Tyler's P.O.V
-About six months later-
I'm officially done with school, we graduated two weeks ago and honestly I couldn't be happier.
I've got my family, James, and his family, sadly Landon is included in both of those now because he grew a pair of balls and asked Vivi out. She was so excited, apparently, she has had a crush on him for about two years.
Once they had started dating and it was known at school Kyle found out and made it his goal to torment her during class. Landon was the first to know of course and he was obviously pissed, then,, of course Felix found out and his overprotectiveness went into overdrive. He beat him almost to death and Daniel was very mad at him for getting into a fight, then he found out why he almost killed him and was mad that he didn't in fact kill him.
The day that Kyle came back to school after recovering was a little chaotic, Felix had been suspended so he,, of course wasn't there to protect Vivi. But she wasn't alone, the whole damn football team didn't let him get close enough for him to be able to see if it was in fact her or not.
Sadly Addison and Clara broke up, Clara called it off and said she was interested in another girl. One who went to the same school as her. Addison was heartbroken and wouldn't leave her room for days, the only reason she did was because the school said if she missed any more days she wasn't going to be able to graduate.
Dallas got himself a boyfriend named Clayton, when he came for dinner the first time both Daniel and Felix went into hardcore overprotective mode. I kind of felt bad for the poor boy, Finn got a girlfriend named Samantha but she prefers we call her Sam.
Oscar says he plans to stay single as long as he can, and Brooklyn has her eyes on the boy whose family just moved in next door. Paxton keeps claiming he's going to drop out the first chance he gets and Chris and Daniel keep telling no way in hell that it's going to happen.
Greyson has been on a few dates with a girl who goes to the college he'll be going to in the fall, her name is Dana.
But that's enough about all of them, me and James have a date tonight and I'm very excited. He won't tell me where he's taking me but I know it'll be somewhere great I can just feel it in my bones.
I'm standing outside waiting, even though he tells me all the time not to and that he'll come to the door and get me. I never seem to listen though, I'm always too excited to be with him to wait for him inside.
A car pulls up and I'm a little confused, it's not James' old truck but a black Subaru. The door opens and James steps out, "Now what have I told you about waiting for me outside," he fake scolds walking up to me.
"I'm just too excited, where's your truck?" I ask looking past him at the car, "Getting my oil changed, Dad let me use his car though so come on let's go," he goes over to the passenger door and opens it for me.
I get in and he closes the door behind me then goes around to the driver's side. "So can I get a hint or anything?" I ask as we back out of the driveway, "You'll see," he says looking over at me with a smile.
"Ugh, I hate when you do that," I say and slump down in my seat. He just chuckles and we continue on our way, as we're going down what seems to be a back road the car in the other lane is swerving a bunch.
What happens next happens so fast I honestly don't really know what happened. I just know there's a lot of honking then an impact and pain, lots of pain then as it's going dark I hear James yell.
"Tyler!"
James P.O.V
No. Shit. Tylers eye's close and her breathing starts to become a little shallow. I find my phone on the floorboard and dial 9-1-1.
"9-1-1 what is the state of your emergency?" the operator asks on the other side, "I- we've been in a car accident, my girlfriend she... I don't know she's unconscious," I say and unbuckle my seatbelt.
"Okay, sir can you give me your location," he asks and I can hear him typing, "The backroad down Harvey," I say and notice Tyler is bleeding out of her side.
"Okay, you said she was unconscious does she have any other injuries that you can see?", "She's bleeding out of her side, there's a lot of blood." I can hear the panic in my voice but I can't help it, I love her so much I can't lose her before I even tell her that.
"Okay find a clean cloth of something and apply pressure, help is on the way but they're about ten minutes out," he says, I put him on speaker then pull off the flannel I have on over my t-shirt and lean over her to apply pressure to her side. "Okay I'm applying pressure, now what?" I'm trying my hardest to keep from crying, "Okay, son what's your name?" he asks, "James, James Walker" I breathe out.
"Okay James you said you were in a car accident, how many other cars?", I look over and see the car that hit us, we've spun around and its nose smashed into the passenger side. "Just one I think", I apply more pressure to try and stop the bleeding that is seeping through my shirt.
Tyler's eyes fly open and she gasps, "Fuck, fuck what happened?", "Tyler thank god, we were in an accident, help is on the way," I say, "James did she wake up?" the operator asks, "Yes," I say and keep applying pressure.
"James, Daniel he-he's on duty" she rasps out, I look at her a little confused, what's that got to do with anything? Then it clicks, "Um sir?" I ask, "You can go through to cops right?" I ask as Tyler's head falls to the side and her eyes close again.
"Don't worry officers are on route to you along with the ambulance and you can talk to them then," he says, "No, I need to talk to a certain officer, her dad's a cop and he's on duty right now he needs to know" I say and he goes silent.
"What's his name?", "Sargent Strand.", "Okay, I'll put him through," he says then the line goes quiet. "This is Sargent Strand," Daniel says through the phone, "Daniel I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry" I can't help the tears that start to fall.
"James, what happened?" he sounds worried but like he's trying to keep calm, "He came out of nowhere" I sob, "James who, I need you to calm down", "He was swerving all about and then crashed into us. I'm sorry, I'm really sorry."
"James... is she, is she go-" I cut him off, "No she's bleeding out of her side and was unconscious but woke up and told me you were on duty then she closed her eyes and quit talking again." I say taking deep breaths to calm myself.
"Okay, where are yall I'm on my way," he says letting out a breath, "The backroad down Harvey", "Okay I'm two minutes away, I'm gonna let you talk to the operator again," he says and I hear his sirens start up right before it goes silent again.
"Okay James, the paramedics, and firemen are coming down the road you should be able to see and hear the lights." the operator says coming back.
I look up and see them parking then running out, "Yeah they're here" I say letting out a breath I didn't realize I was holding. "Okay, I'm gonna hang up now", "okay," I say and a paramedic comes up and opens my door.
"Are you injured?" she asks, "No it's my girlfriend she's bleeding a lot out of her side" I say and she gestures for me to get out.
"Okay I'll take over, anything I should know about her?" she asks taking over and applying pressure. "She's diabetic, type one", I figure her being autistic isn't really necessary right now.
I hear more sirens and I look over and see a bunch of cops pulling up. "James!" Daniel yells when he gets out of his car, he runs over and pulls me into a classic Daniel bear hug.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry," I say crying into his shoulder. "It's okay, she's getting the help she needs she'll be okay," he says rubbing my back.
"Now the other car, you said he was swerving around?" he asks pulling back to look at my face. "Y-yeah he was all over the place then just boom he crashed into us" I look back to the cars.
Firemen are trying to pry the other driver's door open. They get it open and he takes off, "Uh Sargent?" one of the officers says.
"Go get him!" Daniel barks at the officers, they run after the guy and he doesn't get very far before one of the officers tackles him down and cuffs him.
I look back at my dads' car and see they got Tyler out and she's now on gurney, I run over to her side. "What hospital are yall taking her to?" Daniel asks coming up behind me.
"Mercy's," one of the paramedics says putting her into the ambulance, "Do you want to ride with her?" The same paramedic asks looking at me. I nod and get into the ambulance, "James I'm gonna call your parents I'll meet yall at the hospital." Daniel says then the doors close and we drive off.
I just hope she's okay, and the first chance I get I'm telling her I love her.
