Alex Hound strode on over to the med bay in high spirits right after class. He had a wide grin on his face as he thought about all the fun things he would do with his best friend now that he was to be checked out today.
Unfortunately, Max(his new bro) was away in that meeting of unknown. A shame really. That probably put a damper on the day but nonetheless he wasn't going to let that ruin his friend's happiness.
Today, other than the normal white army shirt and trousers, he felt like putting on one of his favourite hoodies. A navy blue thick one at that. To him, it was a good luck charm. And today, he was feeling quite lucky. The term went on smoothly ever since he met Max, and he had new friends to show for it.
Clive was a pain in the butt at times, but once you get to know him, he wasn't all that bad. Griffin was a little weird, but he respected his smarts. And that Jessie girl always creeps him out. She always acts nice but Alex could sense some sort of scheme behind her. It also didn't help that he hated how she always acted around Max. Hated it very much, in fact.
"There he is," Jay greeted as he saw Alex walk in through the door. He was already in normal clothes, just his back placed on the bed. He was probably waiting on Alex, his face failing to hide his excitement.
"What's up, Jay?" he answered back as he pounced on his friend and gave him a hug. He still hadn't forgiven Jay for lying that he was paralyzed. That was an awful trick on his part, but at least he's in good shape.
Both kids soon walked out the med bay while chatting excitedly about visiting the various parts of clubs they had yet to join.
"How have you been keeping up with studies all while healing through the injuries?" Alex wondered as they turned into the first hall where allegedly the martial arts club was.
"I have this great teacher called Mrs Alia. She's been to tutoring me through the classes and even more, so don't be surprised when I whop you arse in coming exams," Jay answered cheekily.
"You and your cursing. You know your older than me so you should lead by example. Now see the kind of influence you have on me," Alex joked. Jay smirked and suddenly grabbed Alex in a choke hold.
"You're too good for cursing, Alex. And since when did you look up to me?," he laughed as he roughed up his hair.
"Nice to see you kids are having fun," someone spoke from the room they were heading.
A blonde guy emerged from the martial arts room. He looked ready to box, the white clothes obvious for that purpose. His face was a little light-skinned, but his pointed ears gave away his race. But what was odd about this particular elf was that his face didn't look like any normal elf they know of.
Jay slowly let go of Alex and faced the new monster in front of them. He felt like he knew who this guy was. And not on good terms too.
"Um...hello? We were just passing by this here club. We wanted to see what you guys do so that we could see if we felt like joining it," Jay began.
With no words and just a slight smile, the guy parted from their path and allowed them to enter the room.
"That was weird," Alex whispered when they were a good distance away from the guy who never even once lost eye contact with them.
"You're telling me? Anyways, let's just look at the club. You told me that a friend of yours mostly invests his time around here?" Jay asked as the passed by the punching bags.
"Yeah. His name is Clive. Don't know how we haven't seen him till now,"
The room was bigger than they imagined. They passed by a few practice dummies here and there, a couple of dumbbells on the way, and a reasonable number of fake swords. The room was all clean and swell but the main question on their mind was where was everyone who's supposed to be here?
"I thought they would be a buttload of people around here what with its usefulness in battle," Jay commented as they continued with they visit.
"I thought so too. Especially the fact that Clive wasn't around," Alex continued.
"Yeah. And something about that guy we met from the start still bugs me,"
"How so?"
"Like the fact that he's been following us through this whole visit. Don't look back, he'll know we're on to him," Jay whispered to his friend.
Alex went on high alert once he heard that. His brain immediately took him back to the fight of his brother, where he mentioned it wasn't him that had attacked Jay.
"Jay, if I may ask, do you remember the face of the guy that attacked you?" Alex whispered back.
Jay seemed to go into thought then immediately blood drained from his face.
"We have to leave, NOW!" he whispered sharply and quickly began looking for the exit.
"Why, what wrong?" Alex was now panicking.
"It was him, now that I can think clearly about this,"
They quickly retraced their steps and soon found themselves back at the door. A locked door to be exact.
"What's the rush, you two?" the boy from before asked. Both young boys turned in fear and stared into the menacing smile he had on his face. " You haven't signed the petition yet,"
"I–I think we're good," Alex stammered as both boys backed away from the threat in front of them.
"Nah, dudes. Trust me, this club is to die for!" he roared and attacked both boys with earth magic. A large wall of rock came hurling towards them. Thankfully, both were able to duck just in time and run from the psycho.
"What's wrong with you?!" Alex asked as he followed Jay to look for another exit.
The boy's smile turned to a frown but he still did not answer. The two boys were desperately searching for a new exit. Alex caught a narrow door at the corner of his eyes.
"There!"
Both boys sprinted for the door with hope feeling their hearts that they could escape with their lives.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you," the attacker shouted as he chased steadily behind them .
