The two escaped from each other's grasps and separated. Tsuki put his shirt back on. They could hear Kiri mumbling behind the door.
"What now? We've been caught. They're surely going to be upset!" Tsuki said, adjusting his clothes.
"I guess the time would've come eventually when someone would figure it out." Tadashi said, also adjusting himself to hide a certain area.
"Then I guess we have no choice but to tell them."
"But only them."
Tsuki still didn't exactly trust Kiri. but somehow he knew he could trust her with this. Tadashi requested they come in, as the knob slowly twisted and Kiri opened the door. She peaked in anxiously, behind her was Mei. Tsuki was even more nervous now.
"I didn't know, I didn't mean to come in without knocking-I-I didn't know you two were a thing and I-"
"About that," Tadashi started, "I guess…since you saw we should just tell the truth."
The two came in, Mei locked the door behind her. Mei Lian looked at Tsuki, her eyes wide with confusion and surprise. She was surely old enough to understand, right? She is a wall leader after all.
"Eventually someone would have found it out and I guess it happened but I trust that you two won't spill our secret. I must confess, Tsuki and I are…" Tadashi hesitated. Tsuki realized he never said the exact words of 'I love you' back to Tadashi. Tadashi glanced at Tsuki. "I'm in love with him. I love Tsukiyomi."
Tsuki was nervous as to what they were going to say next. They were silent and seemed to have a lot of questions. Mei cleared her throat. She looked disappointed, or was that just her serious face? Tsuki was scared she might hate him now.
"I never thought you would be able to find love again after so much has happened to you. I'm happy for you Mina, I really am. But you do understand and realize the many flaws of this relationship, Right?"
"Yes."
"And you realize that he will continue to grow older than you on this earth? And realize that you two are sort of that of the same sex?"
"Yes, I know."
"And you have to realize that not everyone is going to accept this, you two being lovers if that is what you want. But me, I accept it."
Tsukiyomi felt a bit relieved. Mei lian walked over to Tadashi and took his hands.
"Tadashi, You are a dear friend to all of us here and to my dear brother. Promise me you will love him right and take care of him. Promise that you won't ever let him go and you will love him with all of your heart. Protect him from the things he fears. And Mina, promise you will do the same."
Tadashi nodded and so did Tsuki. Then, Mei smiled and giggled, holding Tadashi's hands close to her heart. It seemed she had accepted them completely, and they were shocked by her response. She then left the room after giving Tsuki a hug, leaving only Kiri with them. She looked upset and fidgety, almost guilty.
"Well…I guess I should confess something as well then. Tsukiyomi, from when I first saw you, I envied you, your courage to run from me. I guess I had developed a bit of a crush. But the way I am is difficult. I don't want to be with a half-yokai, and you probably wouldn't like me anyway. But now that you're with Tadashi, my heart can move on!"
She left with that. What she said had made Tsuki feel a bit guilty for not treating her right. And even after that she still liked him. She had never shown feelings for anyone like that before so he would've never known.
The door closed once again. Tadashi had turned his back, Tsuki hid his face in the pillows. They were both embarrassed but they trusted that this information wouldn't get out. But it all made Tsukiyomi think. What would their future look like? If the other knew about them, what would they say? What would they think? Tsukiyomi layed normally, his hands beneath his head. Tadashi still sat on the edge of the bed.
"Tadashi, I apologize."
"No, it's my fault. I don't know what came over me."
"I guess I have to agree. I feel I am being too quick. Something came over me as well."
"I should also take this slower. But…I can't help myself with you. It seems I fall head over heels for you every time I get closer."
Tsukiyomi felt his heart would burst. These words filled his head, he felt love. But he couldn't help but think about their differences. Tadashi was older. Tsuki was too but his age was fifteen as a yokai. If he were a human he would be thirty. Tadashi was eighteen. He would be nineteen next year leaving Tsuki to stay 16 until the next year since he aged every two years. But he would only get younger and smarter.
"Tadashi, when is your birthday?"
"April 23. I'll be nineteen. What about you?"
"I think in July, on the twenty-eighth. I'll be sixteen. But, i';ll stay sixteen for another year so…you'll be older."
Tadashi turned around and took Tsuki's hands. "Tsuki, I'll love you just the same. It's alright that you're a bit younger. If you were a human it would only be three years. You'll catch up. We're still both kids and still have a lot of time still. To some that might not be the case, but you'll always be the one I want to love." They both smiled and hugged.
A LETTER OF ROSE~
To his Blessed soul:
"It has already been a week since the funeral and ceremony. It's been quiet in the palace. The rooms don't echo with voices as much now that all the leaders run their walls. I'll be transferring to the walls soon. Once every last living soul is inside. The darkness is quickly coming faster everyday. More savage beings began attacking villages. Near the Calemdon kingdom. I was in the study yesterday and I called out for you to get me a book from the shelf nearby. Then I remembered you were no longer there. I've realized that there have been different weather patterns in each wall. In Clorina, It's cold and there is snow, even in the hottest heat. It always rains in Helm and is dry in Hellena. Different weather and season patterns have developed. It's strange. Victor Falengore has assumed it was due to the darkness. So many things have changed. My mother has fallen ill, more wars and battles are almost everyday. We're losing warriors every minute. But I realize this is only the beginning of a new world. But I finally figured out a way to end the darkness. The Bloodmoon Rose is a sacred flower that is very rare. No one has ever seen it. Legends of an old shrine in the eye of the darkness. The blood of a chosen divine and the sacrifice of the Bloodmoon rose can end the darkness and send it back to the underworld forever. But this ritual can only happen on a blood moon eclipse. The rose can be found in the deepest, darkest parts of the blue thicket. No one goes there though. That forest goes on for miles and is dark. But I believe there are luminescent creatures there. As well as the hybrid wolf tribes. I also know the answer to why the darkness spreads. A ritual was made a long time ago. The deities of darkness, death and hell were summoned and this individual angered them by doing so. They killed the individual and swore to kill off the world. All three of the deity's powers were combined and they created something new. Something living. The darkness. It started spreading slowly. Killing everything in its path. Living souls made it stronger and bigger. Human souls kept it living longer. It turned demons and yokai savage and wild. They attacked others and ate them like cannibals. The darkness corrupted. Luminesia. Said to be the lost kingdom in the blue thicket. There, we can find the shrine. 'We'. Even after you passed, I still say we as if both of us were still together. I miss you dearly, Tsuki."
