Chapter 2 - Chapter -2 Cure of posion

The whole room got even louder because of the whispers from the people about what Aiden said started to echo again.

"H-How... it's impossible. You're wrong, it's impossible that the Lord was poisoned. How can you say poison was the reason?" Alphonse asked.

"Simple, I have more knowledge than you," Aiden answered directly.

"Even so, I should still know about the poison if what you say is true," he commented.

Aiden turned his gaze to Lord Osric. "You don't have to believe me if you don't but I'm telling you the truth. I am confident because I saw the black points on his face and I also know the smell of the poison. That was the sign if someone was poisoned and the Lord had it. But it was a different type of poison."

"If you're telling the truth, can you tell us what poisoned the Lord?" Felicia was the one who asked.

"There's so many poisons that we might have but all of them cause harm that may lead someone to be unconscious, get injury or impairs of organisms, and even death," he explained.

"That must be why Alphonse was unable to cure my dear husband," Lady Irish said.

Aiden smirked. "I doubt it..."

Cole plunged into anger again and tried to attack Aiden again for his action.

"I have enough of you! First, you came here and showed up uninvited, then you made trouble and insulted my Father, and now, you draw conclusions that should only be made by a doctor! Why should we believe you?! You're just a stranger who I believe does not belong here, so must leave!"

He was about to call the guards but then Aiden said something that made him stop.

"I understand everything now. If you don't want to believe me, let me prove that what I said is right," Aiden insisted, then took out a bottle from his bag. "I will save Lord Osric."

"I wouldn't let you do that!" Cole quickly rejected Aiden, which surprised the crowd because of his strange behavior.

Cole immediately added to what he said. "W-Why would I let you do something that can't be trusted?! This is my father's life we're talking about and I can't let his life be in danger to a stranger like you... It's better that you leave and let us handle our own problems."

Aiden was stunned. He looked at Cole carefully and after a few moments, he surrendered and put the bottle back in his bag.

"If you say so..." Aiden said. "Don't worry. Once I left, I won't be coming back, that's why it's impossible for Lord Osric to wake up. Just don't blame me if he dies."

He was about to leave when he was suddenly blocked by a man close to his age.

"Wait up!" It's wheezing. "Are you sure that you can cure our father?"

Aiden nodded. "I am the only one who knows how to nullify the poison in Lord Osric's body."

"Brother Cole," the youngest brother named Henry called out pleadingly, and he looked at him skeptically. "He was our only hope. Doctor Alphonse already tried everything but still he can't cure our father. There's nothing wrong if we don't try, right?"

"But Henry... you can't understand. We don't know that guy! What if instead of getting better, our father just gets worse? We don't know his true purpose. Being nice to others is what we don't need now," Cole whined.

"What if he can save Father?" Henry insisted.

"Henry," Cole called out. "Don't take your kindness for granted. Do you remember what happened before when I agreed to what you wanted?"

Henry was stunned, the bad memories of the past came back to him again.

Aiden grinned. "If you're really worried about what may happen to your father. I will take all the responsibility if he doesn't wake up, you can do everything to me, punish me or even kill me. I would accept it just to prove I have no bad intentions."

That made Henry back to his senses and face the present and persuade his family, again. "Brother... Sister Felicia? Please. I'm begging you! I couldn't handle it when Father is gone forever. Why don't we at least try?"

"Henry..." Lady Irish seemed to call her youngest son softly.

"Please. Even for me? I don't know but I trust this man," he pointed to Aiden who was next to him. "It's better that we do something than just let Father be like that. We must try, please," Henry begged.

"I think Henry has a point, Cole," Felicia insisted. "We have no other option left."

"Cole, son... I know you're just worried about what could happen and afraid of repeating Henry's wrong decision, but let's try again now, hmm?" caressing Lady Irish, this time it's four over one.

Cole hasn't done anything yet. In the end, Henry succeeded. Cole just let out a sigh then nodded to his little brother.

"Fine," he finally said. "I agree."

Henry smiled and ran to his brother to give him a big hug. "Thank you so much!" "Welcome," Cole said forcefully.

Henry happily let go and turned to Aiden. "Mister, whoever you are. I'm begging you to heal our father. I trust him in you. Do everything you can!"

Aiden smiled. "I will try..."

Aiden returned to Lord Osric's place and took out the bottle containing the medicine. Aiden gently supported the Lord's neck and lifted him to drink what he was holding then laid him down again.

"There, let's just wait," he properly put Lord Osric back in place and waited.

Everyone else did the same. They silently observed the unconscious Lord. Thirty seconds later, they were surprised when The Lord suddenly vomited black blood.

"What's happening?!" asked Lady Irish apprehensively.

"Oh my gosh! What's going on? Why does our father vomit black blood?" Felicia asked fearfully. "He was just taking the poison out," Aiden answered calmly.

"Please calm down, let's wait a little longer." Henry, who was calmly watching his father, still had his trust intact.

But due to the duration of Lord Osric's vomiting, Cole's sanity overflowed and grabbed Aiden.

"What did you do to him?!" He scolded Aiden. "Guards! Guards! I will make sure that you will never get out alive..."

All the guards quickly entered and pointed a gun at Aiden.

"Don't move!"

"Surrender yourself peacefully or else..."

The people were afraid because they knew that if Aiden didn't come with him, blood would spill into the room and he would die.

But curiosity hits them when they hear Aiden's calm voice. "Alright."
