Chapter 30 - Chapter 29: Boss Fight(1)

-Reyha Kingdom; Gallo's Outskirts; Goblin's Lair; 10th Floor-

"Ok, it's time for the battle to begin!" Iketica announced.

As Iketica announced the beginning of the fight, Rakuia unsheathed her weapons, two serrated swords with the teeth of the blade resembling hooks, and just like with most of the other weapons here, it was bone.

Kymani noticed this and as they charged at each other was wary of it. Before the two could clash, however, Rakuia avoid it by jumping over Kymani, and as he was turning to catch up with her, he could feel something coming as his told him to get out of the way.

"Water Dancing Warrior Technique: Brutalization Bite." She chanted as she swung both her swords, creating two tines of a blueish glow that went past, Kymani, then Rakuia just stood there looking at him.

The feeling of having to get out of there intensified as Kymani prepared to use at the first sign of real danger, as he charged at Rakuia again.

At the same time, the blue lines that had missed him before connected to one another, and immediately Kymani a sudden pressure, responding with instantly as he moved to behind Rakuia, she attacked him with her swords, something he blocked with his bone-great sword, which resulted on the great sword being hooked by her weapon.

Behind Rakuia, the area Kymani just escaped had been flattened with a crater, who someone looking from the top might have been able to discern looked like a bite had been taken of that part of the ground.

Using an unforeseen level of strength, Rakuia disarmed Kymany by pulling so hard his bone great sword was shattered. This however was far from enough to stop Kymani, who immediately got two bone daggers from his inventory and managed to slice her shoulder before Rakuia could escape, and now blood was dripping even so, she was still very battle ready.

"You're better than I expected, especially considering the blindfold." Rakuia commented.

"Not something completely new to me, so it's not that crazy." Kymani responded.

"Then allow me to help you see, just how far you can go that way." Rakuia declared as began to trade blows with Kymani who was now using his daggers to avoid his weapons getting anchored again.

Unable to see in the conventional way due to the challenge, avoiding doing so through mana for the same reason, Kymani was only using as a sensory ability to get a gist of his surroundings together with making a pretty good image of things even without seeing.

Unfortunately for him, not being able to see, stopped him from noticing that Rakuia was drawing a symbol on the ground in between blows as they fought.

"It's over for you. You fought well though." Rakuia claimed as she took a stance and began moving her arms in a form of dance with her blades.

Kymani who decided to take this chance to attack her, couldn't have been more surprised when his surroundings became wet and heavy to move in, as he found himself submerged in water. Holding his breath out of habit, Kymani was a bit frustrated he couldn't see what was going on, but looking from the outside, a giant sphere of water had engulfed him and Rakuia.

"Water Dancing Warrior technique: Deep Sea Dome!" Rakuia even submerged in water was capable of speaking normally, as she chanted.

Swimming as if she was in her natural habitat, Rakuia attacked Kymani like a torpedo slashing him as she passed.

As it all happened, Kymani had been trying to use to no success, only to try and be met with the same lack of response. Understanding that this must be somehow jamming his skills, Kymani couldn't help but be impressed with Rakuia's resourcefulness and if he was just a normal guy or even any other void slime, things would have been tough... Maybe even an impossible fight at this point, however, he still had a card on his sleeve.

"Give up, while you can, Lavenica will probably scold me if I hurt you too much." Rakuia said.

Contrary to her expectations, there was no response and so she continued to attack, only to notice that.

"Wait... Is my water dome smaller?... What is going on?" Rakuia was perplexed and it continued to shrink faster and faster until it was all gone.

'The inventory came in handy.. I didn't expect to have to use it this way, but I'll think about that later.' Bleeding with various injuries, Kymani smiled as he held his bone daggers and took the chance to attack, currently confused Rakuia.

Still distracted by this outcome, Rakuia was hit three times by Kymani before being able to ward him off, now having another stab in her shoulder and two now on her waist.

"How?! How did you do that?!" Rakuia inquired with a serious expression and wide-open eyes, as she took off her mask, showing her more humanoid blueish-green face and even gills on her neck.

"... I'm not willing to part ways with that piece of information." Kymani replied calmly.

"Hahaha!" Rakuia began laughing hysterically.

[Warning! Named monster Rakuia has entered crisis state! A significant increase in their overall power has occurred.]

'Of course, it has....' Kymani wasn't even surprised at this point, and simply rolled his eyes. Taking a deep breath, he was prepared for whatever came his way. This is the kind of thing he had come to like, as it made it more fun. Aware that he would eventually have to deal with things that go beyond having time to enjoy a good fight, Kymani was going to make the most out of the ones he can.

Fully braced he looked at Rakuia and took a stance, holding both bone daggers tightly, and smiling in the face of what would be a dangerous foe.
