The gray-haired woman placed her hand on the scanner. The door made a small beeping noise and slid open.
"Vittoria!" Erica jumped from her seat and ran across the room to hug her sister.
"I was worried about you," said Erica.
Vittoria's eyebrows shoot up. "Why?"
"Because you did something without consulting the Supreme Leader, I thought you'd be in big trouble."
"I'm not. I do have another mission I have to start soon, this might be the longest one so someone from my organization would be here while I'm gone."
Erica took a step back from her sister. "I'm not in trouble, Erica."
"Are you sure? 'cause this sounds very much like you are."
Vittoria places her hands on each side of her sister's face. "Trust me, Erica, this is just a very long mission with a nice reward at the end of it. The UR would soon be the paradise we dreamt it to be when our ship docked here all those years ago ... I promise."

"Is she back yet?" Hunter asked Hachimura who shook her head.
'I think I've exercised enough patience, I'm going to get Aislinn out of there.'
Hunter started for the door. "Whatever you're planning Hunter," Max started, making the sprite stop. "Make sure it can't be linked back to the Alpha Sector."
The dark-haired boy walked out without saying a single word but soon picked up on a pair of footsteps behind him. "Ai ..." He turned. "Came to stop me?" He asked.
"Of course not." The vanilla blonde walked up to the teal-green-eyed boy. "Do you know where she is?"
"Yes."
"Do you have a plan?"
"Yes."
"What's the plan?"
"Kara!" The sprite suddenly shouted. Hachimura raises an eyebrow. "Huh?"
The lime green-eyed agent of the Public Safety and Demon Control Agency emerged from the darkness. "You knew I was tailing you?" Kara asked.
"Since our arrival at Vrotland. You also helped me at the maximum security when I was fighting that elemental," Hunter said. He turned to Ai. "Hachimura, Kara, and vice versa."
"Nice to meet you Hachimura," said Kara.
"You too," the blue-eyed battle mage said, shooting the tan-skinned woman a nod.
"What's the deal."
"I need your help. Back at the maximum security, one of my friends was captured, we're trying to get her out of of captivity while making it look like the actions of a couple of non-mystics."
"You want non-mystic types of equipment like cars and guns," Kara said.
"And explosives," said Hunter. "Lots of explosives."

•Fort Evelyn, Vrotland.
The soldiers standing guard noticed an armored truck rapidly approaching the fort.
"What the --" one of the guards said. He eyed the car and followed its route to its likeliest destination. "It's going for the gate," he thought out loud. "Open fire!"
The guards began firing at the truck but their bullets did little to deter the truck.
Kara who was driving the truck filled with explosives looked on with narrowed eyes. Once she was close to the fort, Kara ported from the truck leaving the car to roll into the gate and explode, bringing down an entire section of the fort's walls.
Kara appeared in another truck, this one driven by Hachimura while Hunter was at the back. "Good job," the dark-haired boy commended the public safety and demon control agency's agent.
The sprite loses his bun and runs his hand through his to dishevel it before pulling up his bandana that covers from his nose bridge down to his neck. The teal-green-eyed boy then puts on an ankle-length robe.
Ai drives them into the post through the broken wall of the fort before stopping in the station's compound.
Hunter pushed the door of the truck open and jumped out of the truck armed with a rifle. The other mystics joined him as he began his march to the building.
It doesn't take long for the troops stationed at the building to rush out and try to stop Hunter and the two mystics.
The mystics easily cleared the UR army, shooting them with a tranq-like bullet that shocked the soldiers for a bit before knocking them out.
The mystic trio then proceed into an underground bunker.
ELSEWHERE
Camille and the General walk through a dimly lit bridge under the Vrotland sky.
"Tonight was amazing, Camille," said the General. "We should do it again sometime."
"General Elliott, I think you mis --" The nature spirit is interrupted by the sound of vibrations coming from the general's pocket.
"Hold on," he said as he searched his pocket and took out his phone, one of his subordinates was calling.
"Major?" General Elliott said as he answered the call.
"Sir! There's an attack at Fort Evelyn, and a code zero has been issued. Permission to deploy the Special Operations Squad?"
The General looks at the nymph who is standing in front of him and then shifts his gaze from the red-eyed woman.
"Denied."
"But sir --"
"I'll handle it."
General Elliott ends the call before turning to Camille who had a worried look on her face. "What happened?"
"A military post is under attack," he said. "I know this was supposed to be a date but do you mind lending me a hand?"

