Chapter 88 - Chapter 87- Rise of the “Dity” (Boss Fight)

"Anomaly detected! Energy convergence occurring on dungeon floor 4… Alert!! Summoning coordinated received. Please select which entities to send through the portal."

Dori's voice rang out in my head, to which I couldn't be any more confused. (Summoning coordinates? The fuck!? I thought the dungeon's reserve energy was extremely low. Isn't it currently trying to refill said energy store? Who the fuck, is offering energy to it?) Although I was fighting intensely with 2 duke stage mutant monsters, their coordination is piss poor. As a result, I was able to glance over to the others from time to time. That's when I saw it.

A massive magic circle above a 10m tall earthen rampart sucking up everything. It didn't matter what it absorbed, magoi, blood, that fog,,, Anything classified as energy was absorbed. But how is that magic circle even connected to the dungeon in the first place? Whatever! Dori is saying I can said some of the dungeon dwellers through the circle? Then I might as well use it.

"Dori, how many can I send through the portal?" I mentally asked. In response, Dori said

"Notice! Based on the current amount, 100 dungeon inhabitants may pass through… 101... 102… 103…"

Dori kept counting up until after 1 minute, the number of inhabitants reached 1,000. Here, I decided to have 10 children from each clan pass through. Naturally, Horus and the other 99 clan leaders would be joining the fight. Informing Dori of my decision, the automated voice replied,

"Command received… Beginning coordinate conversion, please wait… selecting designated summoned individuals… parsing special interference… Coordinates locked! Alert! Portal is now active. Please stand clear of landing point."

With the addition of the children, the tide of battle will shift into a more favorable situation. With the summoning circle being controlled by Dori, I returned to my current fight. Honestly, I was originally afraid of these two, but the blokes were too busy fighting amongst themselves for who gets to deliver me to the serpent. While they feuded, I commenced my relentless counterattack. One of these bastards are gonna die…

A few minutes earlier

As Cavilhaugh finished setting up the summoning circle, the magic circle began to expand as it absorbed everything classified as energy. This suction continued for a few minutes which created waves of the caustic fog flying upwards into the circle. The magic circle acted as an energy converter as the fog was broken down into an energy usable by the dungeon core, leaving no wasted particles.

Once its hunger was sated, the magic circle imploded creating a portal leading to a tropical forest. In the center of said forest sat a mountain fortress encircled by well developed ramparts. The fortress was bustling with life as many different individuals worked tirelessly as a unified country. Seeing the harmonious spectacle, Cavilhaugh couldn't help but marvel at the peaceful land. Chuckling he shout,

"Haha, I have managed to create a portal to paradise!!! Now, heavenly forces heed my call!!"

Shouting towards the portal in the sky, Cavilhaugh commanded the residents on the other side. His cry was met by silence. Staring up, he continued to cry out but no reply ever came. After nearly 2 minutes, a reply finally came but in elvish,

"Who is that shouting!! Never mind… The master has called us forth!! Charge now and meet out the master's judgement!!"

The voice… Horus said, as he led the other 999 children through the portal leading from the 5th floor to the 3rd floor's arbor battlefield. As they descended, a host of weapons with varied appearances and might ignited. On the backs of each, were wings either ephemeral or material. Some of the descending children towered over the others, or were no smaller than a child. Nonetheless, the all moved in unison as the landed on the field of battle, hearts beating furiously as they craved battle.

Seeing the children clan leaders and a few of their strongest clan members arrive, Yuriy spoke to them using Though speech.

"before you lies an invading mutant force. Do to them as you have done before during our previous war, but spare not a single mutant!!"

After issuing his command, the children sprung into action. They began killing all mutants who so much as blinked in their direction. With their heavily modified magoi cores creating a host of racial differences, they rained death and destruction on all enemy forces they engaged.

Despite their numbers only being 1,000 total, half of them were either Expert stage mages ready to form their Arcane incarnation, or initial Duke stage Battlemasters wielding their personalized Aura Avatar in the form of plasmasabers, energy pikes, volt spears and many other physical appearances.

Of course, these powerhouses were not all who instilled fear into the mutant horde. Yuriy's special children clan lead by Horus bathed the forest in guts, blood broken limbs and other bodily fluids. Their might was unstoppable much like Yuriy's. Among the nine children led by Horus, 4 were at the MagiKnight stage just like Horus and Yuriy, while the others were at the Mana Bladesman stage.

Much like Yuriy, these children were not yet able to develop to the higher stages, but for a very different reason. Magoi cores are artificial and require constant modification before they act autonomously. Yuriy will have to first breakthrough his current bottleneck before they can reach the Arcane Chevalier stage. Regardless, the war machine that is the "children" has officially reared its head before a real threat from the outside.

Seeing how the children have been operating without his command, Cavilhaugh kept shouting at them, but to no avail. In response to their disregard towards their "summoner", Cavilhaugh pranced around and shouted. Spurt of blood trickled from his mouth and leg as he pranced in a tizzy.

Horus glanced over at him, and shook his head. Making his way back towards Cavilhaugh, he cast a healing spell reinforced with aura. The spell swiftly healed the mage's internal and external wounds, leaving the mage stunned by the efficiency of the magic. Horus chuckled and said (in elvish),

"You're a weak, little fleshing thing. Its amazing how you've survived so long. My master might be able to toughen you up, though."

Finished speaking, Horus headed towards the mutant lieutenant which entangled Anansi and the golems. His presents provided the relief Katya's magoi reserve and Anansi willpower needed. Meanwhile, Cavilhaugh remained stiff, staring at Horus. Katya watching their little exchange, chuckled before translating to Cavilhaugh,

"Hehe… He says you're weak, but his master might be able to toughen you up. It seems you managed to summon some kind of elf race I've never seen before."

"That was an elf? I've never seen elves with horns and wings. Are you sure they're not some race of dragon hybrids?" Cavilhaugh asked, to which Katya replied,

"Dragons don't speak the elven language. They are most definitely elves of some sort."

The two conversed amongst themselves while still casting spells at the enemies before them. The appearance of this new addition had stemmed the tide of battle, pushing the horde of mutants back. Albeit, the mutant horde's number swelled as a response. The conflict seemed to have no end in sight.
