"Evelyn!" A cheerful voice vibrated through the atmosphere of a garden and the said girl glared at the person, pulling her now burnt tongue caused by the tea which she was supposed to drink peacefully until the voice startled her.
"Evan? What are you doing here? Weren't you supposed to be abroad for your studies?"
"I am upset with you, Arnold brought some omega home, calling him his fated mate and you didn't tell me? I had to hear it from Aster."
This was the reason I didn't want you to find out. Evelyn thought he had always been obsessed with Arnold ever since they first met, claiming to be his fated mate and now since he came here himself in person, she had no idea what ruckus he would cause.
She sighed and placed the teacup on the white round table. "Well since you are here now. Why don't you join me for tea?" She tried to change the topic.
"Not now, I have something to do before."
"And that is?"
"You are asking me that? Arnold brought a fucking omega home and introduced him as his mate but you didn't even say anything? What if Arnold is getting tricked? You know I am his fated mate, right? We are meant to be."
Evelyn mentally rolled her eyes, she didn't want to deal with an unstable moody adult, who was still disillusioned.
"Look, I don't know where you got the idea from and I don't know who you are to interfere in Arnold's life. But he has been through enough and Kyoko is his fated mate, not you. So stop your childish fantasy."
Evan gasped at how bluntly Evelyn put the words, no filter whatsoever.
"So his name is Kyoko and I presume you are on his side, after meeting him only once? How can I trust him after he has done something to brainwash you?"
He rested his chin on his index finger and gave it some thought.
"You serio-
"Oh, I have an idea!" His facial expression brightens and his eyes shine with a devilish glint in them.
"Just so you know, I am not going along with any stupid ideas of yours." Evelyn made sure Evan knew that she would not be doing anything that would cause more problems for Arnold or Kyoko.
"Oh, you don't have to worry. I will just ask Arnold to introduce me to his so-called fated mate." Evan smirked at her.

"Chicken mo: mo for table number 5 is ready. Please bring your ticket to the counter." Kyoko announced through the mike, he still hadn't gotten used to the restaurant they had opened but he was excited more than nervous.
After the customer got to the counter, he passed the meal and the soda drink to him before wishing him a good day.
"Here you go, hope you enjoy your meal, have a nice day."
"Thank you." The customer smiled back.
"Ahem ahem, you got a phone call."
Seto said, pulling Kyoko out of his customer service mode. And when he gazed upon the clock, he knew whose it was without even asking.
"Tell him, will be there soon," Kyoko replied and went inside the kitchen to whip something for Arnold. Arnold's office was only 5 minutes away from Kyoko's, he moved into one of his company branch offices when Kyoko decided to move into his current home.
After being done preparing the meal, Kyoko hurriedly changed out of his work uniform and headed towards Arnold's office.
"You forgot your phone!"
Seto called out but Kyoko was already out of sight.
Well, it might be fine. He sighed and shook his head.
Like usual Kyoko got to the gate of the building and tried to reach for his pocket, they would always meet at the gate and go to a nearby park to have lunch. For some reason, Arnold wanted to keep Kyoko a secret from everyone.
"Tch, I forgot it."
Contemplating whether he should go back or just go to Arnold's office, he decided the latter.
Well, what could go wrong?
It was after he entered the building, he started to feel anxious, the cold air from the air condition hit his cheeks as he shivered a little from the contact.
Without looking left nor right, he climbed the stairs. He wanted to take the elevator but who knew they might kick him out after knowing he wasn't an employee there.
He knew the floor and what it looked like, from what Arnold had said and shown to him, after pestering him a lot. After reaching the fifth floor and turning right, and spotting a chocolate coloured wooden door with CEO engraved in it, he stopped in front and was about to knock before a high pitched feminine voice stopped him from doing so.
"Excuse me, do you have an appointment?"