Hunter takes out a C4 explosive from a bag and attaches it to the door of a room inside the bunker before moving a couple of meters away.
The C4 explodes and Hunter and Hachimura enter the room while Kara stands guard outside the room.
Aislinn, who had taken refuge in one corner of the room, looked surprised as the duo walked into the room. The sprite lowered the bandana obscuring his face so that the cinnamon-red-haired girl may recognise him.
"Hunter!" She exclaimed.
"Are you okay? Were you hurt?" The dark-haired boy asked.
"I'm fine ... Hunter, I told them everything,' she cried.
"It's fine," Hunter assured, wiping the tears off her face.
Hachimura squats down next to the heterochromic-eyed girl. "Can you walk?" she asks.
Aislinn nods while the battlemage hands her a pistol. "You'll need this."
Hunter pulled up the bandana to cover his face. "Footsteps! Stay frosty," the Public Safety and Demon Control Agency agent warned them.
[Hunter, that energy ...]
The sprite walked forward and handed the bag of explosives to Kara. "Lead them out of here, I'll join you soon."
The green-haired woman nodded before taking the bag from the sprite and turning to the other two. "Come on."
Hachimura turned to the sprite. "What are you waiting for?"
"I'm behind you, don't worry," said Hunter.
Kara leads the trio away from the incoming footsteps while Hunter waits.
It doesn't take too long and the sources of the footsteps become apparent, Camille with General Elliott behind her.
Hunter fired several shots from his rifle at the black-haired woman, the tranq-like bullet bounced off the nature spirit's skin and she charged forward to strike him.
Despite being able to avoid the strike, Hunter stood still and let the red-eyed woman hit him, falling backward to the ground.
The teal-green-eyed boy picked himself back up and frowned. He took out a syringe containing a colorless liquid and injected himself with it.
The sprite had taken the drug while he and the others had raided Ferb's warehouse.
Hunter felt no different than before he took it but that was expected, the drug was for non-mystics after all.
The dark-haired boy turned the energy around him into combustion then to heat and finally to flames of fire that surrounded his hands.
The sprite burst forward with a speed that shocked the nymph, she staggers backward but couldn't avoid the dark-haired boy as he backed her to the wall.
Hunter's eyeballs turned to a flaming fire as the sprite began unloading a bunch of left and right jabs on Camille, the black-haired woman managed to block the attacks.
The red-eyed woman eventually got out of the corner and threw a couple of punches of her own at the sprite but the latter avoided them all.
A sparkle appeared in Camille's right eye and the roof came crashing down on the teal-green-eyed boy.
Camille turned to the General. "Who t --"
The General cuts her off. "Look out!" Elliott warned.
From the debris emerged the sprite who held Camille by the throat and raised his right to finish her off.
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
Hunter turned to see some reinforcement had arrived at the fort, even the General had collected a weapon from one of his men and was shooting furiously at the metropolitan school of mysticism student.
The teal-green-eyed boy released his grip around the nature spirit's throat before retreating through the same path his friends had retreated moments ago.
It was only a matter of time before the Grade A sprite caught up with Kara, Aislinn, and Hachimura. They jumped into the truck and Hachimura drove them away from the fort.

The policewoman searched the scene. Something felt off to her about the situation from earlier.
When she filed her report at the station afterward, she mentioned to the captain and commissioner of the police force - who was curiously at the precinct for the first time - that she had fired several shots at one of the attackers but he remained uninjured.
"Maybe your gun misfired?" The commissioner suggested.
"What were you doing there anyway?" The captain asked before she could reply to the commissioner.
There was a coffee shop close to the storage unit and she had stopped there to get a cup. When she exited the shop, she noticed something weird about the warehouse and decided to investigate.
"Looking for something?"
The officer turned to see a grey-haired woman who was standing with her hands behind her back.
"You! You're the union agent that interviewed Hunter Heffernan the other day," said the policewoman. "Special Agent Dallas."
"And you're the cop that arrested him, Officer Kelani Parker." Dallas looks at the ground and picks a bullet from the ground which she hands to the policewoman. "This was what you were looking for, right?"
Kelani took the bullet and examined it, the bullet had compressed into a small ball like a crumbled piece of paper. "It doesn't hold the answer you were looking for, does it?"
The indigo-eyed woman shifts her gaze to the gray-haired woman. "This is proof that I fired at him."
"I can provide you with all the answers you seek but are you ready to learn the truth, officer?"
Kelani rose to her feet. "I assume that would be above my pay grade."
"And you'll be right. Only, I find you very interesting, Kelani."
"You've seen my file?" Dallas nods. "Then you know about the complaints against me."
"I do. What the UR needs right now is brutality and a bit of excessive force. I know you're someone who can deliver."
"You have my attention." Dallas nods. "You should know, we're about to go up against a planet of supermen."
"Bring it on."
Dallas smiled. "I knew I liked you, Kelani."
"What truth do you have for me, Dallas?" The indigo-eyed woman queried.
"About that, Dallas was my bio mom. I'm Vittoria Betton, director of the Intelligence Core."
"I've never had of a union organization called the Intelligence Core."
"Then we're doing a good job wouldn't you say?" Vittoria clicked on a button on her wristwatch and square shaped portal opened up in front of them.
"Woah ..."
"Welcome to a secret world of mysticism and counter-mysticism."
