Chapter 241 - Before the war

"Nooooo!"

Seeing the death of his companion, another man in the group roared with red eyes and ran towards the car parked in front trying to grab the gun in the other party's hands.

"Huh?"

Seeing the man running madly, the soldier in front frowned slightly, but he didn't care, moved the gun in his hands and shot him.

But the moment he pulled the trigger, except for this man who fell lifelessly to the ground, the others who still remained alive ran forward.

"Damn bastards, do they really think it will make a difference?"

Although the soldiers were slaughtering a large number of enemies, not all of them were firing as that would draw too much attention and they were keeping an eye on the surroundings in case they encountered any other enemy.

Seeing this situation, the soldier scoffed and put away his weapon he had in his hand without hesitation, knowing that he didn't have to waste ammunition on these people.

Pulling out his own machete, the soldier slashed at a fatter man who ran forward faster.

The fatter man dodged to the side, dodged easily, and then hugged the arm of the soldier holding the machete, shouting, "Got him, hurry up!"

Seeing this, the rest of the crowd ran forward one after the other, one of the young women took a pistol and kept aiming at the soldier's head, hoping to kill him with one shot, but the figure of the fellow in front of her was moving from side to side and she hesitated to pull the trigger.

Looking at the crowd that was still alive, the soldier who was being held tightly by one arm, one of his hands was still free, so he did not panic at all. With the other hand, he grabbed the neck of one of the rushing men and kicked him.

He then grabbed the man in his hand, punched him hard and then punched the fatter man who grabbed him by the arm, knocking them both to the ground.

The survivors who are used to using cold weapons against the enemy seem so vulnerable in front of the soldier who seemed to have much more combat experience than them.

The soldier who still had his helmet covering his face looked coldly at the survivors struggling on the ground, and said in a deep voice with the machete in his hand, "Murderous bastards, welcome to the end of the world..."

Shss! Auge!

Swinging his machete, some of the enemies were cut down by the soldier who was in front of the car protecting the civilians. But before he could kill them all, an agile figure suddenly jumped from the side of the car and crashed hard into the soldier.

Being such an unsuspecting blow, the soldier staggered backwards, but quickly steadied his figure.

Immediately after, the soldier was hit in the face by one of the figures on the ground, even though he was wearing a mask, getting hit like that made him a little dizzy.

When the second blow came, the soldier grabbed the opponent's fist and hit the stomach of this figure hard. Curiously, none of the survivors he had saved moved, as if they were frozen about what they should do.

Seeing the man kneeling on the ground, clutching his stomach in discomfort, the soldier reached out and grabbed the hair of the man who crashed into him, turned the man's face to his own and said coolly, "The attempt of a dead man..."

As he said that, the soldier looked at the woman still standing in the field, shaking with a gun, and said, "Right now there's a sniper pointed at your head, watching you! If you put your finger on the trigger of the gun, they will die in a matter of seconds and the last thing you will feel will be the warm blood spilling from your head."

The woman couldn't seem to take the pressure, her hands and legs kept shaking, and finally the gun fell to the ground, she sat on the ground covering her face and crying bitterly.

"That's good, we need to ask you some questions...":

Throwing the man with his hair in his hands to the ground, the soldier looked at the woman, then ignored the woman who fell to the ground and who were still crying bitterly, picked up a shotgun, grabbed the ammunition and prepared to reload, and waited for the man behind him to remind them all of what was to happening.

But when he pulled out the ammunition, he suddenly discovered that the companions of these people were completely dead and every now and then a shot could be heard in the distance.

The soldier frowned slightly, shoved the ammunition in his hand into the barrel and closed it tightly, squinting to see what was going on there.

But soon, deep in the dense alley to one side of him, he saw a figure appear, slowly walking this way.

The soldier removed his helmet, revealing his face and it was none other than Morgan, who maintained a cold expression. Seeing someone approaching, Morgan sighed with relief, signaled to check the people behind him and said, "Why did they get here so slowly? Quick, check their bodies, we don't know if they are really survivors or people who deserted from the enemy."

But the figure did not seem to have heard his words, and continued walking without being in a hurry.

Morgan immediately sensed something was wrong, unconsciously raised the shotgun in his hand and shouted, "Who are you?"

"Morgan, the enemy is right behind you."

The figure slowly approached, gradually revealing his figure. It was a young man in his mid-twenties, with a rifle in his hand and his clothes stained with blood, calmly observing Morgan in front of him.

Then footsteps were heard coming from the buildings and all the soldiers slowly descended, gathering in the center of the street where numerous corpses lay.

"Sir, we are all assembled ready to launch a counter-offensive and take the enemy base in half an hour!"

Looking at the crowd around him, Morgan's eyes understood what was happening, he walked towards that figure who seemed to have a hidden face and said, "Airon, I heard about what happened on your side, these people are definitely not someone to negotiate with!"

Unlike the indifference of the enemies, as long as these people are in his hands, they can learn a little about the enemy defenses and could attack in a better way, this is what he had learned during all this time being someone who leads in the central base.

As for whether it was right or wrong, did that really matter?

The people of Airon had classified that shelter as one full of people with no reason, crazies willing to die for absolutely nothing.

"The situation has changed Morgan, we will not negotiate with any base and are only thinking of ways to attack these people. From what we've seen so far, there's no reason to make an effort to lessen their casualties."

Airon looked at the people who had been kneeling in front of him, then looked at those who fell to the ground, frowned slightly and said to the figures following him, "Take them to a building and ask them if they have any anti-aircraft defenses!"

Then he turned around slowly, looked at the area behind where the blood was even redder, and the corpses and weapons all over the ground, and said, "We won't take any chances, two Apache helicopters are on their way to clear the enemy base as best they can."

No one in the vicinity said anything, even Morgan didn't care much, he didn't want to take these people to a future where his son would belong, he definitely wouldn't.

"Zz.. Sir, we have found the sub and a dozen men in the vicinity have been eliminated. We are currently on the shores of a beach and apparently this submarine was washed ashore after its crewmen had deserted."

"All right, prepare for attack, I've got to go to Teddy's base!"

"Yes, sir!"
