Chapter 69 - t

On a hot Saturday afternoon outside Lucas's house, his outside watching his siblings as he sat under the bench swing and texted Liam. It was a very nice day outside so everyone was very Energetic and happy, Nari and Chloé played with water balloons in the garden. Jun was on the phone with the mysterious guy he met at the park, and Lucas was in his own little world.

"Omg, Lucas guess What!" Jun said coming out of the house and shouting, "What?" Lucas looked up curious, "Erick just asked me out on a date tonight!" He rejoiced, "Really?!" Exclaimed excitedly, "Yes!" "Omg, I need you to help me pick out my outfit for tonight!" Jun said, "Wait, aren't you leaving tomorrow?" Lucas asked, "Nope, I begged my parents to let me stay here for the whole summer break!" He told him. "REALLY?!" "YES!" They squelched in excitement as they jumped up and down hand in hand.

"Gay people," Chloé said as she and Nari looked at their brother and cousin jump around. "Now you gotta help me something to wear tonight." Jun said, "Okay but after I talk with Liam, his outside waiting for me." He said, Jun smiled and nodded his head as he went back into the house. Lucas smiled as he walked out the gate and he met Liam in front of the house standing next to his car.

He ran up to him with a big smile and hugged him. "I've missed you!" He said looking up at him, "I missed you too." Liam smiled down at him, they kissed and smiled at each other. As Lucas tried to go In for another, Liam slightly pushed him away. "No secrets remember." He said, "Okay," Lucas pouted.

"Want to come inside?" He asked, Liam shook his head. "I just came to see you, I have something to do at the moment." Lucas grabbed his hands and wondered what he had going on. "Are you free tonight?" He asked, Liam shook his head again. "Can I at least call you?" "No, I will be really busy. I'll just call you tomorrow." He said, "Okay." Lucas sighed.

Later that evening, as Lucas sat on the bench swing, his mind raced with curiosity about Liam. Jun, all dressed up for his date with Erick, joined Lucas outside.

"What do you think?" He asked, "Really cute." Lucas said. "Okay then, I'll get going now. I might see you tomorrow morning." He said winking at him, Lucas chuckled and waved goodbye as he walked out of the gate.

As Jun left, Lucas went back to his deep thoughts. He knew that overthinking what Liam said was very dumb, but then again he couldn't control his feelings. He was attached to Liam, and maybe the slightest thing could have made him overthink everything. He was afraid that Liam was slowly starting to fall out of love with him.

As he was looking down at his phone Love and Davian came out. "Are you okay baby?" Love asked, Lucas looked up and nodded his head. Love sighed as she sat next to him, "We need to talk Lucas." She said. Davian nodded and sat down on the other side. "About what?" He asked, "Look, Lucas, we are your parents and we know everything. We know when your dad, is angry, tired, sick, irritated, and heartbroken." Davian said, "And we care for you sweetheart." Love added on.

"Do you have something to tell us?" Davian asked, Lucas looked at his parents hoping that they hadn't figured out his biggest secret. "Look, we saw you kissing Liam outside today." Loved blurted out.

(Later in the afternoon when Love and Davian were coming from the store, they saw Liam and Lucas Kiss. "Are you seeing what I'm seeing right now?" Love asked, Davian nodded. They were speechless seeing their son kissing a guy in front of their house.)

"Oh my god." Lucas sighed burying his face in his hands. "I'm really sorry." He cried, "You shouldn't be sorry for what you are Lucas," Davian said patting his back, "right sweetheart, you should never apologize for what you are." Love remarked

Love and Davian enveloped Lucas in a warm, comforting embrace. "We love you just the way you are, Lucas. There's nothing to be sorry for," Love reassured him.

Lucas, wiping away his tears, felt a mixture of relief and gratitude. "I was scared you'd be disappointed or angry."

Davian chuckled, "Lucas, our love for you is unconditional. We want you to be happy and true to yourself. If Liam makes you happy, that's all that matters."

