Chapter 95 - The home of the harpies.

The harpies spread their wings and lifted off into the sky and I followed behind them but I used magic to fly instead as I didn't want to transform in here too soon.

"From here it should take about 20 minutes to reach our home, Valene." Sammy said as she flew next to me.

The scenery was pretty repetitive as we flew, trees, grass, dirt, lava and the occasional monster.

Just as Sammy said, it took roughly 20 minutes for us to reach Valene and it wasn't what I was expecting.

Valene was a massive ravine with lava flowing along the bottom. Along the walls of the ravine you could see multiple holes carved into it which I assume was where the harpies would live?

The ravine stretched for 2 miles and at the end of the ravine was a lake. Using my [Mastered spacial awareness] I could tell exactly what was happening, the harpies built pipes and used them to carry water to the ravine and supply all the homes with the water.

The homes of the harpies had bridges going along for them to walk and get across to the other side despite them having wings.

'They probably don't want to fly all the time.' I thought as I looked down into the ravine.

"Your majesty, we shall lead you to your home." Ruri said, I followed behind her.

After flying for one mile down the ravine, there was a massive hole in the wall and pillars outside it stretching from the bottom to the top of the ravine and massive double door to cover the hole.

"This is where our leader would normally live, the ogre didn't have enough intelligence to understand us very well and couldn't fly so he didn't live here." Ruri explained.

"That's understandable. The ogre was spewing things like, 'I'll kill you.' 'You filthy humans have no rights to challenge me.' 'I am the leader and you are just ants.' At me while we were fighting and he didn't have a fighting style. The ogre didn't understand when I spoke back to it as well so he is pretty low in the intelligence department." I said as I flew down to the doors of my new home.

"Allow me." Ruri said as she opened the doors for me.

"Thank you." I flew into my home and landed softly on the ground.

I entered straight into a massive room that had two staircases the led to the second floor and two arches the the left and right, leading down to different rooms. Above me hanging from the ceiling was a chandelier made with crystals.

"The rooms on the ground floor are the kitchen with a staircase leading down to the storage room, lounge, a bar, library, office, waiting room, servants room, and a training room. Upstairs there is the bedrooms, there are three bedrooms, bathrooms in each bedroom, library, main office, a training room suited for the use of weapons, a training room suited for the use of magic, a training room suited for the use of both weaponry and magic, there are two lounges, private study, and there are four rooms that are empty."

"I see, thank you. You may leave."

"As you wish." Ruri said as she exited my home, "I shall visit anytime you call, my home is next to yours after all."

I gave a quick nod before placing Yuki down.

"*yip*." -> "how grand."

"It is bigger than I thought originally." I said as I wandered off to the kitchen, "want something to eat?" I asked Yuki who was walking behind me.

"*yip*." -> "of course."

I entered the kitchen and to my left was a staircase leading down, I went down and entered a room with shelves everywhere.

"Ah, here it is." I walked over to a freezer and took out a slab of meat. "Catch."

I threw the meat over to Yuki and used my fire magic to defrost it as it was in the air.

"*yap*!" -> "thank you!"

Yuki jumped up to grab the meat then followed behind me as I went to the staircase and went up it to the main bedroom.

I entered the main bedroom and went towards the bed. The bed was king sized and the opposite side of the room had a fireplace and a sofa facing it. There were windows which allowed me to see outside using magic, illusion magic I would assume. There was a wardrobe built into the walls and a door leading to the bathroom.

"Not bad." I said as I sat on he side of the bed.

"*yip*." -> "are you going to transform into your true form or you beast human/humanoid form?"

"I will show them after a few days of them getting used to me. While it's just you and me I guess I can use my humanoid form."

I got up from the bed and took off my clothing before transforming.

My horns spiralled out of my head and my wings burst from my back, the bigger ones at the top of my back and smaller wings underneath. Then came my long tail that shot out and went onto the floor, the spear head like tip scratched the floor a little as it did so.

I stretched my wings out to the full length and stretched all parts of my body.

"I feel better in my humanoid form than my human form so I'll stay like this for a little longer." I said as I wrapped my tail around Yuki and brought her into my arms.

I then went onto the bed and laid down with Yuki on top of my chest.

"Enjoying the food?" I asked.

"*yip*!" -> "very much!"

"That's good." I patted Yuki with my tail and wrapped my wings around her.

"*yap**yap*." -> "your feathers are very soft, softer than my fur."

"Is it?"

"*yip*." -> "definitely."

"I didn't realise." I said, brushing my hand over my feathers.

'They are pretty soft.'

Yuki quickly gobbled up her slab of meat and snuggled further into my embrace.

We laid in that position for a couple minutes before I decided to check out the library and training rooms.

I got up and placed Yuki on the bed softly. Yuki sat down and looked at me with a tilted head.

"Would you like to stay here or come with me to the library? It won't be very entertaining for you either way so I can also let you outside if that's what you want."

"*yap**yip*." -> "I'll just come with you. I don't mind if it's boring or not, I'll just sleep."

"Okay then." I said as I exited the room with Yuki trailing behind me.

The tip of my tail swished lazily as I walked and the sound of Yuki's small paws echoed in the corridor.

I opened up the tall doors to the library and entered with Yuki before shutting the door and trailing my hands along the books on the bookshelves.

'What should I read?'

I didn't really have an idea of what I wanted to read, I just wanted to check the rooms yet I stopped at the sight of a specific book.

The title read as the follows: 'Summary of summoning and multiple uses for it.'

'Should I try summoning?'

"*yap*?" -> "you want to attempt summoning?"

"Just a thought but I don't see the reason to not try it." I replied as I looked down at Yuki who sat in between my legs, staring up at me.

I slid the book out and carried it over to a sofa placed by a window at the back of the room.

I opened up to the first page,

'Summary of summoning and multiple uses for it by Clarence Fraughter.

Page 1. Summoning is the art performed by many, it is used by those that seek to use the powers from beyond our realm, beyond our plane.

There are multiple planes of existence besides ours and there are multiple universes and worlds beyond our reach yet through summoning one can reach out to one of those planes, to a being who's existence is a mystery to us and beyond our comprehension.

Summoning has many uses and depending on the targeted creature summoned they may be able to perform the tasks you wish for.

Contracting a summon can require things the summoned creature wishes before they agree to your terms, if they agree. These things could range from a certain power level or a certain amount of kills to certain mentalities or personality traits. It could also include them wanting you to give them something, perhaps an offering of sorts. It is unknown what exactly they will wish for so you can only prepare so much for the unforeseen.

Creatures that get summoned can look like anything and when I say anything, I mean it. They could literally be a cloud or they could be some sort of humanoid creature but remember this, if the creature has a humanoid form than they most likely hold immense power.

Let me explain, imagine a creature you have never came across can replicate a look from a different planet. It takes immense power and understanding to do that. Be careful when communicating with such creatures.

'Alright, so the angels and devils are powerful but not all of them, the have seen our world multiple times so I will only apply this to creatures I don't recognise or those I can sense have power beyond me.'
