In the room, Merle was in a corner while holding an assault rifle, every now and then he could be seen whistling as his gaze was fixed on the policewoman.
Directly across from Airon, Amanda Shepherd was sitting while maintaining a somewhat nervous expression and felt that this situation was very unsettling. She had overheard the conversation just now and from what had been spoken states people were soldiers, which should be more familiar with what had been happening around the country.
"Can I share my thoughts with you?" Airon asked as he looked at the policewoman.
"Huh? Sure..." Amanda Shepherd didn't quite know how Airon wanted to communicate with her or for what reason, so she nodded slightly without much importance.
Seeing Amanda's nod, Airon smiled slightly and then asked, "Why the fuck are we doing this at this very moment?"
"How?"
"Who do you people think you are to waste my time like this? It seems your people are very arrogant to think they can have the privilege of going to consult whether what I said is true or not. Also, considering that many of the cops here apparently abuse survivors, should I give them that privilege or just settle it as soon as possible?"
Airon felt like this was a game, what do these people think they are? Right now I just mentioned he was a military man, didn't I? If his equipment and words aren't clear enough, he would have a serious problem with the people here.
"We don't abuse the survivors sir, we have been with them since the military bombed Atlanta, how could I say something like that?" Hearing Airon's words, Amanda tried to defend her companions' reputation as best she could.
"Hmm, Dawn may have the leadership of this group, but she clearly can't control the police officers that are in this hospital. I have to admire the fact that they gather survivors, but that won't erase their other crimes."
"And I thought it was the devil surviving, how fucking cheeky there was on the police force long before this all went to shit, right, Bob?" Merle glanced over at Bob, who was silent.
"Yeah, how?" Bob was deep in thought a moment ago and didn't hear Merle's question so he answered almost without thinking.
"You see, my friend Bob suffered from racism, isn't that enough to know that people who wear badges are the bad guys? Hell, even in the movies you guys were never the good guys."
"I didn't suffer from racism..." Bob looked at Merle and tried to deny what he had said a moment ago but it was too late.
"Well that I guess doesn't matter, take the gun away from our friend Merle..." Airon shook his head and then sighed.
"Of course, I must take the gun away from our companion... Listen, you mustn't tell anyone about this, if you do things could get very red." After disarming Amanda Shepherd, Merle shook his head a little disappointed.
Amanda on her side looked at Airon in shock. Never mind her words, right now Airon had revealed a bit of what he had been thinking about while Dawn wasn't around.
"As I had said before, I usually detect time bombs and in this place there are many of them, you will all be removed to a facility once my people arrive here. I will know what you did and you will be punished accordingly, this will be your second chance."
Seeing that the other party didn't seem to say anything, Airon just sighed and didn't want to talk further, he knew that wasting so much time in this place was not at all optimal in his situation. Having places to go, Airon pulled a radio out of his chest and then informed Shane of what happened.
Shane's base was closer to the hospital and they could get there in about eight minutes if they had a smooth drive. Sam Valdez's base on the other hand was south of this place and the trip could be much bigger and more complicated, so Airon didn't want to bother him.
"But you could help me so no one gets hurt, could you do that for me?" Airon's eyes fixed on Amanda Shepherd and he asked her with a somewhat intriguing look.
"What do you need me to do?" Amanda asked with a somewhat complicated expression. She knew better than anyone that her companions acted as they pleased without anyone being able to stop them.
At the time, it might have become hard to watch, but after a while no one was saying anything and it was something that was kept hidden. Now that someone came to this hospital and claimed to be able to help everyone, she would definitely agree to have all of this resolved without spilling a drop of blood.
Merle, who had taken the gun from Amanda, walked over and put the gun back on the table and then said, "It's very easy, you make a list of troublesome cops and our people will take care of putting them in jail."
Airon nodded as he heard these words, he looked at Amanda waiting for her response, this problem was much more facial to solve than with the Governor. None of the policemen were all bad, so with time and a program to train them led by Corporal Rayan, these policemen would once again be someone trustworthy.
With the rank and file growing larger and larger, he needed to establish three different types of forces that would be much more sophisticated. The community needed police, soldiers and fighters to take out walkers with cold weapons.
These policemen would definitely be useful for him to start implementing that plan, after all, their help and experience would be very useful. As for how that would play out, Airon had only superficially thought about it.
"If you promise not to harm my companions, I can do that for you. After all, I don't want anyone to get hurt." Amanda Shepherd said with a complicated expression, definitely doing this so that a larger confrontation wouldn't break out.
"Definitely no one will die..." Airon's words were sincere, then he looked at Bob to the side and Bob nodded as he handed him a notebook for Amanda to jot down names.
After a while, Amanda handed him the sheet and with a simple glance, Airon handed the paper to Bob so that he could inform the people outside and they were almost immediately made of this dangerous group of people.
After a while longer, Dawn and Lamson came in and looked at everyone with somewhat curious expressions, they immediately looked at Amanda and seeing that she nodded they walked over and sat down across from Airon.
"We are very sorry for the wait, we had to consult if we should trust your words, today many have taken a bad path and if we want everyone in this place to be well, we must think things through carefully." Dawn said with a slightly unsympathetic smile.
"Hmm, I understand..." Airon averted his gaze towards the door and then said, "I'm really sorry, but I need to go to the bathroom, that food from last night must be doing mischief in my stomach..."
"Hahaha!" Merle's hoarse laughter erupted from the corner of the room.
Unable to refuse, Dawn nodded and then said, "We have active baths, Lamson will show you the way."
After getting up, Airon walked to the door and Lamson followed. As they stood outside the door Airon said, "You don't need to come with me, just tell me where the bathroom is."
"Yes, all the way to the back and you turn right." Lamson said without thinking much about Airon's words.
"Thanks, I'll be right back..."
After speaking, Airon stretched his hand towards Lamson and then walked forward. With slow steps he walked towards the hallway where the way to the bathroom was, Lamson a little hesitant followed him far behind.
Airon walked without worries, but a woman's scream made his steps stop in his tracks, those screams came from a room right next to where he was passing.
He had foreseen it, those eyes of the policeman who had been handcuffed were demonic and if the cops in this place are united in the things they did here, they would definitely let him go free and what is happening now was to be expected.
Airon then turned and opened the door without hesitation. Long before Lamson arrived to stop him, he had already passed into the room and what he didn't see caused an anger to rise from within Airon.
After the door was opened, the inner voice was heard throughout the halls. The loud scream of a woman caused many people to come out of their rooms and look to where the screams were coming from. Many of the policemen looked familiar, but right now their faces were pale.
In the room where Dawn was, they also heard the commotion. At that moment, she opened the door and as she turned her head to the side all she saw was Lamson running out into a room, and her heart fluttered with fear.
She immediately sensed that these things didn't seem simple, so Dawn also ran out of the room.
Merle and Bob looked at each other, after getting out the radio and informing the people outside, he looked at Amanda and said, "Honey, if you want no blood to be spilled you should support us in this situation."
When Amanda heard this, she nodded and ran along with them towards the exit. As soon as Dawn entered the room, Dawn saw a scene that horrified her.
At that moment, Airon was on top of the body of a man named Licari and his fists were impacting his face one after the other. On the other hand, Lamson tried to move Airon now to the side but his attempts were in vain. In the corner of the room was a woman with messy hair, crying as her body was hidden.
Dawn wasn't supposed to ask what happened, but having to choose, she drew her gun and pointed it at Airon as she yelled, "Stop! Otherwise I'll shoot you."
Airon turned to the side, his expression full of brutality and he said to Dawn, "You'd better look behind you!"
