The night was cold and so was the midnight breeze which caressed the face of the vampire who was delicately swirling the blood like wine in his golden goblet. "How is she fairing." he asked the man in the shadows at the corner of his room. Rubin came out of shadows showing his sandy brown hair and red ruby eyes. He strode to the blood cabinet and took a glass goblet then he stood behind the vampire in black pyjamas"She is awake but there's something wrong." Deep lines fromed between the vampire's eyebrows as he turned to Robin. "Her behavior is different. Is seems as if she changed characters after she almost died." The vampire turned back to the window and focused on the moon whose light glowed on his face showing is violet eyes.
The sounds of heels click clacking on the wooden floor made the maids turn to see the young mistress Selena with her usual black bonnet on her hair. But why did she always wear it they asked. No one knew why and no one had the courage to ask why. Selena received an invitation from her uncle to join him for breakfast with the family. "You must be happy , milady. This is the first time you get to eat in the dining hall . You usually eat in your room or the kitchen." Martha said with a big smile as she tailed behind Selena. But her mistress didn't smile . She did not even look the bit happy about eating with the family. Why would she be happy when it was only after her attack that the Baron was suddenly being loving to her. Even from afar, Selena could hear the buzzling laugher from where she was and it pricked her heart. 'I guess they neglected her enough for me to feel the emotional pain her body feels' she thought. "Good morning. I greet you all" Selena's cold voice made the laughter stopped as everyone turned to that one member who looked entirely different from them. "What are you doing here" Grezelda asked with disgust laced in her voice,"No one needs a stranger here." she continued as she seized Selena from top to bottom."Uncle himself personally invited me to join you for breakfast. If you have a problem with that you can ask him . Wait I just remembered , you aren't the head of this house neither are you the oldest"Selena giggled coldly as she walked to her uncle's chair and stood behind him gazing at the rest as she continued "Grezelda do not bite more than you can chew. You are the daughter of the Baron and not the head of this family so act as such" she said with a glare. "Uncle, the seats here are occupied . Where should I sit"she asked as she looked around. "Pardon me, I forgot to add a chair since you don't always eat here."
"Do not trouble yourself, uncle. Martha bring in a chair for me."Selena said with a nod. Martha hurriedly asked a maid to bring a chair. "Where should she place it, Milady." she asked. "Right infront of my uncle." she said making everyone turn their head to her direction. " Do not cross your limit" Jacob boomed as his nose flared with anger. " I already did ,uncle"Selena replied with a smirk on her face. Now she knows why he invited her. All he wanted was to disgrace her infront of the family and for once she almost thought he actually cared. "I wish to visit the town" Selena suddenly said breaking the silence in the dining hall. "For what reason if I may ask. You know why you are not allowed to go outside. And by the way your marriage is in two weeks time."Jacob said shocking the rest of the family. "Selena is getting married to who?" Patrick the youngest asked. "The Duke" Henry answered as he cleaned his mouth. Everyone gasp and looked at Selena who was eating nonchalantly and ignoring their reaction. "Excuse me" she said after she finished eating her food.
The sun brightly enough for Selena who was taking a stroll in the rose garden as she thought of what to do next. Why didn't he want her to go out? Maybe it was because of her hair. she thought as she admired the rose garden that the former Selena grew herself. "Did you create this so that you could have something else that looked similar to your hair . You wanted to feel like you weren't the only one' she thought as she touched the petals of the rose with a sad smile. As she gazed at the red colour she removed the bonnet and let her hair down. The red flames danced with the wind celebrating its freedom. 'Much better' she thought to herself as she opened her arms and enjoyed the dance of the wind. "I can't get married. I have to live my wish. This marriage will not happen even if fate tries to stop it." she whispered as she opened her eyes to reveal angry and determined sea blue eyes.
The night was filled with the sounds of different animals and the stars lit the night making making the animals of the night sing with joy. The silhouette of a person in a bunny mask wearing a black hood was seen walking to the town. "Who said I need your permission to do what I want , uncle." the Bunny mask hooded person said as the locks her flaming red hair swayed with the movement of wind.
