On a sunny afternoon, while Jun and Kucas were walking along the shore, Lucas suddenly bumped into a guy and dropped his ice cream on the floor. Now his ice cream was covered in sand; "Aww, my ice cream." he whined, "I'm so sorry!" the guy apologized, Lucas looked up at him and shook his head. "It's fine," he sighed, "no it's not, let me buy you a new one." he offered, "no, let's go Jun," he said as he walked away. Jun smiled at the guy and ran after Lucas.
"What was all that for?" he asked, Lucas looked at him confused. "What do you mean?" he asked, "Didn't you see the way Mr. Man was looking at you, why didn't accept his offer?" Lucas sighed and shook his head. "I don't care Jun, let's get me a new ice cream," he said.
As Jun and Lucas approached the ice cream stand, they saw the same guy they bumped into. Jun nudged Lucas playfully. "It's faith," Jun whispered to Lucas Lucas shrugged him off as he rolled his eyes. After the guy finished ordering his ice cream, Lucas walked up and ordered his. "Can I please get cookies and cream ice cream cone," he said, "Oh, it's you. Let me pay for you as an Apology for the last ice cream." he offered, "no thank you, sir." he declined the offer. He paid the ice cream man grabbed his ice cream and walked away.
The guy stood there with a smile on his face as he watched Lucas and Jun walk away.
As Lucas and Jun continued their stroll along the shore, Jun couldn't resist teasing Lucas about the persistent guy. "You know, he seems genuinely sorry. Why not give him a chance?" Jun suggested with a mischievous grin.
Lucas chuckled, shaking his head. "I appreciate the gesture, but I'm not looking for apologies or free ice cream. Let's just enjoy the beach." They found a cozy spot to sit and enjoy their treats, the rhythmic sound of waves providing a soothing backdrop.
Later that same night at their Villa Lucas was in the shower while Jun was busy on the phone with the park boy. "No, I miss you more." he smiled as he kicked his legs up and down. "When are you coming back?" Park Boy asked, "Whenever we feel like it, we could stay here for the whole summer." Jun told him, "You must like it like there since you can see a lot of shirtless men." he said, Jun laughed, "There is, and I'm considering looking for someone to keep me company." "You wouldn't!" he said, "why wouldn't I, it's not like we're dating. You never asked me out." Jun told him. Park boy sighed, "So even after everything we do to each other you don't consider me as your boyfriend?" he asked, "Nope, you have to ask me out. Even though the sex is good, you gotta ask me to be your boyfriend."
Park boy shook his head. "Okay then, I have something for you," he told him.
After hanging up the phone, Jun curiously waited for Lucas to finish his shower. When Lucas emerged, a towel draped over his shoulders, Jun couldn't contain his excitement. "Guess what? Erick has a surprise for me," he announced.
Lucas raised an eyebrow. "A surprise? What is it?" Jun shrugged his shoulders, "guess we have to wait until we go back home." Lucas nodded as he sat on the bed wiping his hair. Jun sneaked behind him and whispered in his ears, "So what's the deal?" he asked, Lucas slightly jumped as he turned to look at him confused. "What do you mean?" Lucas asked, "I mean the guy from today, the one that dropped your ice cream." he replied. Lucas rolled his eyes as he turned back to drying his hair.
"I don't have to fool around with some guy I met at the beach Jun, I'm still hanging on to the thought of Liam," he told him, "You can't be thinking of giving him a second chance are you?" he asked, Lucas froze in silence. "You must be crazy Lucas, how can you think that after everything he has done to you!" he exclaimed. "I wasn't thinking it, there are you happy."
Jun sighed, realizing the complexity of Lucas's emotions. "Look, I get it's tough, but Liam hurt you. Don't let a momentary encounter cloud your judgment," Jun advised, sitting down beside Lucas.
Lucas nodded, still deep in thought. "I know, Jun. It's just hard to completely let go. But I won't make any hasty decisions." Jun nodded in agreement, "That's right, you're going to stand in business." "You gonna get yourself a new man, and show him that you don't give a shit about him and that bitchy girl."
Lucas chuckled, his cousin is always is always on something. That's one thing he liked about his cousin, Jun never lets anything ruin his fun. No matter what the situation he would always have a smile on his face even though the situation hurt him really bad. Sometimes he wished his cousin could express his deep emotions to him too.
As Jun continued to uplift the atmosphere with his lively spirit, Lucas couldn't help but appreciate his cousin's unwavering support. They spent the evening chatting, sharing stories, and laughing until the heaviness in Lucas's heart began to lift.
The next day, Jun convinced Lucas to join him for a beach party. The vibrant atmosphere and upbeat music seemed to work wonders on Lucas, helping him set aside the lingering thoughts of the past. As they danced and mingled with the lively crowd, Lucas found himself genuinely enjoying the moment.
As the night progressed, a group of people invited them to join a bonfire gathering. Jun nudged Lucas, encouraging him to go. Reluctantly, Lucas agreed. By the bonfire, they met new friends, and shared experiences, and Lucas began to realize that life offered more than dwelling on the past.
As Lucas got up from the group to get something to drink, the same guy that he bumped into the other day appeared next to him. "Hey," the guy said, Lucas looked at him and nodded. "Can I help you?" he asked, The guy smiled and shook his head. "I just want to know why you're so cold towards me, is it because of the ice cream incident?" the guy asked, "It's not that at all, it's just that you come off too strong. If you want my number you can just ask." Lucas told him, the guy chuckled "You think I like you?" "Do you nor?" Lucas said. the guy stayed quiet for a while and Lucas shrugged his shoulders.
"With all due respect, I'm not interested in anything. I just came here to take my mind off things so please your distance." Lucas told him as he walked away. The guy stood there with a smirk on his face with his hands crossed.
As Lucas rejoined the bonfire gathering, he couldn't shake off the encounter with the persistent guy. The atmosphere was lively, but the encounter lingered in his mind. Then he thought back to what Jun told him, maybe Jun was right. The best way to forget about the past is to focus on the present, and maybe it's best to open your heart to other people. But, Lucas knew he was not Mentally or physically ready to open up to anyone.
Embracing Jun's advice, Lucas made a conscious effort to immerse himself fully in the present, letting the lively energy of the beach party wash away the lingering shadows of the past. As the bonfire blazed and the rhythmic music echoed, Lucas found himself dancing, laughing, and engaging with new friends.
While he still carried the weight of past heartache, the night became a turning point for Lucas. He realized that, in the company of Jun and newfound friends, there was healing and the promise of brighter moments ahead. As the bonfire dwindled, Jun approached him with a mischievous glint in his eyes.
"See, I told you tonight would be epic!" Jun exclaimed, throwing an arm around Lucas.
Lucas couldn't help but smile. "Yeah, you were right. Thanks for dragging me out of my head, Jun."
