Sarah simply smiled as she dodged her mother. It had been a week since the announcement and both her mother and the Duchess had been formidable in their quest for answers. Truth be told it had been a tiring week and even though
their parents blessing wasn't crucially necessary, it didn't hurt to smooth the frayed nerves of their parental figures, thus leading to Sarah having to put up with her mother's constant complaining.
"Mother, I told you. I'm not hiding from a scandal, you know I don't care what anyone thinks about me. I'm happy with Jonah, he makes me happy."
