Chapter 1 - Chaos in the Crimson garden.

Balance!

There may be many reasons for life to start and end. But, for that life to prosper what it needs is balance!

"These were the words master said to me when I first took on the role of an administrator." said a man dressed in white robes standing on the edge of a mountain looking over the barren lands below.

He was holding a withered plant in his hand. he murmured, "Sigh... that old man will roast me on a grill if he finds out about this."

As the man was in deep thought, he felt a presence nearing him. As he turned around, he saw a beast-like humanoid flying toward him.

It was a red dessert lizard that successfully cultivated and became immortal.

"Goru Sama!!" called out the creature rushing towards the man.

"Walu !? why the fuck is this lizard here, did that Old man find out what happened already? " thought Goru.

"Goru Sama, I have been searching everywhere for you," said Walu looking at Goru.

Goru examining the plant in his hand with deep thought said "What is it?" with clear dissatisfaction.

"Goru Sama... I think this world is beyond saving..." responded Walu dressed in red robes while looking at nearby dead trees.

"Well... anybody can say that much, tell me something I don't know," said Goru with a glance of obviousness toward Walu.

"Haha... how can I ever know something Goru Sama doesn't know," said Walu laughing out loud.

"This dim-wit Lizard can't even read the mood," sighed Goru.

"Well... it's not like we caused it. Sometimes nature has its plans," said Goru Sama.

"Well, it's not my fault for sure, and I wonder what Lord Roku would think of it," said Walu in response.

Beads of sweat formed on Goru's forehead at the mention of Lord Roku.

"Come on now, Walu! How long have we known each other? Can't you help me a little here? You know how much that old man is obsessed with the crimson garden!" said Goru with a fake smile covering his fear.

"My apologies, Goru Sama. I would have taken the blame if it was any other situation. But you have bought this upon yourself, so please try to understand." Said Walu in a stern tone.

"Walu..."

The next day in the Crimson palace...

"Goru, you idiot!"

a shout resounded throughout the palace.

"you had one thing to do! One single thing!"

"all you had to do was stay put and observe if life in those worlds is stable. But you had to mess it up," shouted the old man sitting on the throne.

"But grandfather, how would I know it would turn out like this? All I did was reincarnate a few people or transmigrate a few people to different worlds with their memories intact."

"I thought this would bring a new perspective to the world, and peace will be established in this chaotic cultivation world," said Goru sama to defend himself.

This further infuriated the old man.

"you idiot, there is a reason why memories of the souls get erased during the reincarnation cycle. It also removes their unfulfilled desires", shouted the old man.

"But grandfather, it's just one of the many worlds we oversee. It's not like it will cause a huge effect on our Crimson palace," said Goru, trying to defend himself.

"Child, that may be one of the many worlds we oversee, but the worlds we oversee are not any ordinary worlds; these worlds contain the legacy and memories of the current ruling Lord of the eastern heavens," said the old man in a depressed tone.

"Goru, in a few decades, you might be taking my position as the administrator of the Crimson palace, but to have done such a thing at a time like this might affect this decision by the council," said the old man with a deep sigh.

After listening to his grandfather, Goru was feeling nervous.

"Goru, this will be the last time I will defend you. If this happens again, you shall be replaced as the heir apparent to the throne. now leave!"

Even after his grandfather told him to leave, Goru stood still with sweat dripping down his forehead as if he wanted to say something but couldn't.

This alerted his grandfather. After living for millennia, he could sense that something was wrong.

"Goru, this was not the only world where you allowed such reincarnations and transmigrations, right?"

Silence...

"Goru..."

Silence...

Gritting his teeth, Roko Sama got up from his throne and came close to goru.

"Well, now that we know about the issue, we can find a way to mitigate the situation. It's not something we can't handle. So, never repeat it. You will also be part of the mitigation team. Now leave before I get angry."

Silence...

"Goru, Is there something else?" Lord Roku asked with a serious tone.

"Be... Benefits..." Goru murmured.

"Well.. at least you have not given them any irrational benefits, right ?" Lord Roku started sounding a little anxious while approaching Goru.

