In a few moments, Jadis reached out and lowered the pistol into the old man's hand and then nodded to the old man.
The old man bowed respectfully to Jadis, then turned and walked slowly toward the container, disappearing from Airon's sight.
After the old man left, Jadis raised the gun in her hand, and then Airon finally heard her say the first words since they had met.
"You perhaps... what do you really mean?"
Airon looked at Jadis blankly, then held out both hands and pointed, "I'm a person who can help you."
"Tell me who you are?" Jadis asked again using the tone, words and expression from a moment ago.
"You know very well, don't you?"
Airon looked down and pointed to his coat pocket before slowly reaching in and pulling out a piece of paper he had prepared earlier and handed it to this woman.
Jadis took the paper carefully, looked intently at Airon and then slowly opened it the paper she was holding. After spreading out the sheet, a pattern drawn in black ink appeared, and Jadis' pupils constricted abnormally. She was so familiar with this pattern of three interlocking rings!
She raised her head and looked at Airon again, her scrutinizing eyes roaming over him. Thinking carefully about the situation that was currently unfolding.
For this meeting, Airon had removed his jacket and deliberately donned an all-black combat uniform over his body, to confuse Jadis and prevent her from confirming his identity as a fake.
"Are you... Are you perhaps one of them?" Seeing that the other party seemed to fully grasp her concentration on him, Airon remained silent, admitted nothing and said, "These are things for you to consider, so now I guess we can talk quietly, right?"
The gun in Jadis' hand had been lowered since she saw the logo on the paper Airon had handed her, but now that she knows that the other party is possibly related to or belongs to that mysterious organization, she showed a better attitude towards him.
Her tone suddenly returned to normal, but she spoke very slowly, as if she hadn't spoken in a long time, making it difficult for her to finish a sentence at once.
Airon was in no hurry, he looked at Jadis with an indifferent expression and began his plan to trick this cunning woman.
"Let me introduce myself again. You can call me Airon. I originally came all the way to this place since I wanted to talk to you about something important."
"What is it?"
The brief exchange caused Jadis to speak with some fluency. Seeing the puzzled look on this woman's face, Airon began to speak.
"Jadis..."
"I must say that's a good name..."
Airon knew that this woman was very cautious and he needed to be extremely careful about what he said next. If Jadis noticed anything abnormal, it was very likely that their conversation would be over long before it began.
Airon pretended to be nonchalant on the surface, but in fact, countless thoughts had passed through his mind.
"Tell me Jadis, do you want to join them?"
Jadis' expression was not as calm as it had been at first. Joining the CRM was his obsession. Even after the saviors would wipe out his people, she relied on his obsession to survive.
"Can you let me join them?"
"Of course!"
Jadis looked at Airon quizzically, instead of continuing to ask questions on that topic, he changed the direction of the conversation
"Why help me?"
Airon raised his hand and wiggled his fingers while showing off the black gloves.
He definitely wouldn't say why, least of all to this untrustworthy woman.
"I have my own motives, all you need is a golden ticket to join them, don't you?"
"What's the ticket?"
Jadis moved closer to Airon and was really intrigued by the ticket he had mentioned.
"Do you think a B is good enough for your ticket?"
"¿B?"
"With a B it would be impossible..."
"Then it'll be an A, but I still think a B is enough."
Airon walked to the back of the vehicle and dropped suitcase after suitcase on the ground, then looked at Jadis who had an abnormal expression and said again, "The radio frequency has been adjusted, and I promise to turn it on every night and when I have news, I will contact you very soon."
"Then I will give you the information you need every time I have something new." Jadis said suddenly, as his eyes scanned Airon. "You're not one of them, are you?"
With an indifferent face, Airon said, "It doesn't matter if I am one of them or not. The important thing is that I know them better than you do. This business does you no harm, and neither does it hurt me. Therefore, this will be a win-win transaction."
"If you want to work together with me, to be sure that no changes happen, I will bring you a B in a short period of one month to one year. All you have to do is save your life and not point your guns at strangers."
"Why don't you communicate directly with them?" Jadis asked again with uncertainty.
"Of course I can do that, but in that case, you couldn't have any benefit. Are you really sure about me doing that?"
Shrinking back, Jadis understood the meaning this man had with his actions. Airon only wanted to contact this mysterious organization through herself, but for some reason, the other party seemed unwilling to expose herself.
Seeing that she was silent, Airon spoke again, "What do you think, do we have a deal?"
Jadis hesitated for a moment, but finally couldn't resist the temptation and said, "Deal, but I still have one condition."
Seeing Airon pause and wait for what to say, Jadis pointed out, "I need a batch of food so I don't have to go out and risk my life outside this place, and I also need a batch of weapons enough to defend my shelter."
"I'll send someone today to bring the stuff."
Without waiting to see Jadis' reaction, Airon climbed straight into the car, started the engine and sped away from the sight of these people.
Jadis bent down and picked up the bag from the ground, ignoring the weapons and ammunition in the bag, took out the radio, hid it in his pocket and then walked towards the entrance of the container with the bag of weapons.
The corners of her mouth turned up slightly, obviously very pleased with the unexpected delivery of resources that arrived on her doorstep.
On the way, Airon turned on the music and sang a song. He has gained a lot today, if he can get trusted people into the CRM, whether B or A, he could somehow get his own into that organization.
But this could prove to be very risky, so he must think really hard about what he was about to do with the tools he had gotten so far.
