journey didn't know why her boss gave her a week off ,it seemed suspicious
After Nash left her place that night ,she went to work ,but her manager told her that her face looked pale that she should take a week off work ,on one side journey was happy to rest but she couldn't help but be suspicious ,she knew the kind of person her boss was ,and he definitely not someone who would give his worker a week off ,there was a day one of her colleague fainted at work ,the manager made the girl come to work on the third day .
Her phone ringed out and she picked it up
"Hello "
"Fire ball ,how are you feeling now ?"
"Oh Nash ,why did you use a different number to call me "she answered after confirming that the person speaking was Nash
"My phone got stolen so I bought a new phone and a new SIM card "he replied
"Oh !"
"I want to come over ,There are some things I have to tell you "Nash said over the phone
"Ok ,I'll be expecting you ,should I make something for you to eat"
"No you don't need to stress yourself ,I'll buy some take outs on my way"
"Okay ".
...
Nash was nervous after speaking to journey on the phone .
'Yes I'm going to tell her everything today 'he thought to himself
He knew if he didn't tell her about his feelings soon ,he might lose her .
He knocked on Journey's door as he rubbed his sweaty palm on his trousers
" come in " he heard her talk ,he stepped his foot into her apartment ' Now that he thought about it ,this condo seems small for her ,he should move her to a bigger one but then again they made a lot of memories here ," well we can just make new ones " he said to himself .
Nash put the take outs he ordered on the dining table " let's eat first ,we can talk while eating "
"okay no problem "
He brought a Bouquet of flowers out from his back ,it was red roses (meaning 'I love you ')
"Oh thanks "she collected it from him
Nash couldn't help but be disappointed that she didn't know what it means but then journey wasn't someone who delve deep into romantic stuffs .
Halfway through their lunch
"So what did you want to talk to me about " beau asked him
"Uhmmmn something important ,let's finish this food first "
" okay "
When they were done eating ,they both sat together on a sofa in journey's sitting room
Nash started
"First I want to tell you that I...ummm... own purple haven "
" what ???" journey was obviously shocked
" yes,I was the one who asked your manager to give you a week off "
"Wow ,I didn't know my bestie was this loaded ,but why are just telling me now ???"she pouted
This made Nash chuckle " I thought you might not feel comfortable working in your friends bar ,I bought it when I decided to settle in this city few years ago "
" wow but you told me your parents live far away ??"
" yes that's true ,I'm the only one in oakland city my parents don't live here "
" why did you decide to settle here ??"
Nash pretended to be in deep thoughts ,his fingers on his chin as he raised them up as if he was thinking about the reason before he finally answered
" I came here because of you "
" Me why?, Are you like my guardian angel or something ??she giggled at the word " guardian angel
Nash stared at her beautiful smiling face ,at that moment it felt like life was beautiful and perfect with her in it ,he didn't want much ,he only wanted to wake up next to her every single day of his life .
" why are you staring at me like that ??"
" I'm in love with you fireball "
Immediately,journey's eyes widened as she didn't expect to hear such a word from Nash
" you are in love with ...me ???"
" yes" Nash stared into her face ,to see her reaction to his confession
"iiii...."She was at lost of words.
" it's okay you don't have to give me a reply now ,I know this will come as a surprise to you so you can take as many days as you want to think about it ."
Journey didn't know how to feel to his sudden confession ,she thought he saw her as a little sister and a friend just like the way she saw him but who knew he harboured feelings for her .

After the awkward talk ,they both played cards before Nash finally left
Nash was restless after he got home
Thou journey played games with him ,he knew things were awkward on her side and she was not as free as she was with him before ,he shouldn't Have confessed ,it was all goddamned Asher Bennett's fault ,if he didn't receive reports that Asher was in search for beau ,he wouldn't be so reckless .

Asher who was still thinking about what to do suddenly sneezed
" I wonder who is caring ,enough to think about me this late "
The next day came so soon
Asher stretched lazily in his bed
'Knock knock 'he heard the door open
" young master Bennett ,it is time to go to the office " a voice came
He sat up gradually only to see 'word and opposite' standing in his room
Jordan was leaning against the wall of his room casually while graham was at the side of his bed
How could he forget this two followed him home yesterday ,his father has stated that they would be his assistants at home ,at the office and anywhere else .
" what are you both doing here so early ???,please get out I need to sleep some more" Asher said and curled back into his blanket .
Suddenly he felt his entire being floating and suddenly he fell into an ocean .
" aaaah ,I'm drowning someone please help me "he screamed
" Don't be so dramatic ,I just put you in your bath tub ,I'll give you ten minutes to take your bath ."Jordan said and walked out of the bathroom
This was the second time he has heard the big guy speak.
Apparently the big guy carried him from his bed into the bath tub
Asher turned red in embarrassment ,he was not a kid ,why would an assistant treat him this way ,he won't allow it .After bathing and dressing up ,the trio came out of his room
" I want to see my father quickly ,wait for me downstairs " he said with a pout
" I hope you are not planning to go back to bed sir " it was graham who spoke this time
" no!"Asher nearly screamed in anger ,he puffed his cheeks and walked away ,anyone who saw him right now would think he was a five year old child whose candy got stolen .
He knocked the door of his parents bedroom ,his mother was the one that opened the door ,he quickly smiled liked a good boy before his mother " Good morning mom " he greeted in a sing song tone
His mother giggled at her son's adorable behaviour " What do you want this early son "
He peeped into the room behind his mother "I need to talk to dad "
Carter was just coming out of the washroom ,he had a towel below his waist ,he had chiseled abs ,his face proportion was perfect ,anyone who was looking would see that Asher got his looks from his father .
" what is it "carter asked
When Asher remembered why he came all the way to his parents room ,he frowned again
" can you prepare another assistant for me ,a pretty lady will be better ,those guys are rude ,imagine that huge bouncer carried me from my bed into my bath tub " he exhilarated
carter sighed at his son's childishness
". You don't have the right to fire anybody most especially those boys ,you better get used to seeing them everyday " his father replied
Asher threw his hands into the air dramatically
" fine ,and father I can't find that girl ,can we just let it be since she doesn't want to be found " he negotiated
But his father stood on his words
" no negotiations Asher ,find her in three days or I find her and you marry her ,period "
He slammed the door shut .
Asher walked away in frustration
Back inside his parents room
" carter you can't just let our son marry any girl "
" he is an adult and he has to know how to become responsible ,he can't rely on us forever ,he committed the crime so he must bear the consequences ,if he wasn't my son do you think the police wouldn't have arrested him and sent him to jail ,if we find the girl and she isn't to willing to marry him then so be it but if she wants him to be responsible for her then he must marry her .
