I rolled over in my bed "wow" was all I could say. I still couldn't wrap my head around the fact that Danni's fiancé is my new boss. That not only is that the case, but I also had a taste of Danni's ex and I want to fuck the soul out of her soon to be wife. I shook my head as I looked in the mirror "I got to be dreaming for real" I washed my face and turned on the shower. My mind wondered back to last night once again when I heard my phone, I walked back to the bedroom to get it. I picked it up "Hello" it was Alia "Heeeey… what you up to today?" I looked at my watch "bout to go workout then come back and get ready hanging with an old friend tonight" I sat back on the bed "old friend? I thought you didn't know anybody out here?" I looked at my phone and laughed "ha neither did I. I'll hit you later" I hung up she was def wildn, but I didn't have time for it and wasn't making time for it either. I hurried into my shower to get my day started. I readied my gym bag and saw my phone ringing. Alia's name came across the screen. I shook my head cracking up to myself "shawty wild" I grabbed my keys headed straight for the gym. I cracked the music as I hit the road just going through memories in my mind about Danni.
"Baby what are you doing today got anything planned" Danni yelled from the shower, I sat up on the bed an rubbed my eyes "I don't think anything baby, hey can I hop in?" I sprang up and snatched off my sports bra and boxers. Before she could even answer I was in the shower kissing down her neck to her shoulder. "Hahaaa well yes, I guess babe… Mmmm mm. You know I gotta go to my internship. Stop it" my hands lathered up her body "I know baby I'm just helping you clean up" I giggled as I continued "mmhmm" she turned to face me and kissed me "okay babe seriously no funny stuff" she rinsed off an stepped out "damn you were serious baby?!?" We burst out laughing "E you know I have to go... but you also know Daddy got you tonight too" I poked my head out the shower "oh daddy got me huh? Yea okay we will see zaddy" we cracked up again as I finished up in the shower.
I put my car in park snapping back into reality. I looked at my phone to see 3 missed calls, one from Alia, one from Amanda and one from Danni. I listened to the message from Amanda first "YOOO E I'm so proud of you I just saw your name as photographer in Essence magazine!!! Biiiiiissshhh! Call me back girl!!" I chuckled and listened to Danni's next "Hey E, I'll be finished at work by 3:30 if you are down, I'll text you the address and leave instructions with the receptionist. I'll see you soon" I smiled and shook my head knowing damn well I will absolutely be there. It was 12:15pm, I'll be done here by 2 so I can head straight to get ready. I couldn't even concentrate on my workout. I was so excited to see what she had up her sleeve. I put my headphones in and hopped out the car ready to workout.
I stepped out the gym feeling myself, ready to get home and shower. I put my headphones back in the case, started the car and checked my phone before pulling them off. Alia called again and left another message, I decided to listen to both... "look I wasn't tryna do a lot I just really wanted to see you an hopefully eventually down the line finish what we started… anyway hit me back once you get this" I deleted it and listened for the next "I guess you're still working out… well I… I guess I'll just wait for your call" I deleted it and listened for the next message "hey baby it's ya mama call me. Manda just showed me your work in Essence" I saved the message then headed home.
Pulling up to my driveway I felt my phone vibrate. A text from Danni "come to the Hilton Grand room 1010. If you're just coming from the gym, go straight to the suite, clothes and everything else you need is there. Get ready there… okay get ready there Please lol. See you at 6" I locked my phone and went inside to clothes just in case I didn't vibe her choice. I put the hotel into the gps to see how far it was from me "20 minutes bet" I grabbed my cologne and hit the road.
The hotel was banging! I mean just magnificent and the suite...? Well hot damn she sure knew how to impress. I walked around the penthouse making my way to the bathroom cause I knew it was just what I needed, especially after that workout. Just as I suspected the jacuzzi whirlpool tub with an immaculate walk-in shower "Oooo I'm definitely hopping in this shower" I turned on the water and the lights flashed different colors as Changed My Mind by Sevyn Streeter played on the speakers I now noticed on the ceiling. I smiled and enjoyed my shower.
I heard a knock at the door as I finished drying off, so I headed for it. "Delivery for a Ms Richardson?" I widen the door to allow him in with his cart full of bags and a box. I helped unload the cart and the bellhop handed me a envelope "Open me" I locked the door behind him then sat back on the bed to open the envelope "wear whatever you like an meet me downstairs at the bar at 6:30 sharp" I chuckled then looked through the bags an opened the box. "Damn D!" Everything looked perfect to me. It definitely put a smile on my face to know she still knows me.
