When the cleaning woman looked at him, Airon could see several wounds on the woman's face, all of which were covered with gauze and tape. Many of the wounds and bruises were fresh, showing only as far as her skin was exposed. You didn't have to be smart to know that those wounds were caused by blows, which came more or less to understand the situation.
But he was too quick to take action right after arriving. Obviously, Airon knew that this was not the time to deal with the problems of all these people, but after looking at the policemen, Airon decided to speak a few words of provocation.
Coming to a decision, Airon reached out his hand and helped the woman who was walking out of the room, and in a somewhat cold tone asked, "Wait a minute, what's with all those wounds on your face? Someone in this place causing you trouble? Did the people in this room hit you often?"
The woman unconsciously wanted to pull her arm away, but Airon's grip was too strong. She struggled a little but could not break free. She looked around in panic and finally fixed her gaze on a police officer at the back of the door.
Airon immediately turned her head and looked to where she was looking, then pointed to a policeman and said, "So you hit this woman!"
The policeman looked at the woman next to Airon with a cold expression and just as he was about to speak, Dawn suddenly raised her voice and shouted, "Get out now!"
"Don't interrupt me!" Airon turned to look at Dawn with a cold expression, his eyes fixed that policewoman and then he sighed. As things were about to escalate, he let go of the woman's hand, and when Dawn attracted everyone's attention, Airon left a small note in the woman's pocket with wounds on her face.
Then he ignored Dawn's somewhat nervous eyes, looked around, and then looked at that cop in the background and said, "You know, I usually detect time bombs, those ones with a timer on them that can scan at any time."
Dawn and all the cops were already starting to get nervous. No one knew what these people were capable of, but they needed to win back the trust of these soldiers. "Sir, it looks like something happened outside of my supervision! Arrest the officer, he seems to have harmed a civilian."
"Having spent a whole year in this place, I find it hard to comprehend that such details would have happened under your supervision! Well, compared to what we'll be talking about, these details are indifferent." Watching as the officer was handcuffed, Airon looked for a chair and sat down quietly.
"Commander, I apologize for this ridiculous event, now we can talk about what has happened with the outside, don't you think? Everyone in this place is anxious to know what progress you have made." Dawn said directly, expressing her doubts.
After being silent for a moment, Airon pulled a map out of his vest and spread it out in front of Dawn, which made everyone come closer to look. Indeed, what they saw made them feel strange and many did not understand what had happened on the map.
Dawn hesitated for a moment, but still said, "Shepherd, Lamson, you two can stay, the rest of you get out for now!"
Looking at the two policemen, Airon was a little familiar with them. Shepherd was the female cop that Rick caught and traded in the original story, and Lamson was the guy who escaped after tricking Sasha, ultimately killed by a bullet fired by Rick.
Hearing Dawn's words, several cops didn't leave immediately, but looked at the cop named Lamson, and left the conference room one by one until he nodded as well.
Airon could clearly see that Dawn seemed to be unhappy, it could be said that Lamson was in dispute with Dawn and there were provocations of authority, but due to the existence of Airon and his group, they could not openly discuss.
Ignoring these small details, he looked around, then noticed Merle looking at the two remaining officers with piercing eyes.
When everyone was seated except for Bob and Merle, Airon gave them a slight nod and pointed to the map on the table.
Reaching into one of his pockets, he pulled out a few rifle cartridges and placed it on a few sides of the map that centered primarily on Atlanta. Everyone fixed their eyes on where the cartridges were placed, still not understanding what Airon meant.
As he placed the last cartridge, Airon looked at everyone and said, "The cartridges represent the locations where right now the safe havens we protect are operating, some are still in constant expansion and some more for now are assessing the situation, the other locations where there are no bullets it is unknown if there is still an order."
As soon as the three people heard Airon's words, they froze, not knowing what to say. Dawn's eyes blinked rapidly and her lips trembled as she took one of the cartridges in her hand.
