"I–I guess the winner of this round is the general," the ref announced once again, even him still not sure if what he said was right.
The general walked back to his door while still just about everyone was in shock. I mean, we knew they were powerful, but to release one punch and destroy an armor specifically made to combat a dragon? HOW?!
"Uh...yeah. Guess that's the end of this match. A shame really," the Beast king commented in a low voice.
Is...is he disappointed? Was he expecting something more from this fight?
King Fenrick looked neutral, no surprise from his face. Probably wondered why the match didn't end sooner. The representatives on the other hand were all beaming with excitement in their eyes. Leave alone the representatives, except me and Mrs Kelly, the warriors around all had satisfied smirks on their faces.
Hmm... Weird. And I'm one of them.
"Well, that wasn't very entertaining," the Beast king added. I think he didn't realize he was on speaker too.
"I'm sorry, sir? Did you just say something about entertaining?" General Zard asked once he was back in the podium.
"You're hearing your own things, warrior. Moving on, the screens have been updated,"
This time, I'm pretty sure they are saving the best for the last. Or more accurately, the less entertaining for the last. Cause the next match was the Were girl vs one the leaves of life.
"Did I miss it?" someone asked as she plowed through out door. Looks like the viper master didn't feel like resting. She was covered with bandages all around her head, a stick on her left hand for limping towards us. Her determined eyes scanned the room and realized the general was back here.
Her face drooped in disappointment when she realized she missed everything. Battle freak.
"What's the next match up?" she asked dejectedly.
"Take a sit, Viper, and watch how a real warrior fights," Wonder Were girl proclaimed proudly.
"Her? Really? I should just head on over back to my bed cause nothing good will happen around this match,"
"What's that supposed to mean?!" Were girl asked angrily after stopping her advance to the arena.
Viper master shrugged with a mocking smile.
"Oh yeah, Sally? Just you wait, I'll prove you wrong," she huffed, pouting and stomped her way to the arena.
"Pfft! Sally? I can't believe your actual name is Sally," l commented while holding back my laughter.
"Oh? You find my name funny?" she asked me with a smile that didn't reach her eyes. I sensed a cold chill in back and my Beast senses warned me I was treding over dangerous waters.
"Not funny per say, more like, unexpected," I tried defending myself. " On a more important note, will she be OK?"
"She'll be just fine– wait, don't go changing the subject, honey. What was that about my name?" she asked. Yup, those are definitely veins I'm seeing on her head.

**ten minutes later*

So funny thing, I now know everyone's name in the group. Ignoring the bump on my head, I was forced to confess my real name to the warriors. Some felt like this was a good time to know each other so they all introduced themselves.
Everyone knew the general's name, so they all started with the ice princess. I already knew her name so there was nothing new to me too. Same goes for Mr Ben. But the soul reaper introduced her self as Merlik coeman. High wizard was known as Harold quinstain.
"And that one right there is called Clare Claudia," Sally explained as she pointed to the wonder were girl.
"You guys go a long way, huh," I mumbled as we waited for the match to start.
"You could say that,"
Another hood walked in, but his hood down this time. Well, I've seen my fair share of elves and I'm pretty sure that's how they look in their teenage years. He looked barely eighteen, but that didn't mean he lacked power.
Our very able ref grew from the ground once more, or more accurately raised from the gound with some wierd mechanis, no injuries on him to report this time.
"Y'all know the drill. I'm not paid enough to repeat my self and fair warning, don't, and I mean DON'T make my work harder that it really should be. Anyways, Begin!"
Both contestants stared each other down. It was the elf that spoke fast.
"You're hardly worth the effort. Hey, ref? Can't you give me another match with someone more powerful? I want to test my strength against someone like the ice princess," he said.
Silence descended on the entire area. Clare gnashed her teeth in anger at the outward disrespect she was given.
"Sorry, elf. I'm not the one who makes the rules," the ref answered.
"Are you calling me weak?" Clare asked in a dangerously low voice.
"Weak and brainless. Must run in the monster gene," he answered slyly.
Now, if I could tell you the amount of murderous intent I could feel oozing out from Clare, I'd have to say it felt like a tsunami. Most monsters around me frowned at that remark the elf had to say.
Of course, I was unaffected by this miniscule taunt, cause he was obviously trying to get a raise from the werewolf. Guess it worked.
Clare pounced on the elf who easily dodged the attack and countered with a fist to the stomach. Clare was pushed back a little with that punch but she held on tight.
"That all you got?" she asked as she did a round kick on the elf who this time couldn't dodge it. He skidded a few meters away but immediately came up to his feet, a dagger in hand.
"This is going to be fun," the elf said and attacked Clare with excellent prowess. Clare found herself caught up in a defensive pose tying to push back the elf who at the moment had the advantage. There were various cuts around her arm but she managed to escape from the deadly enclosure with just a few flesh wounds.
