"you look lost miss Isabella, it seems to me as though you're wondering how great it would have been if you are a normal human being" he said and Isabella glanced at him briefly
she kept silent for a while as if thinking about what to say before replying
"mister Jason, i decided not to fulfill the mission..." she said slowly and an unexpected joy surged inside of jason
he knew she hasn't changed. She's still the little beautiful girl with the rare kind hazel blue eyes that always come for him and rescue him
"but if i do that..." isabella poised and chuckled in despair "we'd all die, me, you, mack, aliya, mrs coker, and your parents, we are all going to die..." Isabella said and jason frowned
"i- it's all because of the damning star plaque! why do your family have to possess it? your family is the last on the list, if the star plaque hasn't end up with you, i wouldn't have to meet this kind of dilemma, now its either i die, or i die....." Isabella said and gulped in sadly
"i don't understand" jason's frown deepened
"i realized something recently....i, i have been deceiving myself all this while..." isabella said and chuckled bitterly
"I've always believe that i don't feel compassion and i don't have emotions but recently i asked myself, isn't getting angry and smiling also a form of emotion? pitying others, isn't it feeling compassion?" Isabella scoffed "i do all those things, i get angry and smile at most, and pitying others is my main character
"after adjoining all of that, i came to a resolve and realized that I'm DIFFERENT! but guess what, i feel lost every time I'm alone, i feel like some part of me is missing, like something is wrong somewhere but i don't know what is really missing, and it kind of bothers me" Isabella said and suddenly turned towards jason "Mr jason, i....i do not want to die but.... fate is so cruel to me, if i fail to fulfill the mission, my father and uncle are going to hunt me down no matter what and if i help fulfill the mission, I'm going to become a monster" Isabella said and for the first time, a hot tear rolled down from her eyes to her jawline
"Do you see that? i even cry now" isabella smiled bitterly
"Do you know what my biggest dream is? to become Human!"
"i want to Love, eat as satisfying as i want, feel compassion, cry, have a beating heart and sleep like every other human being, mr jason, I've never slept a wink since i was born...."
"that's not true!" jason cut her short and Isabella frowned "you were about thirteen years old, i saw you sleep under the shade in eve's garden, you were like a sleeping beauty and you slept so peacefully that i envied you" jason said and Isabella frown deepened
"are you telling me that you knew me when i was a child?" Isabella asked and chuckled "don't be ridiculous mr jason, i don't think I've ever heard about anywhere called eve's garden, maybe you're mistaking me for someone else" isabella said and Jason smiled briefly
"i was wondering why you do not seem to recognize me but now that i think about it, miss Isabella, it seems as though part of your memories have been erased, the last time your uncle came to fetch you from eve's garden, he has this determined look on his face and you never came there again" jason said and Isabella's brows creased while she tried hard to comprehend what Jason just said

"the person with the dove's energy doesn't have a heart, but with the right person, she can pull through and be free from the bondage'' mrs coker said and Isabella thought for a while before speaking again
"so who is this person? i mean, the person with the dove's energy and who is Luna?" Isabella asked and mrs coker grinned
"they are somewhere in a castle, having a chat over a cup of tea" mrs coker said and Isabella frowned
she glared at mrs coker and then the cup of tea on the table between them

Isabella recalled what mrs coker said to her and her breathing tightened
she suddenly grabbed Jason's arm and looked at him apologetically
"Did we share a lot of memories?" she asked and Jason's lips subconsciously curved into a smile
"It wasn't a lot, but they were beautiful" he replied
"Then can you do me a favor? please, tell me everything you remember about me when we first met" Isabella said with pleading eyes and Jason's eyes gleamed with happiness
"sure, lets sit down" jason said and the found an available chair to sit on