Encouraged by his parents' acceptance, Lucas opened up about his worries regarding Liam's recent behavior. Love and Davian listened attentively, offering support and understanding.

Love spoke gently, "Relationships have their ups and downs, sweetheart. It's essential to communicate and trust each other. If you're concerned about Liam, talk to him openly. Trust is the foundation of any relationship."

"And if that doesn't work out, you'll always find another one." Davian said, Love punched him, "Ow!" He cried quietly, "What your dad is trying to say is that heartbreak will always be there until you decide to let it go." Love elaborated, "Also if Liam breaks your heart, tell me. I'll go knock some sense into him." She said, Lucas chuckled at the thought. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you guys any sooner." He said, "There's no problem sweetheart, we will always love you," Love said as they hugged.

Lucas felt a sense of comfort from his parents and all his burdens were lifted. There was nothing better than having support from your parents.

That same evening at a motel. Liam opened the door to his room to walk in, he found Evelyn in the room waiting for him. "So you finally know what's right for you." She said as she got up from the bed and walked over to him. "Can we not talk about him." Liam said, "Don't worry, I won't say anything. It's just you and me now," she smiled as she played with his hair.

As Liam tried to push thoughts of Lucas aside, he found himself caught in Evelyn's embrace. The motel room, dimly lit, held an air of tension and uncertainty. Liam and Evelyn held each other through the night making sweet love.

The next day Lucas was waiting by his phone to get a call from or a text from him. He couldn't just call him since he didn't want to seem desperate, but he also wanted to know how he was doing. As he waited for Liam's call, he tried to call Evelyn to tell her everything but she wasn't also answering her call.

He sighed as he lay on his bed staring at his bed phone waiting for his best friend to call him and also waiting for a call back from his Love.

"Are you just going to lock yourself up here all day?" Jun barged into his room eating some ice cream. "Don't you know how to knock!" Lucas exclaimed, "Yeah whatever, so why are you depressed and shit?"Jun asked, Lucas sighed as he tossed and turned facing the other side. "I don't know why you care so much Lucas, Liam said he was going to call you." "So wait patiently for the call," Jun told him, Lucas stayed quiet with no response.

"You know what I think," he said, "what?" "I think he could be hooking up with someone, maybe that's why his not calling or texting." He said. Lucas tossed and turned looking at Jun in disbelief. "Do you think so?" He asked, "No sweetie, I know so. And it could be with one of your friends." He told him, Lucas sighed rolling his eyes. "Stop playing around Jun, why would Lucas do that with our friends? The girls are like little sisters to him." He said.

"How about that Kalus dude?" He asked, Lucas dropped his phone and he had no words to say. The thought was in his head, it could've been possible that Liam might be hooking up with Kalus. But then again Kalus was not around at the moment, so Lucas shook it off. "That's not right, Kalus is in Germany right now." Jun shrugged his shoulders as he continued eating his ice cream.

As Lucas grappled with the unsettling thought, he decided to trust Liam and dismiss the idea of him being involved with Kalus. Despite Jun's provocative suggestions, Lucas couldn't fathom the possibility of betrayal among his close friends.

The day passed slowly, and the anticipated call from Liam never came. Lucas couldn't shake off the worry, wondering about the status of his relationship and what might be happening on the other end. His attempts to reach Evelyn also remained unanswered, deepening his sense of isolation.

Feeling a mix of frustration and concern, Lucas decided to take Jun's advice and wait patiently. However, as evening fell, anxiety gnawed at him. Jun, sensing his cousin's distress, attempted to lighten the mood.

"Let's go out, and have some fun. Dwelling on this won't change anything," Jun suggested, but Lucas hesitated, torn between wanting distraction and the need for resolution.

In the midst of their debate, Lucas's phone finally buzzed with a message. Anxious yet hopeful, he quickly grabbed it, only to find it was from Liam. The message was brief, asking to meet in person. Lucas's heart raced as he agreed to the meeting, uncertain of what awaited him.
