{Planet 214.G}
The darkness is always comforting for a monster like me.
I was surprised to find myself in a dark place once I passed through the gates, before my eyes could fully adjust to the little light on the planet.
The planet itself, as explained by Flintheart, existed where no sun was present. So, our class teacher issued out one lamp to each group, for better visualization.
Speaking of visualization...
"Hey Blade, now's your chance to finally make yourself useful. Shine bright, my dude!" I whispered into the human's ear. He didn't like that joke and poked my ribs as his answer, and would have gone farther were it not for Bareth who intervened.
"Alright kids, gather around," Flintheart began and patiently waited for everyone to converge around him before he continued.
"I'll give each group a red flare. In case of an emergency, feel free to aim the flare towards the sky and shoot. I believe each party formed has the capability to handle themselves. It's nessesary for all of you to learn battle experience in groups then, maybe later on, all on your own,"
"This, by the way, is your first training session with me so if you die, I'll kill ya. Keep in mind that there are other parties and guilds not associated with the school present in the planet, but only our class is in this planet. Are there any questions?"
"Where do we store the beast essence once we aquire them?" the four eyes from before asked.
"Yeah, I'm not answering that. Figure it out yourselves. Now, if you'll excuse me, I better go to my bed–I mean a higher view point to observe your progress. Happy hunting, everybody,"
"Wait! Mr Flintheart, will the other groups present in the planet disrupt our progress?" Emily asked.
The whole class turned towards her and stared at her in resentment for even daring to speak up, and I didn't blame them one bit. I mean, there were some of my classsmates who lost their friends in the fight, and how would you feel if the person responsible for your friend's death was allowed to roam freely, in your classroom no less!
Emily now looked ashamed for opening her mouth, and realized she shouldn't have said anything, especially now, but it was already too late.
"I have a better question. Why are we still allowing this bitch demon to travel with us? Not only the demon, but also the assassin whore in Max's group. How sure are we they won't backstab us when our guard is down?" Clive Dickson, a half orc, asked. He's angry, that's for sure.
"Hey bro, don't you think that's going a bit too much for insults?" Blade asked, glaring at Clive.
"I say it as it is. You can't expect me to just allow this to go on unannouced. I value my reputation and pride as a monster just as much, and leaving that girl, both girls, still breathing is a crime on its own. Don't bare at me, wolf boy, I have teeth too," he answered, then he raised his axe as a threat to Bareth who, at the moment, had his hand at the hilt of his sword.
"Fight in my presence, and I'll obliterate you both, Kapish?" Flintheart stopped them both before things got real ugly, his eyebrows furrowed in irritation. Both Clive and Bareth slowly put their hands back in a neutral position, but still glared at each other.
"Alright then. With no more questions, I'll be taking my leave," Flintheart said and just vanished into thin air. He's been good at that, vanishing when needed. You'll know why I say that soon enough.
"Just you wait. I'll show you two just how frightening the world can be for the likes of-" before Clive could finish that sentence, I interrupted him by raising my right hand to stop him.
"Bro, I hate the demon just as much as the next monster, but I think you've already said enough. Unfortunately, she's in my party, and you are talking badly about my assassin friend, so yeah, I've got my limits too, you know?"
Clive smirked at me before he said, " Oh, and you think I'm scared of a weak race like yours?"
"Wanna test that theory of who's the weakest race around here?"
"Do your worst, Furrha,"
I shrugged my shoulders and shook my head. I mean,he did ask for it, and who I'm I to deny him of what he wants?

He couldn't see me coming with the amount of speed I was using. One second he was upright, the next, he was down on the ground, holding his stomach in pain while wondering what just happened. I left his party members trying to attend to him while I joined up with my party.
"Well then guys, I think we've wasted enough time with this idiot. Let's head out," I told them, dusting my arms like I was just in contact with trash, which you could say I was.
By using the lamp's light, I could tell that most of my group members had smiles on their faces, even Emily had a slight smile on hers.
What are they happy about? I just did what I had to do to stop that blabbering idiot from belittling my friends, except the demon of course.
"Thank you, uh...I'm just going to call you Mandrax, for doing that. Though you didn't have to do, seeing as you still don't trust me and all, " Emily thanked me.
"Wasn't doing it for you. Never even crossed my mind,"
"Of course it didn't,"
"But I did do part of it for you, Kira,"
She turned at me in suprise, but the next words that came out of my mouth made her almost punch me, as she is trying to make it her habit.
"Now I don't owe you anying. HAHAHAHA!"
"I knew it was to good to be true!" she complained when she heard me laugh in the dark. We soon departed from our position and headed into the dark trees, searching for any beasts to hunt.
I told Bradley beforehand when I landed on this planet to scope out the area around, and direct us to monsters in our league, in hopes of clearing as many monsters as we could. But unfortunately, when we came across a cave as pointed by my system...
***
<*Den of Diamond coated wolves*>
---
[You're not serious, right?]
