Tyler's P.O.V
Today is the day, the day I get to meet James' siblings and grandparents. I'm a little nervous but James says I have nothing to worry about.
He said his grandparents will love me, his grandpa served in the Marines with Chris's dad and he says that they basically are the same person. He also said that his sisters will love me because they love everyone, probably because they're only five and three. But who I'm most worried about is Ryan, his brother, he's autistic but on a different part of the spectrum from me.
His aunt, uncle, and Landon are also going to be there tonight, so who knows it could get crazy.
I talked to Addison and Brooklyn about moving rooms and they said they were fine with it, I've slowly been moving my stuff over. I decided to take the drawers out of the dresser one by one and take them into my new room and move the clothes over.
I took all my clothes out of the closet, I also moved my bedding over. Yesterday I had spent my first official night in there and it was great. All that I have left to move is Chewy and the box of my books that's under my bed into there. Against one of the walls is a huge bookcase and I can't wait to fill it with books.
James is gonna help me fill the shelf today, yesterday I went and got my glasses and I really like them. I didn't realize how much I couldn't see until I got glasses, they're so cute and way too big for my face that I kind of look like a cartoon character.
According to Cole I'm still 'smoking hot', Daniel was not pleased when he heard, and neither did James or Greyson. Hell even Felix seemed mad, I've noticed that Felix seems to be becoming more and more protective of me each day.
Landon has also been gaining some bravery and started talking to Vivi some, it's actually quite cute watching them interact together. They'll be such a cute couple when he finally finds the courage to ask her out.
I'm currently standing in the bathroom in front of the mirror doing my hair in two french braids into little buns. I hear a knock on my door, "Come in," I call as I finish the second bun then brush out my bangs so they look nice.
"I love Felix don't get me wrong, he's been my best friend since we were in middle school. But I think he's starting to become a bit of an overprotective brother." James says as he closes the door behind him.
"What do you mean?" I ask dragging my box of books over to my bookshelf, I sit next to it and open it up. "Landon and Vivi were talking on the couch sitting next to each other, Felix saw them and stormed over then moved her over and sat in between them." he says coming over and I hand him a book to put on the shelf.
"Luckily I got up here before he realized or I probably would have gotten a lecture." he says putting the books I hand him on the shelf.
It's like Felix could sense it because the door suddenly opens and he's looking at us. "If you two are up here door stays open, got it," he says pointing between the both of us.
Me and James look at each other then back at Felix, "Why?" It's not like we're gonna do anything.
"Because that's the rule. If you have a boy in your room the door has to stay open." he says sternly crossing his arms over his chest.
"Since when?" I like pushing Felix's buttons, it's funny. "Since always, now door stays open." he goes to leave but stops with what I say next.
"Daniel thinks it's fine if we're in here with the door closed." I can't help the little grin that forms on my face. His head snaps around quickly, "What, quit lying."
"Call him and ask him if you don't believe me," I shrug handing James more books. He looks at me then at Felix then back at me.
"Tyler I know you think this is funny but don't push him over the edge," he almost pleads with me. Felix pulls out his phone the puts it on speaker and Daniel answers immediately.
"Hello?" I can hear that he's in his patrol car, "Hey dad, Tyler says that you let her and James in her room with the door closed. That true?"
My grin only grows wider when Daniel doesn't even hesitate when he says yes. Felix's face drops, "Are you crazy?!" he then walks off down the hall leaving me and James.
I get up and close the door then go back to the bookshelf. "Seems like his overprotectiveness has also expanded out to you," James chuckles. I roll my eyes but I can't help the smile that forms on my face.
"Great now I have him, Greyson, and Daniel being all overprotective," I hand him the last of the books and then break down the box. "So are you excited about tonight?" he asks going over and sitting on my bed.
I place the box by the door then go over and sit next to him, "Well, I don't know if excited is necessary the word I would use." I shrug and push up my glasses.
"Sill worried about meeting Ryan?" he asks looking down at me, "I just can't help it, so many things could go wrong," I say leaning my head on his shoulder.

Me and James are sitting in his truck about to go into his house, "Whenever you're ready, no rush" he says taking my hand in his. "Just about a minute or two please," I just need a final breather.
"Okay yeah, that's totally fine," he says nodding. I pick up my little diabetic bag and check it for about the fifth time, "Are you looking for something in there? You keep digging through it," he asks tilting his head a little.
