"Are you sure about this?" Poppy asked Adira as they walk along the hallway to the breakfast table.
"Yes of course! Aren't you hungry?"
"No, I'm not actually" her expression grimaced at her question. She didn't feel hungry at all, waking up alone made her lose her appetite and remembering what happened to her in the last few hours that had passed by made her want to throw up her internal organs. Truly, truly, she didn't want to eat nor see any pointed ear person again.
The breeze blew through the open windows and doors making her shiver a bit, the dress wasn't helping at all, apart from it being transparent and thin, it has opens every where, her back had no coverage and the slit in the middle of her dress left her legs exposed to the wind. They walked into the corner and Poppy caught sight of the arch, she walked towards it and gazed down at the outside surroundings, the city view looked large and wide, from how far it was, she realized that they were far from it. Was there a point escaping? where she could get lost before getting to the city.
"Milady, are you thinking of escaping?"
Poppy turned to her and showed her a small smile, "No, no... let's go and eat shall we?" Adira smiles back and led the way to the dining room.
The room was vast in size and decor, whites and real gold made the room polish and shine and antique furnitures and artworks filled the room. She could help but be amazed about it, and now she realized the reason Mara fantasize about them, she gaped at the riches set before her view and couldn't help but be surprised.
"Shall I serve you now milady?" Adira asked her.
"Yes" Poppy simply replied and made herself comfortable on the chair. She didn't feel like eating though, she felt heavily nauseous as she remembered Mara, she had promised her to be back as soon as possible and now she must have made her sick with worry, she couldn't imagine how her father could be feeling at that moment, she hoped he wasn't dead yet from heart attack if not, she could kill herself and Amanda...well she didn't want to see her again, Poppy wondered if she was happy this moment?
"Milady?!" Adira called her with a worried expression.
"Yes, Adira?" Poppy answered with a slight shiver from shock.
"You daydream too much my lady, are you alright?" Adira looked more worried.
"Yes, I am fine..." and she faces the other way. Adira realizes that she was in deep thought, practically about her home and family so she didn't push further, she serves her bread, fried eggs and hot tea.
"It's ready, I made it too simple since you're not hungry, I hope you enjoy it." Adira beams her words at her. Poppy couldn't help but smile at her, she was nice, no lie about that.
"Thank you Adira, you should have some too."
"No milady, I've eaten already besides I have some work to do."
"Okay, shall we meet later?"
"Of course milady, once I'm done, I will come and stay with you."
"Okay then, later."
"Bye milady, and have a good day."
"You too Adira." and she left. While Poppy stared at the food, she heard footsteps coming into the dining room. Keeping herself in alert, she waited for how would enter and it turned out to be Gydrin.
His yellowish gold hair which was put in a ponytail glowed like the early sun and his ember eyes did the same. His wore a beautiful smile on his face when he saw Poppy and she couldn't help but smile at him as well.
"Good morning Poppy."
"Good morning Gydrin."
"And how are you doing today?"
"Well I guess I'm fine and you?"
"Same" Gydrin replied happily. He served himself some hot black coffee and sipped it slowly.
"So how are your injuries? do they still hurt?"
"No, they didn't any longer, thanks to you" she smiled.
"No need, happy to help you." He smiled back.
A small silence drawls in the room, Poppy still didn't attempt to eat the meal and eggs didn't help at all as she felt like vomiting.
"Are you alright Poppy? you haven't touched your food at all." his expression showed worry as he spoke. Poppy stares at him and uttered honestly towards him.
"Gydrin, how do you expect me to eat with peace of mind when I don't know what is my fate here is, and my sisters...my father..." her eyes welled up with tears again. Gydrin couldn't help but feel sad for her. He had been in such situations before and he totally understood how she felt, such emotions were mind stressful.
"Poppy, I understand what you're going through and it's not new. I've been there myself and it's hard, very hard but the best you can do for them is to help yourself first by any means possible. You understand?" Poppy only nods at his words of encouragement but couldn't be encouraged, she only managed to take a bite of the piece of bread and wonders to herself how her days here would go.
