After escaping finally from the soldiers, we realized we has lost Margret. Jessie was never in support of the idea of me going back to look for our sister because it was a very huge risk but I kept insisting. He had lost all hope because he knew I was not going to survive such an army of soldiers as they kept coming in their numbers. I returned. On the floor, blood was everywhere and soldiers moved about with their guns. I quickly laid straight on the floor, painted myself with blood and held my breathe when I saw one of them approaching. He looked so wicked and heartless; even from his face you could see. As I laid down I felt his presence around me so I kept my eyes firmly closed. He stepped on me, took my hand, turned it at all angles and turned me over. I could feel the sun reflect into my eye and insect bitting me but still continued to hold my breathe. For some time, I heard him walked away. I got up quickly and began to ran but unfortunately, he had not gone.
"Stop before I fire my shot!"
He shouted and I shivered. In no time he was standing right behind me. He teased me with the gun and threatened me to follow him. He punched me and dragged me into a house. A man and his wife was coming from upstairs to lock their door but..*pow*.. before they would say something, he had fired already. He threw me and banged the door hard. I dragged my buttocks on the floor backwards. All I saw was him taking off his uniform and throwing it acrossed the room. My heart kept beating the more when he was just in a short and it dangled as he came closer to me. He pounced on me and tried pulling down my skirt but I crawled to the other side of the room. Because he was mascular, I could not struggle with him enough to save myself when he carried me in his arms and dumped me on the bed.
Ouch! My back ached. He pulled down my skirt and torn it into pieces. My breasts were now exposed and he was about touching them when I swinged to the other side of the bed. He rolled me over and got on me and then later got down for protective. I took advantage of the situation, picked up my skirt, put it back on and jumped through the window. I ran further without even turning to look back to hide behind a flat. I turned and surprisingly saw him running towards my direction. I panicked because I didn't know what to do again. As he got hold of me, he wrapped his right hand around my neck while he stood behind me, I gave him a back kick, hit him with my elbow and fled. He chased me inside the forest were my daughter and my siblings were and I was so scared; but as I jumped over a fallen tree and he was about catching me, someone snatched me away.
"MmhHm! MmhHm!"
I struggled to remove the person's hand but he asked me to stay cool and calmed and I obeyed. Then I saw him Walked back into the town with total disappointment. Immediately I took off his hand, turned quickly and was about to talk...*gosh*... this is a real man. I whispered to myself.
He had brown silky bushy hair that was curled, bulgy eyes with long thick eyebrows, and a pointed nose. I got stunned when my eyes set on his soft cute Pink lips. He kept staring at me as I shaked my hair to keep it dried even though it was still raining. Without authoring a word, I tlurned to walk away but he held me from the waist and pulled me against him. It was a nice feeling though but I tried to save myself and when I realized it won't work, I gave up.
"Let go of me please!!"
Just as I said, he let go of my hands but I was feeling too heavy to get off his sight. Whether it was shy or fear, I can't tell. I just created a quite a distance between us with a slow movement.
"There's nothing wrong with saying thank you "
He said softly; but I ignored.
"Can you do me a favor?"
I asked.
"I am all ears "
He answered softly. But how can I isolated person be so cautious and fluent with the American ascent? I wondered how; but later thought it might have been harder situations so I let go.
"Waiting please "
He reminded.
"Umm, can you help me in search of my siblings and daughter please?"
"Amazing! You have a daughter?"
Was that the only thing he heard? I guess.
"Yes I do "
I said with a straight face.
"Are you sure about this? Because this beauty is too much for having a daughter "
"You know what's needed now? Is to help me find them ".
From his expressions, It was so obvious he had doubts about what I told him. After a long way, the solution we got was negative and that made sobbed bitterly.
"Why don't you lodge here for the night and we continue early morning since it's already late?"
His suggestion was somehow a good one but I refused because …once bitten twice shy…And how could I have slept peacefully without knowing the whereabouts of my family? I decided to go look for them all by myself but he insisted he goes with me. For about a hundred metre away from his house, we could hear the roar of a lion. Quickly, I turned to hug him so tight and began to shiver. He got me behind his back and stood to his heels.
"I told you wild animals come around during the night ".
He said while he pressed my face gently with a towel soaked with warm water.
"And what if the beast or lion eats them up? Aahhh!!!"
I sobbed the harder he calmed me. Slowly my eyes became heavy until everything went black.
