Chapter 64 - Pt2

After what seemed hours the doctor came back and told him that he could see Love. As he entered the room love was sleeping there her eyes fills with tears. "I'll leave you to talk." The doctor said closing the door. "I'm so sorry, the baby is gone!" She bursted out crying. "That's not the problem right now." He said as he walked up to her and hugged her. "The only thing that matters right now is that you're safe and sound." He told her.

He held her tightly, letting her tears flow as he whispered comforting words into her ear. In that quiet moment, their connection deepened, and the weight of their loss seemed to lessen. Love looked up at him, her eyes filled with gratitude for his unwavering support.

"But you were so happy about the baby." She sniffed, "The baby doesn't matter right now. Like I said you are more important to me than the unborn baby. If I had lost you, I wouldn't know what to do with my life."

Love's eyes shimmered with emotion as she gazed into his eyes, deeply moved by his words. She held his hand tightly, feeling a profound sense of gratitude for the man who stood before her, offering solace and reassurance in her time of pain.

The next morning the kids were worried that their mom and ad were at my home and they started panicking.

"What do you mean He just stormed out!" Lucas exclaimed, "He got a call and he suddenly stormed out." Chloé to him, "I've been trying to get a hold of him but it's not going through." He stated, "Mom is not going through either." Chloé said. "WHAT DO WE DO!" Nari cried.

The kids exchanged worried glances, their concern palpable in the air. Their parents' absence and the mysterious departure weighed heavily on their hearts. Lucas, Chloé, and Nari knew they had to act quickly to find out what had happened.

"Okay, let's not panic," Lucas said, his voice attempting to steady their nerves.

Suddenly the doorbell rang and they quickly rushed to open the door.

When they opened the door Eric was standing there. "Uncle Eric, what are you doing here?" Lucas

The kids exchanged glances, sensing something wasn't right. Eric's nervous demeanor only heightened their concerns.

"Uncle Eric?" Lucas asked again, his voice tinged with worry. "Are you guys okay?"

"Yeah, why?" Lucas asked.

"Something bad happened, didn't it?" Chloé pressed, her intuition sharp.

Eric hesitated, clearly grappling with how to respond. "No, why would you say that?"

"Did something bad happen to Mom?" Nari's voice trembled.

"No!" Eric replied, his unease becoming more apparent.

The tension in the room grew, and the kids exchanged worried looks once again. Eric's attempt to hide something only fueled their anxiety.

"Eric, we know something's not right," Lucas said firmly. "If there's something you're not telling us about Mom and Dad, we need to know."

Eric sighed, realizing he couldn't keep the truth from them any longer. "Okay, fine. Your mom was involved in an accident last night. She is at the hospital with your dad right now ."

The kids gasped, their hearts pounding with shock. The news hit them like a tidal wave, and for a moment, they were paralyzed by fear.

"Is She okay?" Chloé's voice trembled.

Eric's expression softened as he looked at the worried faces of Lucas, Chloé, and Nari. He could see the concern and fear in their eyes, and he knew he had to be honest with them.

"She's stable now," Eric said gently, his voice carrying reassurance. "Your mom has some injuries, but the doctors are taking care of her. She's awake and conscious."

Relief washed over the kids mingled with a lingering sense of worry. Nari's eyes welled up with tears, and Chloé hugged her tightly, offering comfort.

"We need to go see her," Lucas said, his determination evident. "We need to be there for her and Dad."

"Aren't you going to visit her in the hospital?" Josh asked, "If I went I wouldn't see her anyways." Elizabeth told him, "And why is that?" "Seriously Josh, after being friends with her for years you still don't know how she is." "Look as much I would love to be there for her she won't let me. She lost her baby and when things go bad she'll isolate herself, and the only person that gets to see her is Davian." She stated. "But at least you can try and go see her, she might need you at this moment Li." He remarked, "Okay, I'll go if that's what makes you happy." She agreed.

Elizabeth decided to get ready and head to the hospital with Josh.

When they got to the hospital they found Davian outside her room on call. "I'll call you later." Davian said as he spotted them, "Hey guys." He greeted them. "I'm sorry for your loss." Elizabeth said hugging him, "Thank you, the important thing is that she is safe and sound." He replied, Elizabeth smiled and nodded her head. "She's inside," he told him, "Thank you."

When she entered the room she found Love laying in bed facing the window. The sun was lighting up the room releasing a sense of comfort.

"I brought your favorite." She said softly, Love turned around to see her and a gentle smile appeared on her face.

"I didn't expect you to come," Love admitted, her voice barely more than a whisper.

Elizabeth approached the bed, her heart aching for the pain Love had endured. "I know I should have been here earlier. I'm sorry."

Love managed a faint smile, a mixture of gratitude and exhaustion etched across her features. "Thank you for coming now."

Sitting in the chair beside the bed, Elizabeth took Love's hand gently. "I can't even imagine what you're going through right now."

Love sighed, her gaze distant for a moment before refocusing on Elizabeth. "It's been incredibly hard. The loss, the pain... it's like a weight I can't shake off."

"I wish I could take some of that pain away," Elizabeth said, her voice laced with sincerity.

"I know you do," Love replied, her eyes welling up with tears. "And I appreciate your willingness to be here."

As they sat together in the quiet of the hospital room, Elizabeth found herself listening as Love shared the rollercoaster of emotions she had been experiencing. There were moments of anger, sadness, and even guilt for not being able to protect her unborn child. Elizabeth offered a shoulder to lean on, a listening ear for Love's grief-stricken heart.

————————————

It's been two weeks since the accident happened and Love is still trying to get over the fact that her baby was gone. She couldn't handle the pain so she isolated herself, sadness and guilt washes over her. She didn't know what to do, or how to act, now her world was turning pitch black.

She stood in her room staring at herself in the mirror looking at her flat belly. She wondered how it would've felt like if she had the small developing belly before all of this had happened.

"I told you already to stop doing this," Davian said as he came behind her and hugged her. "What if the baby didn't die?" She asked looking at him through the mirror. Davian turned her around facing him and stroked her hair. "I told you already it's not your fault, the baby is gone and that's okay. Because another will come at the right time." He assured her, "But.." Davin cut her off, "There are no butts, you need to let it go sweetheart. You have three beautiful kids here with you and I'm sure another one will come along sometime soon." "So please forget all the pain that you have had for these past few weeks. Because remember, god gives and he takes. So I'm sure he took the baby for a reason." He stated. He stroked her cheek and kissed her.

Love felt a small glimmer of hope in Davian's words, even though the pain was still raw and the emptiness seemed almost insurmountable. She leaned into his embrace, drawing strength from his presence.

"You're right," she whispered, her voice shaky but determined. "I need to find a way to move forward. For our kids, for us."

Davian smiled softly, his eyes reflecting his admiration for Love's resilience. "That's the spirit. We'll get through this together."
