"Demon and elf, I suggest you make this easier for all of us," Flintheart told the two who were right now in deep trouble.
"A former general, convict even, reduced to a mere teacher. My, how low you've fallen, Flintheart," the demon growled.
Flintheart frowned when he saw a few of the students injured and others unconscious. "What happened here? Actually, more importantly, how did a demon and a dark elf bypass the defence of this school?"
"Those are good questions that needs answering, Flinty. Why don't we ask them ourselves?" another teacher said as he emerged from behind the South teacher.
"Just my luck, another one of them," the demon seethed between clenched teeth.
Most of the students were either unconscious or tired. But they were all sure as hell of one thing... The teachers would handle the rest.
But to the two intruders advantage, the children down was also and advantage for them. The teachers were yet to know of their power. Both turned to each other and nodded their heads in agreement.
"NOW!" that demon screamed as he realesed a giant wave towards both teachers. He knew that that wouldn't be enough to stop them, but that wasn't his goal. He just needed to buy time.
The dark elf snatched Alex back up, holding back the pain from his wounded hand. Then, he quickly tried jumping into the portal, but then a snap was heard. Time had suddenly come to a stop!
"Nope. We'll have none of that," Flintheart said as he patiently walked around the wave thrown towards them and moved towards the dark elf. No one could do anything other than the spell caster himself. And this was one of Flintheart's skill.
He slowly grabbed all children, including the ones unconscious, and placed them next to the teacher who was already preparing a defensive spell but was just stopped because of Flintheart's power.
Then, he carefully moved to the demon, and used some cuffs he carries as souvenirs from his prison to tie him up. Once done there, he walked over to the elf and did the same. And then he finally unfrozed time.
Everyone who was not him continued with their time zones without anyone realizing what had just happened. The teacher who arrived with Flintheard continued with his spell and used his power to form a powerful barrier. Thankfully, he was able to hold the wave back before it collapsed.
He sighed in relief and searched for Flintheart once he realized he wasn't around but was caught in surprise when he noticed something strange. He raised an eyebrow in question. "When did you kids get here?"
"Wha–HEY! WHY ARE MY HANDS CUFFED?!" the demon roared in anger as he just now realized he could no longer move them.
"Um... boss, I think we've got more pressing matters,"
"WHY THE HELL ARE YOU BEHIND ME, YOU IMBECILE! YOU SHOULD HAVE LEFT BY NOW!"
"EY, the hell?! Shut your useless traps right now, you hear!" Flintheart ordered as he went to properly check up on the kids. He calmed down when he realized they were all alive, just bruised badly.
By now, due to the speed he was travelling at, all of them were passed out cold on the floor. He urged the teacher he was with to go and look for back up and take the kids to the infirmary. The teacher nodded and rushed out to the hall.
"Now that that's out of the way..." Flintheart rose from the kid's side and walked menacingly towards the two intruders. "I believe I asked a question. You two care to answer them?"
Both demon spies stopped bickering with each other once they realized their life was in the hands of a previous convict. Though they were sure he could do nothing much, the smile he was giving them and the cracking of his knuckles as he approached them wasn't giving them a whole lot of the confidence they previously had.
"We've got nothing to tell the likes of you! Piss off!" the demon began.
Filintheart's smile widened as he turned to the demon first. "Demon spies, I would ask you to be more cooperative, or I'll have to take matters into my own hands,"
The demon smirked and stared the teacher dead in the eyes. "You think we're afraid of some regressed villain? Don't make me laugh!"
Flintheart gently placed his arm on the demon's foot, then suddenly, it quickly deteriorated until nothing was left but dust. The demon screamed in pain and tried twisting his arms out of their restraint to hold his wound, but failed to do so.
"See I'm a very patient man, OK? Now just imagine for a second what those kids had to go through, fighting large grown ups such as yourself. I hate people who use their power against the weak. Now, holding that in mind, you also beat up some of my students, who shouldn't really be worrying about these things right now. Let me ask you, how far do you think my patience can be stretched?"
The demon was still heaving in pain but nonetheless his resolve was still in tact. "Not....afraid...you,"
Flintheart stared coldly at the pathetic demon, his smile disappearing with the seriousness of the situation. "I'll ask again. Who sent you?"
The demon squealed in shock when he saw Flintheart stretching his right hand to his remaining leg. " WAIT WAIT WAIT!" Let's talk about this like civilised men. No need for violence,"
Flintheart paused. " I'm listening,"
"Good! Good!" the demon laughed nervously.
"I'm just a guy trying to live a honest life, see? Now, where to start. Ah, yes. I was born in a small town called–"
Flintheart quickly placed his hand on the other demon's leg. "I'll count to three. One, TWO! THR–"
"Behind you!" the demon panicked and blurred out something he wasn't supposed to.
