Few weeks later
"So I'mma light....it .....up... like dynamite woah!" That's not me,it's Esther singing in the shower again,many days have passed and we are now best friends, it's just that everyone has gotten used to Esther shouting the house down when bathing,well everyone apart from Taiye.
"CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HOLD THAT GIRL'S MOUTH"Taiye shouted from his room,he does that every morning after morning devotion haha!.
"Esther come on,we are going to be late for school, Mr Jeong will scold us if we are late again and I don't want that" I informed Esther.
"Calm down miss iluv school, I'll come out when I'm done singing, what's the worst that can happen " Esther said turning on the shower.... Again.Argh.
I was feeling frustrated about the fact that Esther does not worry or care about anything.
"I have warned that there should be no late coming,I have many other things to do after dropping you at school, you know?" Mr Jeong said knocking on our door. I know he was keeping a disappointed face.
"I'm sorry Mr Jeong, it's Esther singing in the bathroom again, and Esther just know I will not forgive you if I don't have my breakfast before leaving for school today" I said getting irritated.
"Be cool sis!"Esther said finally coming out. I rolled my eyes.
"You do this every day,are you not tired?,stop it."I said to Esther showing her how irritated I am.
"Hahaha, you said 'stop it', that reminds me when Jin was trying to......" Esther started again.
"SHUT YOUR MOUTH AND PREPARE WE ARE LATE FOR SCHOOL ALREADY!!!" I scolded her.
"Fine fine, I'll do that " she said and started preparing for school. I rolled my eyes..... again.
(At School)
We were enrolled in Bright minds international, it has brightest students and it is one of the biggest school in Lekki Lagos,and as you know Esther is in science class and I am in arts. I like the school it's just that I will miss Esther,that girl is in her last year and she has been my saviour so far.
My enemy who also turns out to be my class mate picks on me all the time and Esther had been there to defend me.
"Wow,lectures have started, the school is just like a graveyard and it creeps me out" Esther started.
"YEAH!,WE ARE TWENTY MINUTES LATE BECAUSE OF A GIRL WHO PREFERRED TO SING 'DYNAMITE' IN THE SHOWER THAN PREPARE FOR SCHOOL, NOW MR OKORO WILL GET THE CHANCE TO DISGRACE ME IN FRONT OF THE WHOLE CLASS TODAY" I said panicking and literally shouting.
"Cool,at least you did not see your enemy before class"
"But I'll still see her in class".
"Let me know if she bothers you and I'll teach her some lectures"
"It's lesson not lectures,you know?, sometimes I don't believe you are in science class at all, science students are calm and brilliant but you are the another thing,HOW!!"
"Haha!,hmm you can say that I'm a special kind or breed or......."
"IT'S OKAY, I GET IT!!"
"Which kind pikins Dem get for this school ni?,una no go go inside go learn?!
(What kind of children do they have in this school, you girls will not go inside and learn?) The school security guard asked us.
"No sir, Good morning sir,we are going in already sir"I said and dragged Esther who was about to say something in with me.

(Break time)
As usual, I meet at the cafeteria with Esther and her other friends who are also my friends,we are more like a squad with Chike,Hilda and Dave. Sometimes they make me feel good,they are fun to be with just like Esther. And it should not surprise you that they are science students too and they are 'madly' brilliant and silly ha!.
Heading towards the group, I was also trying to avoid my enemy,that at all cost I must not see her. Oh!,her name is Nneka Adeyemi,she's like the most beautiful girl in Bright minds,she is my class mate and president who has a deep big crush on the most handsome boy in Bright minds who alsssooo happens to be my class mate but he is in science class. Nneka was my friend on the first week of my resumption into Bright minds but things changed in the second week and I don't know why.
I was almost near my friends when I tripped over,I fell to the floor with the plate of spaghetti and stew that I was holding,it almost stained my white school shirt, I gritted my teeth in frustration knowing the only person that can do that,I raised my head slowly and looked at my left side, behold Nneka and her stupid bestie were sitting there and I'm sure it was her stupid bestie that set her leg for my 'down fall'. I started to wonder how I did not see them,what was I thinking of and how come!!!, I wanted to cry, my hard work was all in vain.
"Haha!, everyone look who is on the floor, it's miss fallalot" Nneka said giving a wicked smile and the lame kids started laughing. This was when I needed Esther's help but that girl prefers to eat spaghetti and stew than help me. Esther use to advice me to stand up for myself, defend myself against bullies like Nneka and that her stupid bestie.
Right now I am so embarrassed that I don't even know how to stand up,I was praying for the ground to open and swallow me,and Esther was still eating..I think. I was about to stand and give Nneka a piece of my mind, so I placed my hand on the table that was at my right to help me to my feet but Nneka's stupid bestie that I don't even know her name used her fist to hit my arm, I winced, removed my oily hand from the table and slipped. I fell face down on the stew that was on the floor and I groaned in pain as the 'spicy' stew went into my eyes. I sat up and was trying to wipe the stew from my eyes but it was not working and I heard no one laugh again except Nneka and her stupid bestie, I tried to stand so that I can locate the restroom and wash my face but I slipped again and fell on the stew,no one bothered to help me and I'm sure Nneka had stopped them from helping me,I was sure that my school uniform was a total mess by now!, this is when I realized that today was the worst day of my life,this kind of disgrace can cause trauma for some kids but I know it was not for me,I need to fight for myself just like how Esther tells me.
I was wondering where Esther and the squad went to when I heard a deep voice speak and everywhere was silent including Nneka and her stupid bestie.
"Oh!,Andrew this girl here is on the floor because of her carelessness and stupidity"I heard Nneka speak to a person that I have no idea about.
"Shut up, I have been watching,you did it on purpose " the deep voice say. I managed to open my eyes and I regretted afterwards because more stew went into my eyes,but I now know who that voice belonged to. Well,it was Andrew Ajileye,the most handsome boy in Bright minds and he is also brilliant just like every other high school hunk.
"Christy are you okay?,let me help you to the rest room"Andrew said,I don't even know how he knows my name,am I too popular?, I did not have enough time to think about that so I accepted his help,my eyes were burning I don't know if I was crying or the tears falling my eyes freely....I think it's both.
"Thank you kind boy"I said trying to imitate my literature teacher, I was surprised that even in my condition I decided to joke. I think it's Esther's behavior rubbing on me.
Andrew helped me to the restroom but he couldn't enter because he was a boy,he stayed until I was done cleaning myself up then he took me to the school clinic,he kept me company until school was over and at the end we became friends. Esther came to see me when she heard what happened to me,she was not eating after all,she was answering Mr Nze our school principal's query.
Few minutes after the school lectures ending.
"Esther who own the food flask you are holding and what is inside,why are you even holding something that is not yours?" I was asking Esther touching my eyes that were now swollen.
"I borrowed it from Chike and it's spaghetti and stew that is in it, it's for a special person" Esther said with a dark smile .
We were standing on our usual spot waiting for Mr Jeong and our driver to come pick us and that's same place where Nneka and her stupid bestie were sitting, Esther walked up to them and greeted then with a fake smile and as usual they ignored her,I was afraid that Esther had lost her mind. She started to open the flask,she pretended that the flask cover was stuck and she opened it forcefully, the spaghetti and stew went straight to Nneka and her stupid bestie.
