Chapter 91 - Chapter 90- Clash of the Champions (Boss Fight) Part 1

"Charge!!!"

"Kill these mutant freaks!!!"

Floating in the air, I could hear the war cries of my party members and the children. Lake a wave during high tide, they slammed into the surviving mutant horde. Those fighting in the air began raining death on both aerial and land enemies indiscriminately. The complete carnage was truly thrilling.

The sight of their fighting warmed my heart. But now's not the time to be admiring the sight. Scanning the battlefield, I began searching for my party members, specifically Ivy. When the fighting began, I noticed she slipped away from the others and started fighting separately.

Initially, I wasn't even worried about her as I have this subconscious feeling she way stronger than she lets on. But during my battle with the 2 mutant lieutenants, I notices an odd aura in the distance. This was an aura I've never felt before. It wasn't that of the monsters, Midgardsormr or anything that matched the warriors or mages I've met before.

(Did another enemy slip into the dungeon as well? Is that why Ivy went of separately? Was she trying to prevent these enemies from joining the wave?) So many questions filled my mind; however, I needed to deal with the enemies in from of me first.

Now that everything's played out in this manner, I need to check on Ivy or I will be a shit excuse of a lover. With that in mind, I fly towards the place I felt that mysterious energy. In a matter of minutes, I arrived only to see a scene of epic devastation. Whoever fought here was long gone. Still, I was able to pick up on that unknown energy, albeit very faintly.

Following the energy trail, I found myself beholding what appeared to be a cocoon made of stone and vines. Like a curious child, I approached the cocoon just to see if this was an enemy or Ivy. The moment I stood at arm's length from the object, it began to crumble. Inside I saw my lover, lying unconscious with tattered armor shreds.

Worried, I cautiously reached down checking for any wounds or poison or anything that could have put her in this state. She had an extremely high fever causing her to twist and turn uncontrollably. In addition, there are deep cuts all over her chest, back, and right arm. Lastly, there seemed to be some kind of venom or fluid which infiltrated one of her open wounds, causing the wound to develop a sceptic infection.

I won't lie, seeing Ivy like this, brought flashes of Jocelyn to the forefront of my vision. I don't want to be the reason for Ivy's death too!! Gently lifting her into my embrace, I cradled Ivy close to my chest while administer first aid. Her facial expression relaxed over time, slowly forming a gently smile when I caressed her face.

"Yuriy… You're here…"

Ivy said weakly, not even opening her eyes as she limply laid in my embrace.

"Shhh. Don't speak. I'm here now. Nothing else will harm you."

I replied softly, fearful of letting out anything more than a whisper. (Who did this? Who…Who… It must have been that fucking snake! They must have had an abnormal mutant lieutenant that posed an eve greater threat than the others!! Fuck that beast!! There can be no merciful end for that snake. Yes! Only the most mournful death will suffice for such an offensive existence!)

Seething with an infinite amount of hate, my aura stated to ooze out with my radioactive bloodlust. Further, that tainted energy in my left hand mana palace began to ooze out of my left arm, mixing with the other energies I produced. Unconscious of my fury, I ordered Dori,

"Dori, channel my consciousness into the 4th floor guardian now!!"

"Command received! Transferring complete control of Core Chamber guardian."

Dori replied, void of emotion with its automated and apathetic voice. In a matter of seconds, I was deeply connected to the floor guardian. The energy my body exuded flew towards the colossal avatar causing visual changes to occur.

The Colossal avatar began to grow, matching the size of Midgardsormr. Next, four heads merged to form a bestial head with 2 eyes where they should be, and another vertical pair on its forehead. Long locs floated up like a gorgon's head of serpents wriggling about.

Armor on the floor guardian changed until it was identical to my armor, black fog and all. A new pair of wings appeared on the guardian's back, wing made of black lightless fog. The 12 arms also fused into only a pair of arms Lastly, a dragon's tail grew from behind and split into 10 tails, one for each element. When the transformation completed, a system message appeared in my blood red vision,

"User has activated Wrath of the Ancestor! Please note, for every minute Wrath of the Ancestor is active, moral affinity (evil) will grew +1. Notice, while in this state User's personality is "Chaotic Evil". Prolonged use of this ability will alter user's personality state."

Although the message warned me of the dangers, I don't give a flying fuck! Filled with endless wrath, I condensed a sword from the dungeon's energy, my bloodlust, magoi, aura and the tainted energy from my accursed mana palace. I then evoked Elemental Fallout, using this newly created weapon as the medium.

With my weapon in hand I didn't even bother speaking to the filthy serpent. Its words would only add fuel to my undying fury. Seeing me approach swiftly, the serpent knew now was most definitely not the time to converse. Thus, it began to command the elements as it fired a hail of caustic spells. In response, I fired a massive sword wave.

BOOOMM!!!

The moment the spell hail and sword wave met each other, a massive explosion ensued, sweeping everything save the floor guardians, myself and Midgardsormr away. Seeing the final decisive battle, my forces stop fighting and retreated back towards the core of the floor. If anything, I made the right choice. As for me and Ivy, the dungeon had created a thick barrier around us while my consciousness was connected to the guardian.
