Chapter 32 - Home

"Hello! We're home!"

Bulma exclaimed cheerfully as she stepped through the front door of Capsule Corporation, Goku following closely behind, cradling their newborn daughter in his arms.

Three weeks had passed since she had given birth to their beautiful baby girl. She had spent that time in the hospital undergoing tests and check-ups, ensuring both she and the baby were in perfect health.

She had been discharged just a few hours ago, and the first thing she did was treat Goku to a hearty breakfast. Why? Because Goku had been by her side the entire time—waking up every day next to her, never once leaving her alone.

Bulma wasn't even sure if Goku had resumed his training or had gotten any proper sleep. Every time she opened her eyes, she found him sitting by her bedside, greeting her with his usual bright smile.

When she asked him about it, Goku simply laughed and explained that he had been doing light training exercises in the same room while she rested.

Now, after finishing their meal, they had finally returned home after spending weeks away.

"Where's my precious granddaughter?!"

Bulma's mother, Panchy, came running to the entrance, excitement shining in her eyes as she stopped in front of the new parents.

"Here, Mom."

Bulma motioned for Goku to hand the baby over to her eager grandmother.

Goku carefully placed his daughter into Panchy's arms. The older woman beamed as she held the tiny bundle, gently rocking her with affection.

"Who's Grandma's beautiful little angel? It's you, sweetheart!" Panchy cooed, lifting the baby slightly as Bulma smiled at the heartwarming sight.

"Where's Dad?" Bulma asked, noticing her father was nowhere to be seen.

"He went out to buy some components for his new invention," Panchy replied, pressing a soft kiss to her granddaughter's forehead.

Bulma nodded before turning to Goku and taking his hand, leading him a few steps away. The Saiyan blinked in confusion, wondering what she was up to.

"What's wrong, Bulma?" Goku asked. Strangely, he already missed holding his daughter—he had barely gone a few minutes without her in his arms since she was born.

"I'm meeting Chi-Chi to thank her for all the help she gave us," Bulma explained as Goku nodded in understanding. "So, I'll be gone for a few hours. Can you handle giving her a bottle and changing her diapers while I'm out?"

"Of course!" Goku responded confidently, flashing a grin. "I've been training for months to do this!"

Bulma chuckled. "Alright, then. I fed her three hours ago at the hospital, so try giving her a bottle in an hour or two."

Goku nodded again, determined to follow through.

"Well, you know where the diapers are. After feeding her, put her in her crib so she can rest. That way, you can squeeze in some training time, okay?"

Bulma had made sure to buy breast pumps so she could store milk for their daughter, avoiding the need to breastfeed in public. She had also given Goku a very serious warning: under no circumstances was he to drink from their daughter's bottles. Knowing his Saiyan appetite, she wouldn't put it past him to consider it.

"Or," Goku smirked, "I could sing her one of your bedtime songs."

Bulma's eye twitched as she recalled the ridiculous lullabies she had come up with—ones that Goku had definitely laughed at before.

"Oh, you think that's funny?" she asked, placing her hands on her hips. "Let's see if it's still funny when you go a whole week without food, hahaha!"

"W-Wait! It was just a joke!" Goku stammered, quickly pressing his hands together in an apologetic gesture. "I get it! After the bottle, I'll make sure she sleeps—understood, ma'am!"

He straightened up like a soldier, standing at attention, which made Bulma laugh. He always knew how to amuse her.

"I love you," she said softly, her smile tender. Lifting herself onto her toes, she wrapped her arms around his neck. It had been days since they had shared a proper kiss.

"Thank you for being in my life," Goku responded just as sincerely, pulling her closer. He didn't know where he would be if he had never met Bulma all those years ago.

Their lips met in a deep, lingering kiss, their arms tightening around each other.

Bulma decided to be playful, lightly sliding her tongue along Goku's. The unexpected sensation sent a shiver down his spine, making her giggle when he suddenly pulled away.

"Bulma… I felt your tongue," Goku said, eyes wide with confusion. Had they just fought with their tongues?

Bulma laughed again. "That's called French kissing. It's a more intimate way of kissing."

Goku slowly nodded, processing the information. That electrifying feeling… He wouldn't deny that he really liked it. Maybe they could try it again later.

"I still have a lot to teach you," Bulma smirked, adjusting her bag and sunglasses. "But don't worry, we have our whole lives to learn together."

Goku made a mental note of that.

"If anything comes up, call me. My phone number is on the fridge," Bulma reminded him. "See you, love! I won't be long!"

"Be careful, Bulma," Goku said, nodding as he watched her walk over to her mother and daughter to say her goodbyes before heading out.

Once she was gone, Goku stretched his arms behind his head and grinned.

"Alright! First thing I gotta do now is… eat something! Hahaha!"

With a cheerful chuckle, he made his way toward the kitchen. Since his daughter was with Panchy, he figured he could sneak in some training as well. He hadn't properly trained in a while, and he needed to be ready in case any threats to Earth arose.

 ----

Later…

Bulma sat at a restaurant, stirring her drink absentmindedly as she waited for Chi-Chi. It had only been a few minutes since she arrived, but her mind was already drifting.

Her life couldn't be better. She had a loving boyfriend, wonderful parents, a healthy baby, and financial security.

A perfect boyfriend. Or at least, perfect for her. There was still so much for Goku to learn about relationships, but that made it even more fun. She wasn't in a rush.

They had kissed many times before, but today's kiss had been the most exciting one yet. If her mother and daughter hadn't been there, things might have gone further.

What am I thinking? Bulma scolded herself. It's too early for that!

But then again, their relationship had already given them a daughter…

"Hello, Bulma."

Snapping out of her thoughts, Bulma looked up to see a young woman standing before her. Chi-Chi was dressed in a blue kimono with red stripes, her hair tied in a traditional Chinese-style ponytail.

"Hey, Chi-Chi! You look great," Bulma said sincerely, admiring her outfit.

"Thanks, you too," Chi-Chi replied, forcing a small smile.

Bulma immediately noticed the hesitation. This might be harder than I thought…

 ----

Meanwhile, at Capsule Corporation…

Goku had just finished training in the backyard when he walked into the kitchen. Panchy was busy preparing a cake, while the baby rested in her stroller.

Glancing at the clock, Goku realized an hour and a half had passed since Bulma left. That meant it was time to feed his daughter.

"I'm going to give her a bottle," Goku announced as he gently lifted his daughter from her stroller. "Where's the water heater?"

"Right here," Panchy pointed. "I'll hold the baby while you prepare it."

Goku nodded, passing the baby to her grandmother.

"Alright, time to get this started!" he said, rolling up his sleeves.