"You've got skill, werewolf. Too bad I'm better than you. I think you should know who you are facing now. You've earned the right to know your killer at least," the elf began.
Clare had already distanced herself from the battle, he chest heaving up and down in fatigue.
"I go by the name Earl. Just Earl. Wanna know what they call me back home?" Earl asked as he encircled the tired wolf." They call me the BESERKER!" he roared and charged at Clare once more.
Clare was more than ready to counter him this time. Her hands grew into claws as she held the dagger in her palm and crushed it to pieces.
"Now it my turn to attack!" she screamed and immediately began clawing at the elf. Earl this time found himself overwhelmed with torrents of attacks in different parts of his body.
It was also difficult for him to find a way to counter that close fist fight without his trusty dagger helping him out.
"This much already has found its winner," One of the representatives spoke up. I turned to the kings and noticed that the Beast king had a worried look on his face. The Elf King also looked too calm for this match.
Something was definitely off. I turned and continued watching the match, looking for what I was missing.
Earl was already in bleeding state, the claws doing a lot more damage on him than he would have liked. Clare had a satisfied smirk on her face as she paused to take a breather.
"Where's all the arrogance gone, Earl? I thought you said I was weak!" she said and threw a fist to the head to ensure her win. Suddenly, it was stopped with one arm by Earl.
"You are weak," he said with a bloody smile. Clare tried pulling her arm back but found it impossible.
"H–how?" she asked, a slight fear in her voice heard.
Earl lifted her of the ground and punched her deep in the guts. Since he held her, she could do nothing more that cough up a pool of blood. Earl continued punching her where she was free, never giving her a chance to breath then with an uppercut, finished her off.
Clare flew out to the field, blood gushing everywhere till she finally came to a stop on the wall. Everyone looked shocked by the sudden change of pace and the amount of strength the elf had. Our ref seemed to start raising his hand to declare the win when he was stopped by Claire's desperate attempt to fight on.
"I'm.... not.... Done!" she heaved. She howled in rage on all fours in frightening sound and began her transformation. Blue fur covered her body and he nose elongated to a snout. Razor sharp teeth were seen growing larger and sharper together with her clothes reaping do to the sudden change.
A full blue wolf was in display before us, it's mouth baring at the Elf. So that's a full transformation of a normal warewolf. Honestly speaking, I think Murasaki and Red are much larger but that's probably because they're fully wolves.
The wolf seemed to be healed of most of its injuries, but even I knew that a lot of energy was expanded just for this one transformation. So Clare has chosen to give this everything she's got. Unfortunately, for some reason, the adamantium weapons were not responding to our orders here so thos was all she could do. Must be the kings doing.
A frown appeared on Earl's face when he saw his opponent was fully transformed. He knew that the wolf's power increased with each transformation, and when fully transformed is when all the strength the wolf is portrayed.
"Even I know when hand to hand combat is over. I really didn't want to use this power this soon, but I guess I have no choice," he said and raised both his hands.
He began rising in the air, numerous tentacles erupting from his body. They looked like they were made of mana, and they probably were. They were in a pinkish-redish color, pores showing around and I counted up-to eight. Their sizes were outrageous and they looked strong. Really strong.
That's what I was missing! All this time, he's been able to use his magic against Clare but didn't do so. He was just waiting for the right moment to activate his ability. No wonder the Beast king looked worried. If that's the power of the Beserker with only raw fists, then how powerful is he really with an ability?!
Clare hesitated to attack the elf. Somehow she could sense the impending doom held in those power tools. But Earl had no such hesitation.
He launched two at Clare which were barely dodged by her. She tried countering with an attack from the side but two more tentacles came forward before her and swatted her away like a fly.
That attack was so powerful, she was knocked off her feet. She quickly rose and dodged another fury of attacks from the deadly tentacles. She was already bleeding from the snout which told us that another attack from those things will immediately kill her.
"This is my win, wolf. The sooner you know that the better," Earl laughed gleefully as he continued his barrage of attacks.
Clare growled and used her speed to close the distance between them, aiming for his head. That was her fatal mistake.
Two tentacles stretched from the side and grasped both her front legs. Earl had intentionally created a space for the wolf to attack, only for it to be caught in the trap.
With a swipe to the ground, a large crater was created where Clare was beaten down continously with the tentacles to a bloody pulp. The tentacles then grasped her again and raised her from the ground, all bloody and mangled. I could hear her whimpering even from such a distance.
"Weak monsters like you don't deserve to be alive. DIE!" he shouted with disgust and threw five tentacles, ready to crush Clare to dust.
"ENOUGH!" the Beast king roared in anger. The elf froze in place, his face filled with fear.
The king snapped his fingers and Clare suddenly vanished from the tentacles.
"There shall be no killing in my territory, thank you very much. And monsters, please release your skills, your going to kill the victor."
So I wasn't the only one who used a skill?
