Three years have passed since I first arrived here.
Within the first year of being here, I learned how to read and write in this world's language.
After learning to read for the first year I would spend the next 2 years learning about some of this world and its history.
So far I know this world contains close to 4 continents. However, I was only able to gain information on the continent I currently live on and that place...
Is known as Lothoria.
...
Three main countries control this land; the main one is the Eldrida Empire which controls a majority of the top half of Lothoria, Eldrida is also the largest country in Lothoria. In the south is the Tancred Kingdom. To the East of Eldrida is a country known as the Sagar Kingdom. Although it falls behind in size of the three, they are still a very capable country.
Coming through even smaller than Sagar is a dominion known as Ozul, they are on the west side of Lothoria and though they share borders with the Eldrida Empire and the Tancred Kingdom, they are an independent and very secretive country, that won't cooperate with others.
Above Eldrida is a small Continent that only has snow, not many people live here as the climates are too extreme to start any big settlements.
In the Northwest, on the border of Eldrida, live the Elves in their territory. While most live here in solitude, some have chosen to live alongside humans.
The Elves that continue to live in this territory, and the few that are away from their home, are gifted with more mana than the average human and are born with a natural affinity for light, water, or the rare nature magic.
Those who chose to leave the Elf Forest have been sworn to secrecy and were told to never leak information regarding the Elf Forest.
The Queen of the Eldrida Empire and the Elven King came to terms. The queen held great respect for the Elves and let them live in peace in their own land, and if a human crossed the boundary they will be asked to leave, and if they refuse, the Elves have the right to kill.
Along with elves and humans are the beast-resembling people known as beastmen. They resemble humans with the only noticeable difference being their animal-like features; including furry ears and tails from animals such as foxes, cats, wolves, etc. This species also live alongside humans and even established some of their own small villages that comprise of their own kind.
Most humans have no problems living in harmony with those of other genetics, some have even married and had children together.
However, because of the fact humans make up the majority of the population on this continent, some use it as a reason to put themselves above others leading to discrimination and subjugation, treating the beast people as nothing but mere animals. Even some unlucky elves have been caught in the crossfire.

Regarding the continent of Lothoria, another piece of history that I came to know of, was The Great Human-Demon War that I heard about through stories.
Far to the west of Lothoria is another continent nearly the size of Lothoria. It is known as the Demon Domain.
Approximately 200 years ago. the Demon army, following the Calamitous Demon Lord Valgon and his 10 generals, charged through portals known as gates into the west coast of Lothoria.
This would quickly lead to a long-lasting war against humans.
After years filled with back-and-forth bloodshed between the humans and the demons. Five humans, stronger than anyone has ever seen, would stand up and take over the fight.
In just 5 years with them now leading the human armies into battle, the demon lord and 5 generals would perish at the hands of the 5 strongest champions.
With the demon lord defeated, the last 5 demon generals and the rest of the army would retreat to the demon domain through the gates.
A war that lasted 20 years would finally end, with the humans being victorious.
The Demon Domain would then fall into silence even till now.

Along with all of the historic and cultural information I've gained on Lothoria so far, I've also spent the last 2 years learning how the magic in this world works and perfecting my own.
There are several affinities in the world, with some being rarer than others. There are 6 most common affinities; being air, water, earth, fire, light, and dark. The majority of the population is born with mana and at least one affinity, sometimes 2, and in rare cases even 3 affinities. Although, it's also a rare occurrence for some people to also be born without mana at all.
In this world mana is a source of magical power that can naturally reside in any living thing. Nearly everybody has a mana pool, and this pool determines how powerful their magic can be.
As people grow from infants to adulthood, the capacity of their mana pool grows along with them until it eventually caps. Also, because mana is constantly flowing in one's body it also grants a boost to speed and strength.
If someone has a small mana pool they will only be able to cast low-grade magic, and vice versa those with a larger mana pool can cast higher-grade magic and have the potential to become some of the strongest people.
If a person were to enlist in the kingdom's army; their affinity, mana capacity, and strength will determine if they are accepted or rejected.
Those who have magic, but aren't interested in working for the throne, will tend to work as adventurers for guilds.
To gauge and keep track of the strength and stature of each individual, there is a ranking system.
The rankings are:
[F Rank]
[D Rank]
[C Rank]
[B Rank}
[District Rank B+]
[City Rank A]
[State Rank A+]
[S Rank]
[National Rank S+]
[SS Rank]
[Continental Rank SSS]
In guilds, these rankings will determine what kind of quests an individual will be allowed to take, And the more quests you complete the more you have a chance of being promoted to a higher rank.
However, ever since the 5 great champions defeated the demon army, it has been unheard of for anyone to reach SS Rank or above.
...
The monsters and beasts are ranked in the same way adventurers are. From D rank up to A+ rank.
Monsters that live in known areas above ground tend to be weaker than the others that live in unknown areas that aren't traveled through often.
These monsters can be ranked anywhere between D or A+ rank, so most don't go into caves alone.
This land also contains dungeons. These dungeons all go down a certain number of floors containing different monsters and treasures until you reach a room where a 'boss' type monster will reside. Defeating the boss will officially clear the dungeon.
Inside these dungeons, the strength of the monsters will rise as each floor is cleared, and the numbers of floors are always random they can go down 12 floors to over 100 floors.
Some of these dungeons would be impossible to clear completely, and since they always have monsters inside them, adventurers would use the dungeons as hunting grounds and farm for materials that can sell for good prices.
Because of the lack of threats toward humanity and a possible war not breaking out again. Humans have been living in peaceful times.
However, because of this, humans have grown weaker. With only, according to my father, 6 S rank adventurers currently in Lothoria.
