The monkey couldn't help feeling more and more embarrassed as she heard the snickering around her.
The monkey didn't even have to think about it to know what they were laughing at and it made her blush even more.
She then turned to the monk and leaned in to poke him on the chest as she said, "Why didn't you do anything? What good are you if you're not going to step in at a time like this?"
The monk just put his hands together and calmly said, "You must learn to accept the consequences of your own actions."
The monkey revealed a dissatisfied look as she said, "Isn't it all because I was standing up for you? Why else would I have suffered like that?" After saying this, she couldn't help turning her head and pouting her cheeks.
The monk gave a sigh when he saw this.
He knew that she was right and she had good intentions even if her methods were wrong, but there was nothing that he could do in this situation.
So he just stood there without saying a thing.
