Chapter 13 - Good vs Evil?

As Thale and Elara made their way through the mountains, Thale couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness and grief for all that had been lost. The attack on the city had been brutal and devastating, and he couldn't shake the feeling that there was nothing he could do to help.

As they walked, Thale turned to Elara and hesitantly asked her about her family. This was a sensitive subject, but if they were still alive then maybe they needed help.

Elara's face crumpled as she told Thale about how her family had all been killed earlier in the day. She told him about the moment when the pirates had stormed into their home, and how the 3 girls were only able to escape.

Thale listened in silence, his heart heavy with grief and compassion. Nothing he could say to make Elara's pain go away, so he simply gave her a hug and offered her his silent support and shoulder to rely on.

As Elara cried, Thale wrapped his arms around her, offering her the comfort and protection that he knew she needed. They had a long and difficult journey ahead of them, and they are in this together, and he was determined to do whatever it took to help her through this terrible time.

Unknown to Thale the bond created during times of life and death is very strong. Also when there is some attraction involved then it's the receipt for love.
