By the time the next morning arrived, Effie still couldn't seem to fully relax. No matter what she did to try to distract herself, she still couldn't get the whole situation with Reign and the dark witch out of her mind. How was she supposed to leave this up to Reign to handle all on his own? She knew that neither he nor his men stood a chance against a dark witch and her magic. The slimy innards had mixed with the rain and mud, creating a disgusting goo that reeked with a foul, rancid odor.
