The night was long and dark, the only thing keeping Iseul up and able to see his working hands being the many candles around him.
Many kind maidens have already gone by his room to warn him of the fire hazard the thread, paper and fire would, but Iseul would assure them each time that he'd be fine. He couldn't take a break, even if he direly wanted and needed to.
If he didn't finish this robe before the morning, he'd disappoint the one kind member of the royal family who could possibly be some kind of shield for him against the unkind prince.
The robe was covered in beautiful intricate details, but not that many that it'd be overwhelming and heavy on the eyes, it was just enough for the lady to look charming and beautiful as a princess.
Eventually, it was finished, before the sunrise.
The robes were laying on his table as he had fallen asleep right next to his instrument, goosebumps covering him as a blanket. The door opened, though not by a maid bringing him new attire, it was the prince yet again.
He wasn't there to wake the weaver up, but to check whether the robe had been finished weaving, which it was. His pearly eyes moved from the new robe for his dear sister, to the sleeping boy on the floor as his gaze softened.
He noticed the cold temperature of the room and let out an annoyed sigh before moving towards the boy, gently picking him up and wiping his messy hair out of his face.
He stared for a while before he noticed Iseul moving into his body to be closer to the source of warmth, it made his slow beating heart skip a beat. This wasn't proper of him to feel as he carefully laid the weaver down on his mattress.
Jun-Suk then searched for his blanket and carefully laid it on top of him, tucking him comfortably before moving to get out of the room so no one who would wake up could see him leave the peasant's room.
Morning hit, the sun shining brightly over the large city walls... Utterly breathtaking. Iseul who got woken up by the sun rays falling on his face through small bits of scraped off paper, sat up and looked around.
He couldn't remember crawling in his bed, nor somehow tucking himself in which made him wonder... Did a maid wake up to check up on him once more and found him passed out on the floor? I doubt they would... He was a complete stranger still.
A certain someone then crossed his mind, making him immediately lift up the covers to check if he was still wearing the attire from the day before, which he thankfully was.
The door slid open, a package of new clothing being put in his door opening for him to put on for the day where he'd join the princess and prince on their journey.
He had nearly forgotten all about it, making him hurry to change into the new clothes and tidy up his hair the most he could without a mirror to look into.
It wasn't long until a maid called out for him outside of the door "Iseul, breakfast is ready! Come sit with us in the kitchen!" The woman spoke, making Iseul open the door and walk together with the lady, he had no clue where everything was just yet.
The breakfast was quite nice, nicer than he'd expect the workers to eat, it being a warm breakfast was also a good thing for the low temperatures the morning could hit in their area.
The ladies eagerly asked about the robe Iseul had made for the princess, but Iseul simply chuckled and told them to await for the princess to wear it before they could see.
Iseul was quick to earn a good name among the other workers as they thought of him as a cute son they wanted to treasure and spoil any time they would see him.
He was definitely getting popular around the ladies, his kind and polite demeanor and cute face being the main reason for this. Iseul didn't mind, though he'd feel guilty for all the spoiling he'd receive, he didn't feel deserving of such treatment.
After their breakfast was done, horses could be heard neighing as they were attached to the carousel who would carry the two royals and their weaver.
This was a good timer for Iseul to go and step outside to bring the robe to one of the personal maidens of the princess. The robe was beautiful, a deep wine red with flowers detailing the sides together with intricate elegant lines to compliment.
After making sure the robes arrived safely, Iseul went to stand by the horses and trace his hands over their noses, he's always loved animals.
The horses didn't seem too used to the gentle and comfortable touch as they hitched away from him before moving back for more of this gentle touch. "You don't get pet a lot, huh," Iseul mumbled as a sad frown formed on his face.
The prince was first to arrive, lightly brushing against Iseul as he stood behind him "you like these noble creatures?" he asked, making Iseul flinch and turn around to step away from him.
He didn't answer the question as he held his hands together in front of his lap, looking down to his side "Well, do you?" he repeated the question to which Iseul answered a simple answer "Yes I do, they're beautiful."
"During this trip, don't go where I can't follow, it's dangerous," Jun-Suk spoke, making Iseul's heart skip a beat, but not the way he made the prince's during his peaceful slumber. Dangerous? How could a trip with a fun and easygoing purpose behind it be dangerous?
Iseul nodded, taking the orders from the prince.
The princess walked towards them, wearing the robe making her look utterly enchanting. She wore a light blush on her face as people's eyes slid over her beauty, but she only had eye for the one who made it for her.
"Thank you so much Iseul, it's beautiful, I couldn't have asked someone who would've done a better job" the princess complimented Iseul who smiled softly. At least she was happy, that's all that mattered.
The three got onto the carousel, the two royals sitting in the front while Iseul sat in the back, looking back to the estate of the royals while they were on their way to their new destination.