"Oh, how original. Here I thought you could last a little longer. I should have your head for that," a different voice spoke. Flintheart turned and quickly avoided a dark arrow shot his way.
"Damn! That was close," Flintheart sighed. He turned to his attacker and his frown deepened. "This is even more serious. Who is the demon general that dares grace me with his presence?"
"It's a her. Sexist bastard," she answered. Only her hair was visible through the large helmet she had on, and a deep scrowl on her face. The demon armor was a given in this type of situation.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I should consider the feelings of a demon who tried to kill me, sure. Why don't we all care about our gender?" Flintheart asked sarcastically as he rose from the ground.
He observed his surroundings and realized that he had left the portal open. Rookie mistake, he thought. "That will one day cost me."
"Talking to yourself, teacher? Finally cowering in fear due to seeing a superior being before you?" the demon smirked.
"Not really no. Question, did you have to kill those spies of yours?" he asked, observing the arrow just thrown at him had pierced through the two intruders he was questioning.
"There's no room for snitches nor weakness in a demon army. Since we are asking questions, how about you answer some of mine. How were you able to take my men without getting a scratch? And could you please give me the kids I want. With sprinkles on top too,"
"Nah, I'm good. How about you just walk through the portal you came from, and I ignore this issue?"
"You think you can take me," the demon growled.
"Oh, I know I can take you. And also, I've got back up coming my way,"
The demon general smiled. "Lowly weaklings. Always calling for back up. But I had already prepared for that before hand. I'd say they'll find a little surprise waiting for them on their way here,"
Flintheart did not like what the demon had to say. If he remembers correctly, the teacher and the medbay unit were the only ones on the way. He didn't recall telling the teacher to bring in more back up.
"But wait, if you too have some of your minions here, isn't it essentially like calling for back up?"
The demons cocky smirk evaporated just as fast as it came. "DIE, YOU SCUM!"
She released a large swipe of dark energy that destroyed everything in its path. The dark swipe was not only targeting him, but the kids too. But Flintheart looked calm as he stretched his hand out and a purple clock appeared.
Immediately the wave touched the clock, it quickly dispersed. The demon scowled in anger before muttering, "Time magic. Such a pain."
"Better believe it baby! I call it 'Reverse time'. Any spell that comes into contact with me or this clock will immediately be reduced to its original form, which is nothing. And please stop spraying that stuff of succubus that you have on you, the same principle applies to it,"
The demon general scowled but didn't say anything more. Flintheart sensed something was off, and quickly turned to the students. "NO!"
One of his students was been sucked into a dark shadow below them together with an elf. Flintheart rushed towards them, his face filled with worry. He knew that his power had limits, he couldn't use 'Reverse time' on anyone else other than himself unless he had contact with the desired target.
Unfortunately, he was a wee bit too late. Both kids sunk into the shadow just as fast as being sucked into a black whole.
"Too bad, human! I thought you had the power of time! What? Your cool down still active?" the demon mocked with a sly smile as she held both kids in her arms. Flintheart mouth twitched in irritation.
If he had known that there was more danger, he would have never used his one day skill on a couple of weak spies. "What do you want with them?" he asked as he tried coming up with a plan.
"Sorry, that's for me to know and for you to find out. I'm dissapointed that I didn't have time to play with you a little more, but duty calls," she answered and moved on towards the portal.
"You think I'm just going to let you get away with them?!"
"Shouldn't you be busy helping out the 'back up' coming your way?" she laughed as she passed through the portal. Flintheart thought that he could jump in right after the demon general, but his idea was quickly dashed when a large demon passed through the open portal, and crushed it to ensure no one could track them back.
"Hello puny human! I shall be your opponent–" , it didn't finish that sentence as it would have been a bit difficult with its head chopped off. Flintheart lowered his hand and wasted no time to rush to the rescue of the Medbay team. Luckily, the halls had reset themselves back to their original form, so it was relatively easy for him to track them down.
He found the West teacher holding back about ten demons with his ability while the medteam cowered behind him, but the blood dripping from his nose said that they didn't have a lot of time. With one clean swipe, Flintheart used the same skill he'd used with the demon he just killed, 'Time zone'. All of the demon's heads lobbed off to the ground.
A skill that takes a specific part of anything to a different time line, provided the time line is not affected. In this case, it was the neck of all the monsters.
"Is everyone ok?"
"Yeah, just a little lightheaded from expanding all that mana. The kids?"
"Two taken. Couldn't push the general back,"
"You know what this means, right?"
Flintheart inhaled sharply. "Fine. Call in the principal."
