To the crybaby childhood friend of mine.
By the time you've finished reading this, I would have long left our village to climb the Lumen mountains in pursuit of a cure for your illness.
In the entirety of our youth we had shared in the village, I've been in love with you since the fateful encounter we had in the field of flowers by the village.
I wasn't brave enough to do this while you were awake and knowing you, you would've probably stopped me anyways.
I've been charmed by your rashness and the way you carry yourself confidently every day. Always looking for adventure and excitement to liven up the dull life we led. The big toothy smile you gave me when I fell face flat into the ground while chasing you, has and will constantly be on my mind.
Ophelia, I love you. I've been in love with you ever since we were kids and it pains my heart to part with you.
I've secretly dreamt of embracing you almost every night for a while now. And to be honest… I know how creepy it is but I'm a virgin who has never touched a woman… apart from the little physical contact I have with you. So honestly, can you blame me?
Take care of yourself. I've connected my space ring to the storage box I've left on the table. So, you should be able to receive it once I've reached the guardian dragon's lair to steal one of the fruits from the dammed tree of oblivion he's guarding.
If I make it out, I'm going to propose to you the minute I get back. If I don't? Then live your life to the fullest. Don't waste your life waiting for me.
Hold onto the reins of your fate and decide things for yourself. Don't bind yourself to a dead man and find something to live for.
By the way, don't chase after me immediately. I will be really sad if you followed me in.
See you soon, send my regards to Master and tell him I'm thankful for all he has done for me.
Love,
August
Tears fell from Ophelia's face as she held the handwritten letter August left. Her makeup was ruined and tears still fell from her face relentlessly as she broke down and cried. She cried and cried, and cried for him.
Eyeing a metallic box placed on August's desk, she saw the words 'For Ophelia' written on it. Opening it, she found a pendant with a sapphire that matches the blue of August's eyes, and a fruit that seemed to be glowing.
"Idiot… come back… I'm sorry… so come back to me, asshole!" Ophelia cried out as she held the gifts he had left her.