Jay pulled the door open and jumped back in shock as a large body fell down before them. Alex held his mouth in shock when he saw who was trapped in that door.
"Uh...." Clive groaned in pain.
"A minor inconvenience. Now, why don't you be good boys and listen to what I say," the attacker said as he edged closer to the boys. Alex took a protective stance between him and the attacker but due to previous injuries, Jay had no choice but to stand back.
"Who are you?" Alex asked in anger as he held back his tears. He promised himself he would never cry over small matters.
"Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. Who I am is not relevant. But for identification purposes, call me Mr nobody," the boy answered.
"What do you want with us?"
"Us? No, Alex. I want you," he answered.
"Why?"
"That's for you to find out and for me to keep quiet. Now, how about you answer some of my questions. Will you cooperate with me or not?" that question came with different meanings.
"Don't do anything he says, Alex. He's bad news that guy," Jay growled and winced in pain due to the way he overexerted himself.
Mr Nobody's face scowled when he had what Jay had to say.
"You better be quiet, boy. Or I'll–"
"You'll what? He's the one that attacked me. I'm sure of it now. So, you a minion if 'him'?"
"Minion? Oh you mean of that failure of a wizard, Mason was it?"
An ice shard immediately sliced his cheek. Blood dripped down and Mr Nobody held his scratch in surprise.
"Don't call my brother a failure," Alex seethed in anger. Nobody's face contorted to anger when he saw the size of his injury.
"You brat! They said nothing about bringing you in unconscious so–" swift as the wind, Alex was suddenly kicked at the side. He felt his bones crack under the pressure before he was blasted to the other wall.
"Alex!" Jay shouted in concern. He angrily turned to the attacker.
"Leave us alone!" he screamed in anger, but that was just about all he could do.
"Do you really think I would do that? You have no idea how long I've planned for this. A time when the principal and the adamantium general were far away from this school. Even that new kid, Mandrax, would have posed a problem but thankfully, he too is away hence the ease of this mission just multiplied,"
"What about the teachers, huh? They'll stop you!"
"Sure about that?" immediately, Mr Nobody's form began melting. It began smothering and enlarging until a full black elf was before them. He had a black amour on that only left his face wide open.
"You still think they're a match for me?" he chuckled.
Jay's eyes widened in shock when he realized he was dealing with a grown up.
"H–how?" he whimpered in fear.
"Hold that thought," he moved his head to the side and a fire ball passed by him.
Jay zoned in on Alex and saw he was barely standing. That kick must have done a number on him. He was bleeding over his blue hoodie, barley even conscious at this point but the look of determination in his face was as fresh as day.
"Huh, you're still awake after that kick? Well, let's fix that,"
Jay tried screaming for Alex to run but it was too late. The elf used that super human speed of his and Alex was immediately punched to the gut with a powerful blow that he could not even see coming. He vomited a pool of blood and passed out immediately.
"No...please. Not him, not again!" Jay cried, "Please...someone.. anyone, HELP US!"
The dark elf smiled in amusement as he heard what the half wizard had to say. But his smile didn't last long when he felt multiple presences approaching.
The door previously locked was blasted open and five people entered the room, weapons drawn.
"Alex said he would be in here. Now, why was the door closed?" Arnold asked.
"Probably so that the dark elf over there could carry on with his business without interruption," Kira mentioned as he pointed to the frowning elf with one of her daggers.
"You've made a grave mistake, Mister. Now, you're gonna regret stepping foot in this school," Blade added. Both Bareth and Emily nodded in agreement.
Jay turned to the group, his eyes filled with gratitude. But it was short-lived. Even with numbers, they still couldn't take on a warrior of the demons.
"Well, well, well. I was gonna search for you right after I was done here, but who would have thought you'd bring yourself to me, prince Arnold?" the dark elf laughed.
"I'm sorry, I was also your target?" Arnold asked in surprise.
"Oh, this just keeps getting better and better! Princess of the Demon Race, Emily of the Demon king Jack Decapro, your father has been searching for you,"
Emily eyes widened in shock.
"So he knows?"
"You can bet your pretty little butt he knows, deserter," the dark elf spat in disgust.
Emily's eyes turned dangerously dark. She immediately identified him a threat, and would do a lot more than just try to capture the dark elf.
Everyone was on guard due to the difference in age of the elf. But they hoped that they would buy enough time for a teacher to show up.
"I bet you guys are thinking that if you buy enough time, a teacher will show up. Newsflash, I already dealt with that, or have you guys forgotten what day it is?" the dark elf said.
The children looked at each other with realization but they wouldn't back down. Not now, not ever. What mainly kept their fear away is one though that circulated in their heads.
'What would Max have done?'
"Yeah, so? You're still not leaving this room alive," Bareth growled.
"Poor dumb wolf. It's actually you who wouldn't leave this place alive!" the Dark elf roared and jumped towards the kids who dared to stand in his way.