I put everything back neatly and put on my own things, my watch read 6:15 so I began to make my way downstairs to meet up with D. As I got on the elevator my phone rang "hello?" JJ sweet southern accent greeted me well "hey there darlin... any chance I can convince you to come have dinner at my place let's say Wednesday." I smiled.
"Of course, sexy. What time should I be there?" I stepped off the elevator "around 7 if you can swing it" I noticed Danni by the bar getting ready to order. "Sounds perfect beautiful. I gotta go okay. See you soon" I tapped D on the shoulder "this how you look going to work every day... shit! How do they concentrate…" I smirked and winked at her as she turned to greet me. "Mmm what is that you're wearing? You wear it very well" I could hear her breathe me in as we embraced. "You hungry?" I nodded; we made our way to a booth in the far corner that was dimly lit. As we got comfortable, I took a few sips of Danni's drink and she chuckled "damn now you know I got yours coming to the table right?" I looked at her "well you know yours was right here, right?" She grabbed her glass and tried to snatch it from me. "Whoa... tranquilé tranquilé mamita" we burst out laughing "so what is all this D? What are you-" she interrupted me "I promise we will talk upstairs... let's enjoy the food and drinks. We are also celebrating your Essence magazine publishing! Your photos were phenomenal by the way" I smiled and thanked the waiter for my drink. "Thank you, your fiancé really picked the perfect project to fit my eye" I slide my cup over for the waiter to put down my Cajun Pasta and dug in. I offered Danni a taste "would you like a taste..." I gathered some on my fork and gazed into her eyes as I gestured towards her mouth. She grinned an open wide taking all of it in her mouth then winked at me. "Mmm that's actually delicious… Waiter... Hi yes could you box hers, add another to the bill and send both up to suite 1010 please?" I laughed under my breath and shook my head at D. "You ready to go upstairs already" I laughed as I slide out of the booth reaching out my hand to her.
"Yes I am actually... Lead the way beautiful" she took my hand, and we headed back up to the suite. Once we got inside the elevator, we couldn't keep our hands off each other. I backed up slightly "You promised me we would talk. We have to talk okay" she nodded unbuttoning her suit jacket. She grabbed my face, and we continued kissing as I wrapped my arms around her waist. The elevator doors opened and when I went to pull away she leaned in more pressing me to the wall... she whispered in my ear "did I say move" we locked eyes an smiled as she went to kiss me again "that's cool an all, but the lady is staring right at us" she trailed her hand up from my waistline to my neck.
"If she wants a show… then let's give her a show" she tilted my head to the side, sucking on my neck while her thumb traced my lips. I was stuck, the lady's eyes never left mine, but my body was so into it that I couldn't help but give into Danni. "Shiii…t" I moaned as her tongue sent chills through my body. Finally the lady got off the elevator and as soon as the doors closed I was all over Danni "that was messed up hahaaa... now you know you she gon be scared for life thinking bout this" we laughed "yea well now she can go to bed tonight with two of the sexiest women she's ever seen on her mind" I burst out laughing then kissed her. The doors finally opened to the penthouse level, and we made our way down the hall to our suite. "You would never do anything like that back in the day D. Not gonna lie the shit had me so turned on yet so thrown cause I wasn't expecting that from you" she looked up at me after opening the door "I'm not 22 anymore Eva. And quite frankly I don't care what other people think or say. I know who I am and that's all I need to know" she gestured for me to go in as she held the door grinning from ear to ear. I smiled back, taken aback by her answer but very proud to witness this change. "Sit and talk with me" I patted the couch next to me. She walked over grabbing water for both of us. "So, what is all this really Danni? Like why? You haven't seen or talked to me in years and then we pop up on each other out of nowhere and you're about to get married? Last time we even got the chance to say anything to one another you told me you'd never be interested in showing me off to anyone important especially your friends… so what is this really?" Danni looked at me as if I slapped her across the face. She gulped down some water then readied her response "well... first off, I wasn't expecting any of this as you stated but from the moment I saw you... every single feeling I had came rushing back in. I tried to shake it off but even when I first just saw your request on Twitter, I couldn't get you off my mind… believe me I really tried but seeing you really sealed it for me" she reached for my hand "as far as last night goes... I couldn't shake you, so I had to know why. I needed to understand what this cosmic timing was cause like I said I literally just ended shit with Lia and then bam there you were. I needed to know if there was anything still there for us" she relaxed back on the couch looking up at the ceiling. I reclined back as well "well… what have you found out" she took a hard swallow an sighed "a whole lot and nothing at all... if that makes any sense" I grabbed her an rested my head on her shoulder "unfortunately… it does" I stared off for a second because I did get the feeling... All too well.