"No, just making sure I have everything. Also kind of secretly hoping that I had forgotten something and that would buy me more time." I sigh, "Tyler, if you aren't ready or comfortable we can do this another time okay. I don't want you to do this because you think it'd make me happy, I want you to be comfortable okay." he asks squeezing my hand a little.
"No, I can do this tonight. I promise, and I guess we can go in if we wait any longer we might end up sitting out here all night." I say zipping up my bag.
He nods and we get out and head up to the front door, "Okay, you ready?" he asks looking down at me. I nod and we go in, "Jame!" a little girl yells, forgetting the 's' in his name, running up to James.
He bends down and picks her up and places her on his hip, "Hey Malia, were you good for GG and Poppy?" he asks and she nods giggling. "Ah James, who's this?" an elderly lady asks coming up to us, "GG, this is Tyler. Tyler this is my GG Jane," he says introducing us.
"Oh darling, call me GG," she says smiling at me, I smile back and a man who looks a few years older than PawPaw comes over. "So this is the girl Hank was talking about." he says placing his hand on James' shoulder.
I stand there awkwardly as his grandparents look at me, "I'm James' Poppy, Nathaniel. But please call me Poppy," he says holding his hand out. "Um..." I stare at his hand and then look at James, "Oh dad Tyler's really not a toucher," James' dad says coming from the kitchen.
"Oh Tyler you got glasses," his dad says taking me in, "Yeah, diabetes took away my vision," I say smiling a little. I can't help it, something about his dad just makes me smile. If my dad was still alive I feel like he'd be a mix of Daniel and James' dad, goofy and overprotective.
"Well they look good on you," he says then takes the little girl from James, "James, have you introduced Tyler to the little gremlins?" he asks as the little girl wraps her arms around his neck.
"Tyler, this is Malia my youngest sister. Malia this is Tyler my girlfriend," James says as his dad sets her down. "Hi, you're very pretty," she says waving at me, I look down at her with a smile. She's got these cute little chubby cheeks, her hair is in two pigtails on top of her head and she's got these tiny little teeth.
I wave at her then she runs off and James' grandpa goes after her, "Come here you little booger!"
"Okay let's go find the other two," he says and leads me through the house. In the living room is a girl a little older than Malia sitting in front of the TV, "Harper, come here I want you to meet someone." he says and she does a little huff then comes over to us.
"Tyler this is Harper," before he gets a chance to say anything else she wraps her arms around my legs. My eyes widen and I look at James, he goes to grab her but I bend down a little and slowly wrap my arms loosely around her.
This probably looks as awkward as it feels, "She's really pretty," she whispers to James, "I know" he whispers back.
I look up at him and smile, she squeezes me tighter and I tense up. "Okay Harper how about we let her go," he says and pry's her off me. "Do you know where Ryan is?" he asks looking around the room, "His room," she says and goes back to watching TV.
"I guess you can meet him at the table," he says and we go into the kitchen. "Why'd you pick glasses that are like four times too big for your face?" Landon says as he shoves his face with bread.
"Because I could," I say rolling my eyes at him, he sticks his tongue out at me and I do the same back. "You two act more like siblings than you and Greyson," James says laughing at us.
Dinner is finished and we all go to the table, James dad goes up and gets Ryan from his room. As soon as he gets to the dining room and spots me he makes it known. "Who is this?" Like James had told me last night when he talks its kind of like a robot, he says that his school says it is from lack of interaction.
"Ryan this is Tyler, we talked about her remember?" James asks as Ryan sits across from me. "You have a boy's name, why?" he asks looking towards me but not at me.
"Because I hid behind my twin the whole pregnancy, and when he was born they couldn't decide between my name and his name. So then when I was discovered they gave us each the names they couldn't decide between." I shrug, I really like my name it kind of means a lot to me.
"Wait seriously, I kinda thought it had like some real meaning or something. Not they just couldn't decide on a name for Grey," Landon says shoving food in his mouth once again. "Well, it was my dad's middle name so to me it kind of does have a meaning to me." I say and glare at him.
"I've been told you're parents were marines," James' grandpa says nodding at me.
Dinner goes by smoothly, Ryan and I don't say much to each other which I'm kind of grateful for. Overall it was a great evening and I'm really glad I didn't chicken out and just go back home.

I love Tyler's glasses, frames that are too big for your face are the absolute best.