*** A purple wolf came out of the cave and began growling at us the second it noticed how close we were to its den. *** <*Mirth coated deranged wolf*> <*Level 11: Grade A*> <*Able to withstand all magical attacks below its level*> ––– [Um... Bradely? I think we'll need to have a talk about what is around my level and what is not!] *** The wolf saw how many we were, gauged its chances of survival, then howled a mighty howl, summoning the entire pack from behind it. More wolves arrived, but were all blue, around grade B and C which, still paused a challange to us. In total, there were about fifteen of them, excluding the Mirth one. To make matters worse, a red wolf appeared too, a much higher level than the purple one, making it the largest threat present from the pack. "This is going to hurt, a lot," Blade said as he removed his white guns, "Luckily, unlike last time, I now have my babies with me, each at level A," "Wish I had my red sword," Emily mumbled, which gave me an idea. I summoned her black sword from another of my storage rings and surprisingly, it still heeded my call but was now red. I handed it over to her, who looked at me surprised. "I'm not giving you the sword because I trust you, it's because you are the only one here who can use it to the best of its capabilities, and we need all the help we can get," I clarified for her so she wouldn't get mixed ideas. She nodded her head, gave me a grateful look, then entered her fighting stance. "What are you going to use, Max? Your spear?" Kira asked after removing her twin blades. "Nope. I'm going to use my watch," I answered, lifting the watch given to me by the government , the name Randoff glitteing in the dim light of the lantern. Everyone present looked at me confused at first, but then refocused back to the wolves. That's when the red wolf's voice reached my mind. "You've made a grave mistake coming here. I will feast on your bones and tear your loathsome flesh off your bodies!" it spoke. Huh, Kira was right about meeting intelligent beasts. "This is going to be a lot of fun," I mumbled sarcastically, then started charging up my watch with electricity. The watch, which I've never taken off in my life, when charged up with enough electicity, transformed into a large mighty lightning bolt! This power was only possible due to a restriction that was broken with a bit of help from Bradley. Who would have thought to hid such a magnificent weapon in a watch? Only a family with the name Randoff, that's who! I sure struck gold with this watch! *** <*Golden Bolt of Olympus(Renos)*> <*Level ???*> <*A weapon from Olympus used by the god Zeus during the golden age while fighting against his father Kronos. Said to carry unlimited power depending on the users will potential*> *** The red wolf saw the weapon I was holding and at once knew it was a potential threat to its life. *** <*Appraisal skill [LVL 1] has been activated!*? --- <*Ruby coated deranged wolf*> <*Level15: Centurion*> <*Can withstand both magical and physical attacks below its rank. When driven to berserk mode, it is able to move at a much higher speed and summon a red beam from its mouth, able to cause catastrophic damage, enough to annihilate a city!*> *** I frowned at the description of the beast. Annihilate a city with just one blast? This beast is the real deal! "Emily, take care of the purple wolf. Kira help her," I instructed, as I stared at the red wolf that seemed to make me its target. "Leave the red one to me. Bareth, Blade, I leave the blue ones in your hands. Please, if things get too dicy just like last time, feel free to run away," "You and I both know we'll never run away from a fight. And who died and made you leader?" Blade asked. "Anyone else wants to take charge? Feel free to do so," "Not that I'm complaining or anything," he murmured in a whisper that only my sensitive ears could pick on. The blue wolves were quivering in fear when they saw my weapon, but once they heard what they had to face, they calmed down. They had complete faith in their boss to take care of the annoying half-wolf. All they had to do is kill the human and warewolf, and their job was done. " Alright Mr. Red, why don't you make my day!" "Your bones are mine!" It roared and charged at me in full force, then immediately pounced the second it was in range. I easily dodged it and countered with an attack of my own, a punch to its side while it was still mid air. The beast went bouncing off on the ground, and I chose this moment to watch how the gang handled themselves. Emily and Kira were fairing quite well, the purple wolf already having a few scratches on its face. Two blue wolves were down courtesy of Blade and Bareth, one's head blown off and the other, no head to speak of. "Hmph! Trying to outdo me? I'll show you," I murmured as I raised Renos. The red wolf was just now trying to get up on its legs, still to recover from my punch, but that was just perfect for me. *** <*weapon 'Renos' has been fully charged!*> *** "Alright, let's see what you can do at full charge!" I shouted as I pointed the spear directly at the wolf. A powerful lightning bolt, not as large as Emperors judgement, but equally as destructive, zigzagged towards the wolf, which, took the attack head on, it not even making an effort to dodge. I mean, I know you have magic resistance and everything, but atleast dodge the attack! *** [You think?] *** I saw most of its red hair was burned off, but the wolf was still alive. Though faint, I could make out the outline of a smile on its face as it began to regenerate in speed, growing in power and size, its teeth and claws becoming larger and sharper with its hair becoming more firmer. Suddenly, the remaining wolves including the purple one also increased in size and power, showing that this was a kind of pack thing. *** [Bradley, what the hell?!] [Whoops?!] *** The red wolf pounced at me with new strength and I could barely dodged the attack this time. I knew that if I didn't put this to an end, it will just grow in strength and power, to a point that I can't defeat it. So, without wasting any time, I used flashpoint to slow down time, then, caught in surprise, thrashed the spear deep inside the red wolf's throat when it tried to bite me, and released all the lightning left in the spear. There was a resonating bang and white flashes as the wolf tried in vain to escape the million volts burning into it, but I held on till my spear lost all the lightning and reverted back to a watch. After a few seconds, it was over. The wolf's body went limp as it fell down to the ground. Kira and Emily were already done with their task of defeating the purple wolf, Blade and Bareth almost done too. "All in the days work," I stated as I flexed my muscles once everyone came up to where I was, everyone now fully finsished. "All on your own? I guess the lightning abitlity is really powerful to defeat such a foe. That's really impressive , Mandrax," Emily congradulated me. I raised my eyebrow in question before I said, "Flattering me won't get you into my good book," "I was just complementing the ability where due!" "Hmm...fine. Whaterver," I said. They all started walking back to their kill, probably to harvest the beast essense, leaving me with the leader of the pack to deal with. "Alright big guy. Let's see what you've got–" *** [What, Bradley? Are you also going to congratulate me for my awesomeness?] [Well... no. Now that you mention it.... Oh NO!] *** "WATCH OUT!" I screamed to the guys as they had their backs turned from the impending danger that was to come their way. "Too late for that, Furrha!" the red wolf spoke in my mind, then it immediately got up and fired that city ending blast of its towards my friends, and, just as it said, I really was aready too late! "NOOOO!"
