Boom!
"Don't play with me. You don't want to see me angry, and believe me when I say that you'll beg me to shoot you as soon as I start torturing you." Airon firmly held onto this man's hair and lifted him off the ground.
The man's face finally changed. He didn't know these people, but that didn't stop him from realizing that they didn't come with good intentions after killing all the men under his command.
Maybe he wasn't afraid of death or simply didn't care, but the way Airon described how he would die was too disturbing.
But that stubbornness ended after Airon exerted a little more force, while the knife in his hand got closer and closer to the man's throat.
Even knowing that this man wouldn't be easy to deal with, Airon didn't rush his steps. Instead, he pulled the man's hair back and left him in Daryl's care, then he walked towards the dead bodies and shot them in the head to prevent them from turning into walkers.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
George took out a plastic string to tie the hands of the only remaining man.
"Let's go, lead the way."
Since they dealt with the last two surviving individuals, no one else came out of the wooden house. However, they weren't sure if it was safe inside. Therefore, Victor held a gun against the man's back while Daryl took a step forward with Airon.
Upon entering the house, a kerosene lamp cast a warm orange light in the corner, but the wooden house was completely empty.
At this moment, some people took the time to carefully observe the structure of the wooden house. The interior of the wooden house is very rough, and the walls are the same as the exterior ones. It is made directly from whole logs that were now covered in moss and dampness.
Anyone who had come across it before probably thought it was some kind of hunter's cabin or a family vacation home.
The furnishings in the room are also very simple. The walls and floor are light yellow in color, and besides that, there are only basic tables and chairs in the room, plus a single bed.
There was a half-empty wine bottle on the nightstand, and a few more empty bottles scattered on the floor.
Furthermore, the most striking feature of the house should be an open door in the corner, but it's not the door of an ordinary room, but the door to a basement.
The bottom part must also be a descent into the basement. At the moment, there was a ray of light shining in the corner, but due to the angle, the situation inside couldn't be clearly seen.
"Curious..." Airon murmured, and Victor, who was in charge of the prisoner, pushed him closer to the basement stairs.
"Is there anyone else in there?"
Airon broke the silence in the room and asked first.
But the man obviously didn't say anything, he just stood there with his head bowed, neither resisting nor speaking.
Seeing this, Daryl was about to kill him, but Airon stopped him. He tilted his head slightly and signaled for Daryl to follow him.
Soon, the two of them moved, took a rope, and set up a listening device to hear if there was any movement below.
"A flashbang, and then we listen."
The small object in his hand made a metallic sound, and he quickly threw it into the basement.
Boom!
The sound of the explosion was brief, and as soon as the object descended, they listened for any traces of human presence.
But after it all passed, the basement remained peaceful.
Airon could now be certain that there shouldn't be anyone below, but for safety reasons, Victor still aimed his gun at the man and told him to go down first.
Seeing the actions of the various individuals, the man couldn't help but curse silently. He naturally knew that there was no one down there, but he never expected these people to be so cautious in every move they made. It was obvious that they were experts and didn't belong to just any group.
Leaving Daryl and Victor on guard above, the rest quickly descended into the basement.
This is a very large underground space, with an area of over 100 square meters. After a quick glance, Airon confirmed that it was created by removing part of the wall of a steel container and welding it directly. Because there were two corners, one had beds, but only faint red light was coming from the door in the other corner.
Airon could tell at a glance that the extension of the basement led to an open space in the ground. However, it was only relatively safe here, not very comfortable in terms of convenience, but truly secure.
As Airon, George, and Bild explored the empty basement, they stumbled upon a secret room hidden behind a rusty door. Upon entering, they were astonished to discover a photographic treasure that seemed to be from bygone times. The black and white images depicted different scenes related to the Red Army cult.
The first photographs revealed hidden facilities, with large red murals and mysterious symbols adorning the walls. It appeared to be a place of worship, where followers of the Red Army performed unsettling rituals and ceremonies.
Other images showed clandestine gatherings, with people dressed in red robes and masks, creating a sinister and ominous atmosphere. In these meetings, passionate speeches and debates about ascension and transformation into walkers took place, revealing the fervent devotion of the followers.
The photographs also revealed hidden research conducted by the Red Army. There were glimpses of clandestine laboratories, where dark experiments were conducted, manipulating the virus for unknown purposes. These images suggested that the Red Army was involved in dangerous and potentially lethal activities.
As Airon carefully examined the photographs, a chill ran down his spine. He realized they had stumbled upon something much more dangerous than they had expected. It was evident that the Red Army was much closer to them than they had imagined, and they had to be extremely cautious.
With the evidence in their hands, Airon decided it was time to return to their group and warn them about the imminent threat. The discovery of these photographs had confirmed their suspicions and provided an insider's view of the Red Army's activities. Now, it was crucial to take measures to protect themselves and prepare to confront the enemy.
"Pack everything and go up in two minutes, I have something to do..." Airon murmured and then went up the stairs.
"What the hell are you doing here, and where are my people?" Airon pushed aside Víctor and lifted the man by the collar with one hand, with the barrel of his gun pointing into the man's mouth.
"Hey, hey..."
Not only did the man show no fear when he saw the gun's barrel, but he started laughing. There was a trace of pride and joy in his laughter, but before he could laugh a couple of times, a swift punch landed on his nose.
The laughter abruptly stopped, and the man covered his nose with his remaining hand, feeling pain for a moment.
Daryl was the one who hit him. He looked at Airon and said, "Calm down, killing him now won't change anything..."
"How do you know about the Red Army cult?"
Airon's gaze was cold as he whispered, "Don't play with me, or I'll bomb the whole of Washington, wipe out the CRM with a nuclear bomb, and lead my people to Mexico. Tell me what connection the CRM has with those damn lunatics."
The next second, the atmosphere turned cold. Those lunatics who made sculptures with corpses were suddenly related to the CRM.
"What are you saying?"
"There are investigations, photographs, and notes that say this!"
"It's not that serious. We have a commercial relationship like any other community, but there was a problem when the cult discovered some weapon warehouses, and it got out of hand for us," the man said while holding his nose.
"There are at least ten thousand people in the Red Army cult, and suddenly they learned to mobilize walker hordes and do it incredibly well..." The man on the floor smiled and said, "But suddenly we discovered that those bastards are heading towards our enemies, so we won't interfere with their development."
Airon looked expressionlessly at the man and asked, "May I have your name?"
"Jimmy, why?"
After Jimmy finished speaking, he waited for the other person's question, but after waiting for a moment, he saw that the other person just smiled mysteriously and then turned his head to look around.
Seeing that there was no response, Jimmy shouted loudly, looking very angry, "Why?"
Airon ignored him but carefully surveyed the surroundings, looking around and walking towards the table in the middle of the room.
Suddenly, the man became even more furious, cursing everyone aloud as if venting his dissatisfaction.
At this moment, Airon's eyes also scanned the table and then saw something.
"You're very clever, Jimmy, but unfortunately, you'll have to come with us... Daryl, let's get out of here now."
