Chapter 20 - 20. A Solo Trek

The Ganamela or ‘festival of songs’ is a regular staple at festivals all around Kerala. It entertains crowds with the latest and peppy songs as well as vintage songs for the elders. The crowd in front of the stage was much bigger now. All the seats in the auditorium were taken. The singer belted out a peppy song from the latest movie and this moved the crowd to motion. The young and excited groups in the crowd started jumping and dancing in tune with the beats of the song.
