The Lute Player
Prologue
… The sleek wooden Lute elevated up into the sky in a supernatural fashion. He didn't understand how it slipped from his clutch. Was it the wind or just the almost forgotten magical history behind the Lute's hidden powers?
However, there was a strong string protruding from the side of the lute… he held on to it while pulling it down to himself, it got stuck on an electric pole with the pole's strong strings of compacted wires tearing apart some of the slim strings of musical wire attached to the carefully shaped lute. By the time he finally got it down, some of the strings were gone and some were left; not enough to play with, but enough to awaken the silence…. But did he know it could awaken the silence…?
The assassin was walking steadily towards him with a gun, the Lute player saw him, and he had to do something fast…. But the procession was quite a distance from him… and then like a flash and with a leap of faith, he struck the chords of the badly shaped Lute, softly; with no visible sound around….but he played and prayed….
And with his eyes closed there was an invincible message like a musical number emitting, to form an uninviting symphony; at least somewhere, with a corresponding instrument ....
