When Su Ying and Xiao Jin came out of the room, Zhang Shan and the others had already moved the wild boar onto the ox cart and covered it with straw.
"Brother Xiao, get in. We're heading to town."
Xiao Jin nodded, and Su Ying carried him to the cart and sat down.
The ox-cart wasn't huge. Only space was left for the two of them with the wild boar in.
There was no need for too many people to come and sell the pig. Zhang Shan alone would be enough.
"Young lady Su, Mr. Xiao, we don't have particularly nice things in this village. You can take these pancakes for the road. I hope you can go back home as soon as possible, and don't let your family worry."
"Thank you, Auntie Wang." Su Ying said as she took the pancakes. "We'll remember your family's kindness."
Auntie Wang smiled and shook her head. "We met by chance. Who knows what the future holds? I'm happy enough for doing some good."
