August was a regular villager until his childhood friend Ophelia, contracted a chronic disease 

He desperately searched for a way to find a cure for her but when he eventually found something that could potentially cure her, it coincidently happened to be in the lair of a dragon deity. 

His skills in the sword weren’t nearly enough to face a dragon but he ended up succeeding in sending the cure home by tricking it

The dragon did kill him afterwards which wasn’t so bad. But he ended up waking up in a unknown place with a girl with horns, wings and a tail next to him
