"Well I don't know anything about this world, so I'll choose a dungeon type but this is a tuff one. I'll grab a few interesting ones that catch my eye and preview them while I still have an hour to do so"
Then Michael grabbed multiple dungeons.
Firstly the swamp type was a swamp filled with numerous creatures. From poison slimes to crocs and Snakes. A gross dungeon with a natural stink that would drive away intruders.
Next was a Fire dungeon. It was a stone cavern but the ground was red and hot to the touch, with occasional tubes spitting fire out of them, here there were goblins however they were red as well as various other monsters such as fire spirits of all shapes and sizes and beasts that can imbue their attacks with fire.
The next choice was an Ice dungeon, which loomed like the inside of a glacier but all in all was similar to the fire dungeon except everything was blue and ice based.
After that, the dragon dungeon was a large labyrinth of caves filled with every type of dragon imaginable and the goblin variant here were actually Kobolds which were Dragon like bipeds covered in fur in some places much like that of a dog.
There was also the dark dungeon which had nothing to talk about.
The next few dungeons were interesting.
Firstly the goblin dungeon was filled with hordes of goblins that were by far more powerful than the goblins anywhere else with far more variety in terms of the roles the goblins fill.
Then there was the undead dungeon this demonstration showed people entering the dungeon and getting cut down by some skeletons. After a few seconds, the people rose to become zombies. However, Michael could feel there was a downside to raising the dead as some of them stayed down and were slowly absorbed into the ground.
The next dungeon was the golem dungeon. Which at first appears empty but then piles of rocks floated together to create primitive golems. Some higher-end golems were even made of metal.
"After some deliberation, I want something that will give me open-ended options without limiting me to one path in terms of attack types. But I feel it's what has to happen so I'll chooooooose... The Dragon one. With many types of dragons I can deal with just about anything that resists a given element, hopefully, nothing is immune to everything"
[You have chosen the Dragon-type dungeon, hopefully, you don't become too prideful.
Removing incompatible locations]
Suddenly there were probably half as many dungeon areas left, all of them on mountains or in mountain ranges.
"Hmm, that system message feels fishy, but it might just be a premade message. Who knows what other messages there are hehe. Well I should choose a location, dragons are strong so I'll go right in the middle where everyone meets"
[You have chosen the location "Atop mount Draconis" on the central continent in the White empire territory, do you wish to solidify your choice? This cannot be changed later unless you completely delete your character.]
"Yes!"
[choice confirmed, now you can customize your appearance. This will be affected by the surrounding people as well as your dungeon type]
[due to your choice in a location your choices are as follows:
-Dragon Born: you'll have scaly skin in a color of your choice, the color deciding your natural breath weapon.
-Dragon Kin: you will appear as of one other race with patches of dragon scales of the color of your choice with horns growing out of your forehead with the color of your scales boosting the power of spells of the corresponding element.]
"I'll take dragon born"
[Please choose a coloring:
-Red (fire)
-Blue (lighting)
-White (ice)
-Yellow (earth)
-Green (wind)
-Purple (poison)
-Black (dark)]
"Hmm, thinking about it, Red, Blue, White; Yellow, and Green sound kinda boring, each being overdone or underdone for the same reason. So that leaves Purple and Black while poison sounds cool, I'll take black as it seems to have a much more direct attack damage type while early game my poisons would likely be too weak".
[Choice selected]
[Please state your player name]
"How about…. Smaug?"
[Player name accepted, welcome to [Dungeon Master Online], the world will open shortly in approximately: 0h:0m:30s]
"Whoa, that took an entire hour? Man time sure does fly."
