"Father! It's father!"
When Ji and Ling saw Xiao Jin, they cried out excitedly. They twisted their tiny bodies to get off Su Ying, then ran toward Xiao Jin.
Xiao Jin got off the carriage using his hands. He opened his arms and embraced the children.
"Father... Father has finally returned." Ling cried.
"Father..." The staunch Ji also cried the moment he threw himself into Xiao Jin's arms.
Xiao Jin wiped the tears from their faces, his eyes filled with heartache. "Don't cry. Father is back."
Looking at the two thin and feeble children, Xiao Jin was grateful to Su Ying. Even if he didn't know who she was or what she wanted to do, she saved him and allowed him to see the two children again. That was enough.
"Alright, don't cry. Mother bought you a lot of nice food. Quickly go in the carriage." Su Ying walked over and carried Ji and Ling to the cart.
The two little ones stopped crying and looked at the carriage in surprise.