'How is it possible?'
"You're lying!"
"That's impossible!"
The three exclaimed almost at the same time, and then Dawn suppressed her disbelief, still wanting to learn more about the situation in the outside world.
Airon had understood the confusion of these three people, some of them had a special mindset and forced themselves to stay in this place and wait for help to come to them. This was living similar to the Governor's shelter, but this place did have salvation so he said, "Even if I don't want to say it, many soldiers, people in the high command of the army abandoned their post or died."
After speaking, he sighed softly and said, "You must know that Atlanta was bombed by the military without mercy, this happened because of Operation Cobalt but as it is clear it didn't do much good. Some of us did not choose to follow that order, so now me and my people are fighting to slowly regain control of Atlanta."
"We have researched the virus but at this point it is too late for us to be able to work out a cure and for it to take immediate effect on people." Saying this, Airon pulled out a glass vial and pointed out, "The only thing scientists were able to make is this vaccine which is not yet ready for human testing."
At this point, Airon exaggerated his words a bit about the situation outside this hospital and what they had done so far. Although he didn't quite lie, he told it like it was and also added a bit of drama to the story.
Dawn was really shaking at this point, everything she had fought for was now broken. She had nothing left, no, there was nothing left now outside of this hospital. If what Airon said was true, humanity had definitely come to an unprecedented end.
Airon knew that despite her compulsive attitude, Dawn expresses her interest towards the found survivors and her main goal is to protect them until the apocalypse is over. Although on the outside Dawn is a tough character, on the inside she is a woman of fear who has many doubts about her role as a leader, going so far as to let her officers do whatever they want.
Since Airon entered this hospital, he planned to change all that so this was just the beginning of his plans. On the other hand, Dawn was beginning to believe his words and was internally coming to grips with what she was learning.
"How can we confirm that what you said is true?" Dawn asked with a somewhat nervous look.
Airon, who looked at Dawn said, "Of course they will be moved from this place to one of the shelters set up in Atlanta, this hospital will from now on be my community's territory and their activities will be taken over along with their personnel by the military."
"They will be given an evaluation to see the state they are in, we will enter their minds and find out what they have done so far in this place."
Dawn was a little hesitant at this point, she stared into Airon's eyes for a long time, but could not see the slightest hint of a lie on the other's face, and could only look to Lamson for help.
At this moment, Lamson's eyes also flickered, as if he was thinking about something, and finally he also looked at Dawn, and the two of them looked at each other, more or less understood each other's thoughts.
Dawn turned to Airon and asked, "Commander Airon, can we discuss this?"
"Sure, although I don't know what you want to discuss, you can take your time.... Don't forget, you don't have much choice either."
Seeing the doubts on both of their faces, Airon nodded without much concern, he knew that they might doubt if they were really from the army due to the fact that after a year that tool was not entirely useful and most importantly, reliable.
At that moment, Dawn did not doubt it anymore, she got up and left the room with Lamson leaving the policewoman named Shepherd, but Airon was not interested in talking to her.
Dawn and Lamson arrived in the corridor and both looked around. They saw that there were some officers nearby and then looked at each other. Just as Dawn was about to speak, she was interrupted by Lamson's words.
Lamson didn't think much of it, he just looked around and said, "Do you think their words are credible? If they have a safe haven and are taking over territory in Atlanta making the place safe, there's definitely no hesitation in going with them, but there's still the credibility issue."
Seeing that Lamson asked first, Dawn's face seemed to improve a little and she said with uncertainty, "I think that since the other party dared to come straight to us, it shouldn't be fake, but what still causes me distrust is his presence, because a commander is in charge of this whole operation that he himself mentioned?"
"What should we do?"
Dawn was thinking quickly, and after a while, she lifted her head and said to Lamson, "There's only one thing we can do, evaluate them for a while while giving our full support, if it's like he said, we'll definitely be better off in the hands of the army."
