Chapter 39 - Twelfth Meal - Peaches of Immortality (1)

"Monkey, did you cause trouble in town again?"

"Ke, ke, monk, what are you talking about? I was here reading scriptures all day?"

With a sigh, the monk put his face in his hand and couldn't help shaking his head.

This monkey really would be the death of him one day…

With a wave of the monk's hand, the monkey suddenly grabbed its head with a pained look on its face before it quickly said, "Alright, alright, I went to the town a bit! It was just too boring and I didn't hurt anyone!"

The monk gave another sigh before stopping the band from tightening around the monkey's head and letting it return to normal.

The monkey didn't reveal an angry look and leaned in closer to the monk before saying, "If you wanted my attention, you could have gotten it another way, you know?"

As she said this, she pressed the proud peaks on her chest against the monk's chest.

The monk didn't even blush at this and just gave a sigh before raising his hand, as if he was about to punish the monkey again.

The monkey quickly backed off when she saw this, but she still had a smile on her face.

The monk shook his head when he saw this.

If it wasn't for the fact that the monkey hadn't caused any real problems, the monk wouldn't have let her off that easily. In fact, the monkey had actually saved someone in town.

It was just too bad that the monkey had broken the monk's orders to stay here and study to go running around in the town.

So the monk had no choice but to teach the monkey a lesson.

After this, the monk took out some scriptures from the shelf on the side and said, "Let's begin our lesson today. We'll be reciting scriptures while meditating."

When the monkey heard this, her face turned completely sour like she would rather do anything else in the world. So even when the monk went over to sit down cross legged, the monkey didn't sit down with him.

The monk gave another sigh before looking up and saying, "What are you doing? Come and sit down."

The monkey revealed a smile as she held her arms in front of her chest, making it stand up even more as she said, "How about we go lie down instead and have some fun?"

The monk looked at her with a straight face and was about to raise his hand when there was a sudden flash of light that appeared.

Both the monk and the monkey were surprised when they heard this.

The monkey didn't hesitate at all as she pulled out a red stick and stood in front of the monk to protect him.

However, there was nothing for her to protect him from.

That was because other than that flash of light, nothing else happened.

Both of them just stood there in a daze as they tried to figure out what happened, but they couldn't see anything. That was until they noticed the door that was standing in front of them.

This was a door that they were unfamiliar with, but they could tell that it was a door.

The strange thing about this door was that it was just standing there in the middle of the temple without being supported by anything. It was almost as if it was just floating there in space.

The only thing that was special about the door was the dog's paw that was on it.

The monkey wanted to slowly move forward, but before she could, the monk grabbed her by the arm and pulled her back before shaking his head. Then he picked up his mala beads and started chanting something.

As he chanted, there was a golden glow that appeared around the mala beads that grew stronger and stronger until they were almost too dazzling to look at. Once the glow had become this dazzling, the monk suddenly waved his hand and shot out the golden light at the door.

The golden light reached the door and created a golden barrier around it, isolating the door from the surrounding area.

The monk let out a sigh of relief when he saw this and he was about to leave to get someone else, but before he could…the golden barrier suddenly started flickering.

The monk knitted his brows when he saw this and he was about to start praying again, but before he could, the golden barrier suddenly shattered to pieces.

A shocked look appeared on the face of the monk when he saw this since he couldn't believe that his Golden Bell Barrier was shattered this easily.

This Golden Bell Barrier was one of his strongest techniques and even the monkey had a hard time breaking through it. So he couldn't imagine just what kind of power was required to break it that easily.

It was clear that this door wasn't a normal thing.

"Are you done?" The monkey suddenly asked.

The monk looked at the monkey with a confused look before suddenly realizing why the monkey asked this. However, before he could reach out to stop the monkey, she was already moving towards the door.

The monk had no choice but to raise his mala beads in preparation as he followed the monkey over to the door.

When the monkey reached the door, she poked at the door a few times with her red staff. She used only a bit of strength at first, but the more that she poked the door, the more strength she used.

At the end, she was even deliberately using a lot of strength as if seeing if she could push down the door.

But no matter how she pushed at it, this door that floated there in the air wouldn't fall down.

So the monkey lost interest in trying to push it down and instead started moving around it, like she was trying to figure out what it was.

Since the monk had also come over with the monkey and seeing that the door wasn't trying to harm them, the monk also started moving around with the monkey and trying to see what this door was about.

No matter how they looked at the door or from what angle, they weren't able to find a single thing about this door.

It was just like a normal door, even if it was a design that they had never seen before.

The monk was lost in thought when the monkey suddenly reached out towards the door, but this time, the monk was able to react in time to stop the monkey from grabbing the handle.

The monkey looked at the monk and said, "It's not like waiting here will do us any good. It's clear that the other side is inviting us in."

The monk knitted his brows when he heard this, but he knew that she was right.

This door had suddenly appeared inside of their temple, so it was clear that it must have appeared for some purpose.

But he really didn't feel good about opening the door. It was almost as if he could feel some great danger hiding behind the door that made him unsettled.

The monkey took advantage of the split second that he was distracted to suddenly grab the door handle before turning it, opening the door.

The door suddenly started to open and there was a bright light that came from the other side that forced the two of them to close their eyes. However, the two of them quickly adjusted to this bright light and they were able to open their eyes again.

When they saw the scene behind the door, they couldn't help being shocked.

Both of them moved their heads to the side to bypass the door and look behind it, but they couldn't see the scene that they were seeing through the door on the other side. It was almost as if this door led them to a completely different world.

This place seemed very different from anything that they had seen before.

They could tell from the smell that came from it and the different items in this place that it was a restaurant, but what was a restaurant doing behind this strange door that had appeared out of nowhere.

The monkey only hesitated a second before walking through the door.

The monk had been holding the monkey's hand during this, so he was brought along with the monkey and was dragged through the door.

After they went through, the door suddenly closed behind them.

The two of them just stood there looking at the different things in front of them.

In addition to the strange items that filled this place, there were also many different races of creatures that they had never seen before.

There were the normal humans, but there were creatures that looked like walking lizards and walking pigs. It was a world filled with many different things that they had never seen before.

Seeing that they were just standing there, Yami came over to welcome them into the restaurant.

However, when Yami came over, the monk suddenly trembled as if he sensed something.

He looked at Yami with a shocked look as if he couldn't believe what he was looking at.

Then he suddenly raised the mala beads in his hands and started praying like before, creating a golden glow around them. That golden glow quickly increased in brightness until it reached a point where almost everyone in the store couldn't help looking at them.

Yami was confused by what this monk was doing at first, but then she decided that she should stop him.

However, before she could stop him, the monk suddenly raised his hand and shot that golden glow at Yami as he shouted, "Begone foul evil creature!"