Silence...

Getting a little closer to Goru, Roku felt very anxious.

"Well, at least it's not related to divinity, right... , I mean, no one can be that irrational, right? " asked Lord Roku in a low tone, fastening his steps towards Goru.

Silence...

"Is it related to the divine guidance system ?" asked Lord Roku, now right before Goru.

"Well... it's.."

"BANG.."

Goru lost consciousness while he was thinking of a reply to Lord Roku's last question.

"Wrong answer, my child. No was the answer you should have given," said Roku in a low tone, now staring at the newly formed hole in the roof.

He then glanced at Walu, kneeling at a distance, and said, "Tell that imbecile to clean up his mess before it's too late."

"Yes, Lord!"

All the other guards came rushing down after hearing the huge sound when the ceiling broke. They got a rough idea of what happened when they saw a human-shaped hole in the roof. The loud shouts they heard also helped them understand the situation. Since there was nothing they could do, they just left.

This Event will spread among the residents of the Crimson Garden in the future as "The Slap of Enlightenment." But that is a story for another day.

They might wonder what made the Palace lord so angry that he would hit his loving grandson so hard. But Walu, who carries a Divine guidance system's avatar himself, knows full well how much of a mistake Goru made.

Born to mortals and heavens, divinity is an entity that can read heaven's path. She was also known as the first immortal.

Legend says that She has guided many mortals to the path of immortality. But, when the time came for her to be part of the heavens, she had a vision of a catastrophe. So, she created the Divine guidance system, which will contain a part of her soul for eternity. She then taught her most beloved apprentices how to manifest an avatar that could communicate and borrow the knowledge of the Divine Guidance system. These Apprentices are known to the world as the great immortals.

The only people with access to these Avatars are those tasked with maintaining the balance under the heavens. Of these, only a few know about creating such an avatar.

These are the direct descendants of the great immortals.

"Goru Sama is a descendant of one of the great immortals who passes down their secrets to random souls... Sigh... It will blow up if not handled properly." thought walu while flying toward Goru.

He understood that this information should not be spread at any cost, which was why he had been ordered to tell Goru sama to take care of the issue himself.

"Goru Sama is usually very smart, but I initially thought it was just random souls with intact memories. But even the avatar? What was he even thinking !?" thought Walu as he recalled the time when he tried to stop Goru with his antics. But later, let him think how much of a problem it could cause.

He continued on his flight to contact Goru Sama, who had a head start.

A deep sigh... resounded in the crimson palace.

"I may have put too much burden on his shoulders. But it's time for him to learn the consequences of his actions." Lord Roku said, looking at an Old Lady's portrait.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

In a world far away from the crimson palace.

It was late in the evening, and the sun was almost set. People from the village have finally completed their daily work and started to assemble at the village centre. The village chief wanted to have an open discussion.

"The crops don't look that good this year", the village chief stated the main issue of this meeting.

"Well, we can only blame the weather. It's been chaotic lately," another villager sounded in his voice.

"At this rate, we will not even have enough food to hold a ritual for the goddess this year, " said a woman holding a little girl.

When the little girl heard that there wouldn't be a ritual, she turned to the lady and said sadly, "But that is the only festival we celebrate, Mother. Let's do it, please..."

"Well, at this rate, we will need a miracle from the goddess for that to happen," said the village chief, looking at all the kids that were present.

"Mother! Mother! Look, a falling star !" The little girl shouted, looking at the now dark sky.

"Hurry and make a wish. It might become true." said the mother to her excited daughter.

Closing her eyes, She murmured, "I wish to celebrate the festival."

looking at that, the chief's heart melted, and with a loud laugh, he said, "Hahaha... Everyone, it might be a sign from the goddess! Let's pray for a good harvest. Who knows, maybe the goddess will respond in kind."

"Haha true what's there to lose, maybe it's a sign. I wish to have a good harvest this year." shouted a villager among the crowd.

"I hope we have a great festival this year."

"I wish we could get plenty of food for this year."

People started to pray after watching the falling star.
