" Asher ,Your father wants to talk to you ,he said I should send you to his study once you are back " his mother told him
" ok mom " he replied as he made his way to his father's study

" come in " his father said from the other side of the door
He opened the door to see his father flipping Over some documents
" you called for me dad "
" I called you here for two things ,sit" carter said in a serious tone ,Asher heart slammed against his rib cage ,he hated when his father got serious about something because the outcome was always bad
" firstly ,Now that you are back home ,I want you to handle my real estate company since that's what you studied"
Carter paused and looked into his son's eye
" secondly ,I heard what happened from your mother ,how could you be careless enough to abuse a girl ,I've told you times without number not to take alcohol ,you have zero tolerance when it comes to alcohol but you took it and look at what happened "
" I didn't mean to do it father ,it was mistake honestly " Asher defended
" mistake or not ,I'm going to punish you ,find that girl in 3 days so I can compensate her or I find her myself and you get married to her ,you mother even told me she was a v*rgin ,you rascal "
Asher immediately became tensed when he heard the word 'marriage'" Dad ,I can't get married to someone I don't know ,I don't even know what she looks well probably i do know but the point is I can't spend my entire life with a stranger and besides I'm too young to get married " Asher complained as he felt violated that he had to marry someone he doesn't know

Asher left the study in down spirits and went to his room
'The manager obviously didn't want to reveal the girls information ,he would have to hire a private investigator,
He picked up to call his friend
"Ben ,can you help me find a private investigator please "
" sure ,i have the contact of someone I know ,I'll text it to you right Now " Ben replied

After ending the call with Ben ,Asher saved the contact on his phone and sent an email to the investigator

Investigator: do I know you ??
Asher: no ,I need you to help me investigate someone ,I'll send the details I have with me to you ,I just need the person's house address .
Investigator :okay .lets talk about payment .
Asher:I will pay you any amount you want ,just do the job .
Investigator:alright ,I believe we have a deal ??
Asher:yes.
Asher sent journey's picture and name and her work place to the investigator .
I hope I find her .
The next day ,Asher got up early ,it was his first day as the new president of one of the subsidiary of Bennett's corporation ,he couldn't say he was excited because of the weight on his shoulders,' come to think of it ,she was not the only one who lost her virginity,I did too ,shouldn't she take responsibility for me too by forgetting about what happened and then we are even '

In his seven years abroad ,he didn't engage in things like women ,alcohol or relationships

He first put his two hands in his trouser pocket and raised his shoulder up slightly and tried to catwalk 'nope ,it's look like walking on a runaway ,

He quickly straightened up

When he got to the entrance of the company ,he was about to enter when he reversed and started walking towards the the entrance with his hands in his pockets this time around with a sweet smile on his face .
As he walked through the door with one of the bodyguards his father assigned for him ,all eyes were glued to him ,the ladies were practically drooling ,thou he wasn't all muscles ,he had a slender and tall body which gave people around him a sense of warmth ,he was the real definition of 'the boy next door '.
Asher was feeling proud with the way the ladies were ogling at him ' I guess I look very good today "

He had a smile of his face and he made his way to the elevator that led to the last floor which was where his office was situated .
Upon entering the office he marvelled at the sight of how big it was ,he sat on his chair and twirled around smiling 'so this how it feels to be a CEO' he thought .
After series of smiles and twirling
Asher called a meeting to address all the head of departments .
After the meeting he sat back in his office and picked his phone and sent a text to the private investigator
Asher : how is it going ??any updates ??
Investigator:not yet ,someone seems to be covering up her informations ,this person is aware you are searching for so he Or she cut off all leads that can take us to where she lives .
'Just who is she ,why would someone be covering her informations 'Asher thought
'Wait if she had someone covering her informations does that she doesn't want me to find her and she is willing to forget about what happened '
Asher smiled at the theory he cooked up in his head.
A knock jolted him up from his thoughts and two men came inside ,one was muscular and huge while the other was frail looking .
" uhmmmn,how can I help you ??" He asked looking at the two men who looked Like a perfect example of word and opposite .
The frail looking man was the one who spoke ,he cleared his throat and said " we are your assistants ,elder MR Bennett asked us to come assist you ,he said you were new to this business"
Asher sized up the both of them ,and then he received a glare from the huge guy as if to say ' what's up with the look'
Asher immediately regained his composure
" okay ,you are welcome ,I'm Asher ,May i know your names "
The frail looking guy spoke up again "I'm graham and he is Jordan "
" oh ,why are you speaking for him " he said pointing to the one whose name was Jordan ,he then gasp and covered his mouth with the back of his hand as if realization finally dawned on him " oh my God ,is he dumb??" He commented only to receive another glare from the huge guy paired with a scoff
" I'm not " the unmoving rock finally spoke .
After the day ended and it was time to go home ,Ashers driver drove him back to the mansion .
He immediately made his way to his father's study
" Dad ,Dad " he screamed like an excited kid who just bought a new spider man toy
" Geez Asher ,don't give me an heart attack ,why are you excited ,have you found her ?"
" No but I hired a private investigator to help me look for her house address and all of that but he said someone was covering it up ,do you know what that means ??"
His father looked at him with a dumbfounded gaze before answering " no I don't "
" well ,if she is covering up her tracks ,it means she doesn't want me to find her and she obviously wants to forget about what happened that day so I don't need to look for her or get married to her "Asher finally explained his theory to his father
Carter looks at his son like he just heard the most dumbest thing ever
" no ,you still need to find her or marry her if I find her ,I can't take any risk ,understood ???"his father said firmly
Asher's face immediately lost its light .
He dragged his feet back to his room and started thinking of another step to take .
'If I ever lay my hands on that girl ,I will strangle her ,she's disrupting my life even without her ..' Asher paused his thoughts as he recollected that he was the one at fault .
