After the soldiers arrived at Alexandria, many or most began to set up tents due to the few houses that were available.
As planned, most of them would not stay in this place as they had to return to the central base to go back to the infected that had mutated. They had to investigate as soon as possible whatever had made the changes to that walker and send the videos of the confrontation to the different bases in Atlanta.
Airon knew that everyone had to be prepared for these walker variants, so they had to leave immediately. Of the three hundred people who came, they would return thirty in two helicopters and the rest would stay here.
With the soldiers that remained, Airon planned to take Hilltop as a forward base and the Kingdom as a future base for their community. Thirty soldiers, special weapons and especially medicines that were hard to come by would be sent to each shelter.
At the meeting that was taking place, many of the captains of small squadrons were being briefed, for which Airon personally invited many people from the Alexandria community.
In one room, there were on one side people from Airon waiting to hear his words and from Alexandria who wanted to know what would happen next in this shelter.
The soldiers with guns arriving at the community had made Deanna a little uncomfortable. Why did Airon decide to mobilize so many soldiers to this place? She didn't understand, so she was waiting for an explanation as to what Airon had in mind.
So, Deanna could only guess that Airon wanted to reinforce Alexandria's security but that didn't satisfy her. She accepted Airon and wanted to change the course of this community, so she wanted to know exactly Airon's next plans.
After realizing that there were more bad people than good by Airon's words, Deanna thought it was because of that and also because of the walkers in this place. Since she had arrived, she had put snipers in each of the talayas and in the tower there were more people watching around the clock without exception.
Many of the survivors in this place, although they didn't say it, were nervous. They were not used to seeing so many guns, people guarding every corner of the community and especially a man named Merle insulted mens.
Besides the constant training that was being given to hundreds of people in this place, it is impossible to disguise that many of the survivors don't know things, they have all seen at least a part of the darkness of the real world.
At first Deanna wanted to move slowly, but Airon didn't give her the opportunity to go slow with these people. By his words, either go slow and die later or go fast and avoid death.
Now it is hard to say that Deanna lost control of this community, if her words still have value for the future of Alexandria it was because Airon is a rational and considerate man with the future. If he wasn't, he possibly wouldn't be at this meeting.
Glenn and Maggie even pointed out to him that Merle was being too harsh with the training, but Airon refused to go soft on these people and decided to stick to his original plan for the time being.
As the only one who knew what could become of more than half the people in this place, Airon knew that even if he was considered a demon he had to do it to save these people's lives. Sooner or later, these people would eventually understand.
Many knew how important it was to become a soldier now in Alexandria. After all, no one can guarantee that Alexandria will exist forever. It is necessary and it seems that these skills can only be learned by the instructors who teach every day, they slowly realized that as long as they have these skills, they will have the security to survive even if they escape from Alexandria.
And after seeing how all these new people in Alexandria move, act and think, they are all slowly enjoying learning about what they had not done since they came to this place. The power in the hands of men and women will increase to defend their loved ones, although this will be a very dangerous path, but everyone understands that there is no free food in the world. If you want to get something, you have to work together to get it.
Most importantly, Airon knows that it is not enough to learn how to fight and use firearms. After coming to this world, he has valued all qualities and knows that there are people with better potential for certain things, now he has made the people in the S.C.T. community to take that privilege.
"Deanna, Aaron and all the Alexandria people in this room, I know you are confused and some others scared. I get it, they don't know the real world, not to mention they don't know shit about the global collapse."
Airon looked at Glenn who was wiggling a computer, and with a projector on the wall showed images that left the people of Alexandria petrified.
"This is the city of Atlanta, what you are seeing are images of the bombing that was done in several cities. Because we can't get that far away from our territory for obvious reasons, this is now the city of Atlanta."
The next image he showed were the lonely streets and hundreds of walkers in the distance, the images showed many of the cruelties that Airon's group had encountered.
"Don't close your eyes, take a good look at what was done in that room. Yes, they are cannibals and what they are eating is obviously not vegetables." Airon pointed to a scene that was taken by Shane, evidently those cannibals didn't end well.
"How is that possible?" Aaron couldn't help but look away, the people behind him did too. Deanna and her husband were speechless, they didn't think the situation was that serious.
"You'd be surprised, honey." Merle looked at Aaron and narrowed his eyes.
"And now you're about to see our bases in Atlanta and Georgia, all these people are survivors. They fight day in and day out to survive in this world, they learned that fighting and pointing a gun at certain people, the walkers aren't our only enemies."
"These are just small hordes of walkers, maybe there are ten thousand walkers in this picture?" Airon asked an open question and expected participation from others.
"A little more than ten thousand? Not much more..." Daryl looked at the photo and muttered those words.
Airon nodded, looked at the others and said, "That doesn't matter, what I mean is that there is no world to return to if we don't build it ourselves. I don't ask for your understanding, I ask for your participation."
"Very well, you have in your hands the plans that we will make in these months. Expand our land in Alexandria to take more houses and enough land while we occupy the land for crops. Meanwhile, a squad will bring the walker samples back to the base."
"As for the two communities we have found, they are harmless so I want to ask them if it is right to send them military aid and support. Tell me what you think Daryl?"
As he asked this question, everyone looked at Daryl as they waited for his answer. Uncomfortable with the situation, Daryl began to regret participating in this meeting. "Well, they have crops and are better prepared than we are in this place in that regard. If we give them medicine, weapons and soldiers they will support us with food until we can grow crops ourselves."
Maggie at Glenn's side nodded and noted, "I agree with Daryl, they seem like good people. Now that we know King Ezekiel and his people, we should support them as the strong community we are."
"They have a Lion, I was reading and they say it can bite your arm or head off in one bite." Glenn said with a restrained laugh.
"Hell boy..." Merle was the only one to join him in the joke.
"Well, let's go get some rest. It's getting dark." Airon said seeing that everything had been explained in detail.
"What will we do with the people at the military base?" Raul Mendez asked suddenly.
"Just my dear Raul that's what I wanted to get to, what will we do with those people? You said they were pilots and civilians for the most part, right?"
