Chapter 20 - Roaring Qi

Thale lay on the ground, his body battered and broken, his mind a haze of pain and despair as he watched Elara being passed around by the bandits. He couldn't move, couldn't speak, couldn't do anything but lay there and endure the horrors of the moment.

A cruel smile can be seen on Edwards's face as he enjoys Thale's expression.

Thale had always known that Elara was in danger, that she was at the mercy of the cruel and heartless pirates. Something happened to her when she was taken away. But he had never imagined it would be like this, that he would be powerless to stop it, that he would be forced to watch as she was violated and abused.

Tears streamed down his face as he watched Elara being passed from one pirate to another, her cries of pain and protest echoing in his ears. He knew that he had failed her, that he had let her down, and the guilt and shame weighed heavily on his heart, breaking it into pieces.

But even in the darkest of moments, Thale refused to give up. He had to find a way to escape, to get Elara to safety, and to make sure that the pirates paid for their crimes. As he lay there, his mind focusing on the teachings of the old man, he vowed that he would never give up, that he would fight until his last breath to protect those he loved.

Elara was watching Thale, her eyes filled with tears as she looked down at him. She knew that she had failed him, that she had let him down, and the guilt and shame weighed heavily on her heart.

But as she looked at him, her love and affection for him burning brightly in her chest, she couldn't let him suffer anymore. She couldn't stand to see him hurt, to see him abused and violated, and she knew that the only way to save him was to take drastic action.

With a trembling hand, she reached out and grabbed a knife from one of the pirates. She looked at Thale, her eyes filled with sorrow and regret, and whispered a heartfelt apology.

And then, with a determined look in her eyes, she plunged the knife into her neck, ending her life and her suffering in one swift, decisive move.

Thale watched in shock and horror as Elara fell to the ground, her lifeblood spilling out onto the floor. He couldn't believe what he was seeing, couldn't comprehend the enormity of what had just happened.

He just lay there, his heart filled with grief and sadness, Elara had made the ultimate sacrifice to save him, to protect him from a life of misery and pain. At that moment he vowed that he would never forget her, that he would honour her memory and carry on her legacy of strength and courage.

The blood slowly leaked from her body and made its way to Thale. As it reached Thales's checks his body started to tremble with rage and grief, his mind consumed by the horrors of what he had witnessed. He couldn't believe that Elara was gone, that she had sacrificed herself to save him, and that the pain and sadness in his heart were almost too much to bear.

Even in his darkest moments, Thale's Qi was unconsciously flowing out of his body, filling the air with an intense, palpable pressure that made it feel like the very earth was shaking beneath them. All around him, the pirates were feeling the effects of his anger, struggling to stand as the pressure tried to push them down onto the floor.

Thale's face was a mask of black, expressionless hatred as he glared at the pirates, his eyes filled with a burning, unquenchable rage. He had to take action, he couldn't let Elara's sacrifice be in vain, and he vowed that he would make the pirates pay for their crimes.

With fierce determination, he summoned all of his remaining strength and rose to his feet, his Qi swirling around him like a storm as he prepared to unleash his fury on the pirates. They would regret the day they ever crossed paths with him, and he would make sure that they paid for their crimes in full.

Thale's Qi was glowing brightly around his body, a fierce, red light that seemed to burn with the intensity of his anger and grief. He was in a semi-unconscious state, his mind consumed by his hatred for the pirates and his determination to avenge Elara's death.

The ship started to shake and creak as Thale's Qi flowed through it, cracking the wood and tearing apart the metal. The pirates looked on in terror as Thale's power grew, realizing that they were no match for the rage-fueled cultivator.

Thale moved and in a blink of an eye crushed the heads of a few pirates. Thale and the pirate commander, Edward, locked eyes, each of them knowing that this was a battle to the death. With a fierce roar, Thale charged at Edward, his fists glowing with red energy as he prepared to strike.

The two clashed with a mighty impact, their Qi colliding in a brilliant explosion that rocked the ship to its very foundations. Thale's anger and grief gave him a strength that was beyond measure, and he fought with a ferocity that was unmatched.

As the battle raged on, it was clear that Thale was the superior fighter. His blows struck with the force of a thousand suns, and his Qi flowed around him like a raging inferno. Edward was no match for him, and with a final, desperate attack, Thale sent him crashing on the deck, splitting the ship into two.

As Thale's Qi flowed through the ship, the wood and metal began to creak and crack under the pressure. With a mighty roar, the ship split in two, sending everyone aboard hurtling into the sea.

Thale lost consciousness as he fell, his mind and body overwhelmed by the intensity of his anger and grief. He was only dimly aware of the icy water rushing over him, pulling him down into the depths.

As the ship and its occupants were sucked into the depths of the sea, Edward, the pirate commander, managed to escape through flight. He flew away from the wreckage, his body battered and injured, but still alive. Thale couldn't finish him off.

When Thale finally came back to consciousness, he was on the shore of a small island, his body bruised and battered, but still alive. He had no memory of how he had gotten there, but he knew that he had to find a way to get back home and seek revenge for Elara's death.
