The simulation begins without their consent. They are put in a place full of zombies and one has to sacrifice themselves to let the others survive. This situation will make them trustworthy or not. Marie always laughs at things that shouldn't be laughed at and sacrifices herself without a second thought. She might be reckless but still has a good heart. Next is Lily, who we thought was too cowardly to sacrifice herself but instead lost consciousness and was left behind. Lastly, Mica didn't hesitate to sacrifice herself.
"Hey Twilight, are you sure this is enough to tell if they are trustworthy or not?" "Yes, looking at their identities, they don't have any criminal record from before the apocalypse happened, and from the apocalypse happened, they didn't kill nor betray anyone but were able to witness the worst of the apocalypse."
They start to regain consciousness, the capsule opens, and the three of them get out. "Ouch my head hurts," Marie said. "Where are we?" Mica asked, and Lily was too nervous to speak. "Welcome, I'm glad that the three of you manage to survive," Souta said. "Where are we?" Mica asked again. "Oh, you don't have to be cautious around me. If I would do bad things about you three, then I shouldn't have trouble myself to save you from those hordes, right? Follow me, I will tell you on the way."
They walk around the bunker. "As you can see, we are inside a bunker, underground. Water, electricity, and food are available here. This is a place you want to go if you were in a zombie apocalypse. I wouldn't tell you the details for now as I don't know if I can trust the three of you."
They went to a dining room where the food was already prepared. "For now, let's fill that empty stomach of yours. It wasn't poison or anything, so don't worry," Souta said. They all sit down, and Marie quickly eats as many as she can while Lily has no choice but to eat. Mica didn't even touch her food but instead talks to Souta.
"Okay then, Mica, tell me, how did you three meet?" "We three are saved by the military and put in the same group, but it wasn't long when the military base got destroyed by a horde of zombies. Lucky for us, we volunteered to go outside and gather materials. The platoon that was with us protected us with all their might. One day when we were inside a city, we got between the conflict of two groups of survivors. As we are part of the military, they have a duty to protect citizens, so they had to put a stop to the conflict."
"When we're waiting for the conflict to settle, gunshots were fired, and the two groups began to get greedy and wanted to take the equipment of the soldiers. As professionals with guns, they were forced to open fire at the civilians with heavy hearts. Being distracted while fighting the two groups, zombies from the city came and became a zombie horde. Everyone got killed, we couldn't do anything, so we fled and got here."
"It hasn't been long since the outbreak began, so there were already some groups of survivors that managed to survive, huh?" Souta said. "Since the government shut down, many talented people arise and gathered to survive. Humans are still human after all. They need food and water to survive. If their food was low, they had to steal from others to survive, and that's the reason for the downfall of humanity," Mica replied.
"If that is the case outside, then doesn't that mean you should get my good side at all costs?"
Mica spoke up, "We still have our humanity inside us. We won't allow you to play with our bodies as you please." The two other girls stopped eating and gave Souta a terrifying gaze.
However, instead of being scared, Souta just laughed. "Hahahaha! Good! I want companions like you to live here. With your serious thinking and the help of those two, we will manage to survive this apocalypse. I'm still naive after all, so I don't expect to gain your trust immediately. You three should live here for now and see my true colors. It would be a waste to leave such a fantastic place behind, right? Twilight, please show them around and to their rooms."
