Back in the game, Smaug was silently scheming within the depth of his dungeon. He was resting on the throne of his Kobold general who was standing guard nearby.

"I think it's time to work on floor four, but I have no idea how much I'll need, I want floor five to be the first major step up in my dungeon. This is when I'll introduce the kobold clans which will (at least according to the decorations) have some sort of influence across at least his part of the dungeon. Every floor can be guarded by some sort of big kobold who specialises in a given weapon and comands a legion of fighters who are all proficient in that weapon as well."
"My most imeadiate isue is DP though, I'll need to do something to increase my dungeon level or attract more people. Maybe I can just put a good chest in here that'll spawn when all of the kobolds are gone. I wonder if there is an auto placer, or a programable script that I can run that'll save me money so I don't have to buy respawn stones for bosses but still keep mini bosses like these guys around."
[comand received… idea pushed to executives… please wait]
Some time passed in gamer as the suits in the real world read the request, being in the real world, the time it took for them to read and forward the message to their bosses. To them, it was a mere few minutes but to Smaug multiple hours have passed.
"Ugh, I guess I'll get leaving nothing is getting done if I just wait until I have enough DP to get what I want. I'll just buy a spear and some leather armour, might as well play the other half of this game."
Bringing up the dungeon store, Smaug bought the items he wanted, setting him back 760 DP.

After kiting himself with the most basic gear, Smaug set out ready tom kill anything he came across, after all his level 1 - 3 kobolds could fight off the high level adventurers (if you assume level ten or so to be high level compared to his level 5). But after a quick over view of his stats, he was somewhat confident.

"Yeah, that should be able to carry me through what good game design would dictate as a low level starting zone. As long as I don't bump into a special monster, I'll be fine."
By the time Smaug left his dungeon it was mid day, a couple of hours later, the sun had barely moved, but down in the forest, Smaug was running for his life.
"Awwoooooo"
The howl of a wolf could be heard in the distance but if you were to be there yourself, you'd find that the howl was more than the sound it produced. Firstly anyone sensitive to many would know that the howl was filled with it insinuating that the wolf had used a skill. The next thing you would notice is that despite being far away, it'd feel like the wolf responsible for the howl was in arms reach, this was caused by the mana used in the skill. The skill in question? [Predatory Domination] a basic beast skill most high level beasts use especially when their survival strategy uses tactics and intelligence over brute strength. The effects of the skill are simple, anything that hears it and isn't an ally of the caster, gets a slight debuff across the board. Making them slow, weak, and lowering their defensive ability. However this skill should be easy to resist, you just need to be stronger than the caster, if after it hits and you could still beat it, then the skill stops working all together.
Now to rewind a bit, Smaug had just descended the mountain his dungeon called home, and saw a smal pack of wolves all of which were resting in the sunlight asleep. Much bigger than most wolves found on earth, or rather bigger than what the records say. As Smaug had never seen a real wild wolf and could never go to the zoo growing up.
Staring intently at the wolves he got some very basic info.
[Dire wolf]
"That's it? What about levels or danger rating maybe?"
[Upgrade your beast apraisel ability first.]
"Fine then, I'll just figure out their strength by myself. I'll avoid that big one though, their agro range doesn';t seem to be to big so I should be fine."
As Smaug stepped forward, he was as stealthy as possible and out of all the sleeping dire wolves, he picked a rather small one about the size of chihuahua.
[Dire wolf pup]
"I don't like killing babies, but it'll just respawn later, I don't have to feel guilty."
* tink *
"Wha-"
With that one atack, not only did the spear bounce right off the seemingly metallic fur, but the pup and immediately started running about yapping. This woke up the nearby dire wolves and caused a chain reaction in where the eyes of the dire wolves saw him and immediately turned red. Even the wolves on the other side of the field were mad, let alone the big one which was in the middle
This brings us back to the present, with Smaug running for his life. He heard the howl let off by the Dire wolf alpha. Even if the [Predatory Domination] was easy to resist, the dire wolf alpha was still pretty strong for the area. In fact, unbeknownst to Smaug the Dire wolf was level 15.
Unfortunately for Smaug he was level five, with an unfocused build. So when he was hit with the skill, it immediately took affect making Smaug feel like his entire body was wrapped in heavy chains, not only that but a wave of fear hit his brain. It felt like the grim reaper himself was tugging at his soul, and one misstep would cause it to be ripped out.
Now slow and weak, Smaug had no choice to look for something, anything that could help him. That's when he saw a tree. The entrance was completely surrounded in shrubbery and flowers he had never seen before. Without much thinking he dived inside, in hopes that maybe the wolves would somehow lose his sent, even though he knows it'll take more than that to confuse their noses. But a chance was a spark of hope, enough to get him to keep going and not give up.
Diving into the almost impossibly dark tunnel, Smaug was then stuned by a bright forrest, or rather a cheap imitation of one it seemed. It was clearly supposed tgo seem like it was ever expansive in all directions but the shrubbery trapped you on the given bath, being to thick to cut or see through and they were to tall to go over. Just like that Smaug had entered something he would have never expected to find already, another player owned dungeon. The system message he then received filled him with dread.
[Welcome to, the Fairy Forest dungeon.]
